• How to fix Jersey POST request parameters warning?

  I'm building a very simple REST API using Jersey, and I've got a warning in my log files that I'm not sure about. WARNING: A servlet POST request, to the URI http://myserver/mycontext/myapi/users/12345?action=delete, contains form parameters in the request body but the request body has been consumed by the servlet or a servlet filter accessing the request parameters. Only resource methods using @FormParam will work as expected. Resource methods consuming the request body by other means will not work as expected. My webapp only has the Jersey servlet defined, mapped to /myapi/* How can I stop these warnings?

  I working with Reporting services in Sharepoint Mode, I am able to show the report in Sql Server Reporting services report viwer , the report has multiple parameters , My question is how do I pass more thatn one parameter from a custome web part to this report. I am able to pass one parameter by implementing the ITransformableFilterValues interface in the custom webpart , what I want to do is pass more than one parameter . Ex: If there are 2 parameters on report then i should able to map each from the control in webpart. Any help or guidance is appreciated.

  Hi, I'm trying to write a stored proc (SP) in Sybase. The SP takes 5 varchar parameters. Based on the parameters passed, I want to construct the column names to be selected from a particular table.   Hi, I have a function that accepts a variable number of parameters: foo (Class... types); In which I get a certain number of class types. Next, I want to have a function bar( ?? ) That will accepts a variable number of parameters as well, and be able to verify that the variables are the same number (that's easy) and of the same types (the hard part) as was specified in foo. How can I do that? Edit: to clarify, a call could be: foo (String.class, Int.class); bar ("aaa", 32); // OK! bar (3); // ERROR! bar ("aa" , "bb"); //ERROR! Also, foo and bar are methods of the same class.

  At the moment I'm working through "Practical Common Lisp" from Peter Seibel. In the chapter "Practical: A Simple Database" (http://www.gigamonkeys.com/book/practical-a-simple-database.html) Seibel explains keyword parameters and the usage of a supplied-parameter with the following example: (defun foo (&key a (b 20) (c 30 c-p)) (list a b c c-p)) Results: (foo :a 1 :b 2 :c 3) ==> (1 2 3 T) (foo :c 3 :b 2 :a 1) ==> (1 2 3 T) (foo :a 1 :c 3) ==> (1 20 3 T) (foo) ==> (NIL 20 30 NIL) So if I use &key at the beginning of my parameter list, I have the possibility to use a list of 3 parameters name, default value and the third if the parameter as been supplied or not. Ok. But looking at the code in the above example: (list a b c c-p) How does the lisp interpreter know that c-p is my "supplied parameter"?

Can anyone help me?

  I consider refactoring few method signatures that currently take parameter of type List or Set of concrete classes --List[Foo]-- to use repeated parameters instead: Foo*. This would allow me to use the same method name and overload it based on the parameter type. This was not possible using List or Set, because List[Foo] and List[Bar] have same type after erasure: List[Object]. In my case the refactored methods work fine with scala.Seq[Foo] that results from the repeated parameter. I would have to change all the invocations and add a sequence argument type annotation to all collection parameters: baz.doStuffWith(foos:_*). Given that switching from collection parameter to repeated parameter is semantically equivalent, does this change have some performance impact that I should be aware of? Is the answer same for scala 2.7._ and 2.8?

  Hi, there seems to be a limit to the number of parameters a clojure function can take. When defining a function with more than 20 parameters I receive the following: Obviously this can be avoided, but I was hitting this limit porting the execution model of an existing DSL to clojure, and I have constructs in my DSL like the following, which by macro expansion can be mapped to functions quite easily except for this limit: (defAlias nn1 ((element ?e1) (element ?e2)) number "@doc features of the elements are calculated for entry into the first neural network, the result is the score computed by the latter" (nn1-recall (nn1-feature00 ?e1 ?e2) (nn1-feature01 ?e1 ?e2) ... (nn1-feature89 ?e1 ?e2))) which is a DSL statement to call a neural network with 90 input nodes. Can work around it of course, but was wondering where the limit comes from. Thanks.

  Is there a way to create "asserts" on the parameters of a table-valued UDF. I'd like to use a table-valued UDF for performance reasons, however I know that certain parameter combinations (like start and end dates that are more than a month apart) will cause performance issues on the server for all users. End users query the database via Excel using UDFs. UDFs (and table-valued UDFs in particular) are useful when the data is too large for Excel. Users write simple SQL queries that categorizes the data into groups to reduce the number of rows. For example, the user may be interested in weekly aggregates rather than hourly ones. Users write a group by SELECT statement to reduce the rows by 24x7=168 times. I know I can write RAISERROR statements in multistatement UDFs, but table-valued UDFs are integrated in the query optimizer so these queries are more efficient with table-valued UDFs. So, can I define assertions on the parameters passed to a table-valued UDF?

Problems occur, when I use special characters, like german umlauts (Ö,Ä,Ü) in these parameters. In my java task they appear as ?-characters (using System.out.print). All my files are encoded as UTF-8. and my build.xml has the corresponding declaration: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> For the details of writing the task: I do it according to http://ant.apache.org/manual/develop.html (especially Point 5 nested elements). I also use RTMP Researcher to monitor the traffic and events that occur between the client and the server. Here is what I note: There is obviously a map with options that is being exchanged between the red5 instance and the client.   Hi, I am able to override multiple config parameters using nose-testconfig plugin only if i pass the overriding parameters on commandline. e.g. nosetests -c nose.cfg -s --tc=jack.env1:asl --tc=server2.env2:abc But when I define the same thing inside nose.cfg, than only the value for last parameter is modified. e.g. tc = server2.env2:abc tc = jack.env1:asl I checked the plugin code. It looks fine to me. • Rails best practice on conditional parameters in a controller action

  I have a controller create action looks for one or more parameters in the following ruleset. Let's say we have two parameters, foo and bar. The rules are the following: 1) if foo doesn't exist in the parameter list, bar must. 2) if bar doesn't exist in the parameter list, foo must. 3) they can both co-exist. they can't both be omitted (that's redundant with my rules above :) ) Can anyone show an example in Rails on how this is handled in the controller? Should I use a before_filter? Would appreciate some guidance as this isn't something that ActiveRecord validates.. so I'd need to build an error message to the user directly from controller logic, not model logic. For bonus points, I output the error in XML, so if you can show how that's done, that'd be great. Hypothetically let's call the resource "Lorem", so it is created via http://foo/lorem.xml and we have lorem_controller.rb.

  hi! I have a PHP-file which will be called from a form. So it gets parameters over $_GET. Now I need the exact same functionality of this file, but not in such a form-call. I will include it in normal code with fixed parameters (which normally come from the form). So my file can work with the form AND without it. I know only the way with include and setting the $_GET in front of it. But I am not sure this is the most elegant way (I dont like the idea of setting things like $_GET). any other ways of doing this? br, chris

  Hi I can't figure out how to pass parameters to my viewmodels from other views or viewmodels. For instance, I have a View called Customers. There is a grid inside, and if you double-click the grid, a new view is supposed to come up and allow you to edit that customer's data. But how will the View(Model) responsible for editing data know which customer it's supposed to open if I can't pass any parameters inside? EventAggregator is out of the question because I obviously can't create hundreds of eventargs, each for one view. And besides, it's a lousy solution. So far I was able to come up with: CustomerDataView custView = new CustomerDataView(customerId, currentContext); manager.Regions[RegionNames.Sidebar].AddAndActivate(custView); What do you think about this particular solution? Is this the way it's normally done? What I don't like about this is the fact that I lose out on automatic dependency injection by Unity.
