  • qT quncompress gzip data

    Hello, I stumble upon a problem, and can't find a solution. So what I want to do is uncompress data in qt, using qUncompress(QByteArray), send from www in gzip format. I used wireshark to determine that this is valid gzip stream, also tested with zip/rar and both can uncompress it. AFAIK gzip consist of 10 byte header, DEFLATE peyload, 12 byte trailer ( 8 byte CRC32 + 4 byte ISIZE - uncompresed data size ). Striping header and trailer should leave me with DEFLATE data stream, qUncompress yields same error. I checked with data string compressed in PHP, like this: $stringData = gzcompress( "{status:false}", 1); and qUncompress uncompress that data.(I didn't see and gzip header though i.e. ID1 = 0x1f, ID2 = 0x8b ) I checked above code with debug, and error occurs at: if ( #endif ((BITS(8) << 8) + (hold >> 8)) % 31) { //here is error, WHY? long unsigned int hold = 35615 strm->msg = (char *)"incorrect header check"; state->mode = BAD; break; } inflate.c line 610.   • Insane CPU usage in QT 5.0

    I'm having trouble using the QT framework, particularly with the paintEvent of QWidget. I have a QWidget set up, and am overriding the paintEvent of it. I need to render a bunch of rectangles (grid system), 51 by 19, leading to 969 rectangles being drawn. This is done in a for loop. Then I also need to draw an image on each on of these grids. The QWidget is added to a QMainWindow, which is shown. This works nicely, but it's using up 47% of CPU per window open! And I want to allow the user to open multiple windows like this, likey having 3-4 open at a time, which puts the CPU close to 150%. Why does this happen? Here is the paintEvent contents. So how do I toggle "always on top" for a QMainWindow without that "flashing" side effect?

    Hi! I write program to communicate with modem (it useing Hayes commands) and this is working. GUI is programmed with QT, but communication with COM port is write with winapi library. I have problem when I want to send with my program message from one computer to another, i can't send Polish chars (they are repleaced by '?'), how can I fix it ? Does anyone have idea ?? And I have one more problem, I can't send message from my program to Microsoft HyperTerminal, HyperTerminal receive something, but not that what I send.     Hello, I'm having a problem with a QTreeView in my program: The SpinBox used to edit the double value of a checkable item is displayed incorrectly when using the Windows style. Only the up and down buttons of the SpinBox can be seen, but not any value. If Qt::ItemIsUserCheckable is removed, the SpinBox will be displayed correctly. If the number is replaced by a longer one like 0.01, it can be seen partially. Any idea how this problem can be solved?     Just installed ubuntu 13.10 x86 with all updates. I then installed qt4 libraries and qt creator 271: sudo apt-get install build-essentials sudo apt-get install libqt4-dev sudi apt-get install qtcreator Both installed successfully, and i can launch qt creator, but then i get a black window when i switch to "examples" or "development": http://i.imgur.com/koi6S9S.png The windows cannot be closed. I am guessing because qtcreator somehow cannot find the qt version i installed. This is the settings page: http://i.imgur.com/OgAKH7S.png what to do?

  • PyQt design issues

    I've been working on a my first real project using PyQt lately. I've done just a little bit of work in Qt for C++ but nothing more than just messing around. I've found that the Qt python bindings are essentially just a straight port of C++ classes into python, which makes sense. The issue is that this creates a lot of messy, unpythonic code. For example if you look at QAbstractItemModel, there's a lot of hoops you have to go through that forces you to hide the actual python. I was just wondering if there's any intention of writing a python implementation of Qt that isn't necessarily just a wrapper? Either by Nokia or anyone else? I really like Qt but I would love to be able to write more pythonic code. I hope this is OK to ask here. I'm not trying to start a GUI war or anything.

    So I downloaded the ATI Stream SDK. I don't have a gpu now so I use the '-device cpu' and got the programs/examples in the OpenCl directory working by adding the directory to LD_LIBRARY_PATH etc. Now the problem is when installing QtOpenCl. configure script gives me: skkard@skkard-desktop:~/Applications/qt-labs-opencl$ ./configure This is the QtOpenCL configuration utility.   • Using Qtcreator (with Qwt), really basic stuff

    I'm trying to make a Qt program using Qtcreator and Qwt for plotting. I've never used Qtcreator before. I've created a mainwindow and added a Qwtplot widget there (object name: qwtPlot). The widget shows up in the program when I compile and run it. But theres no mention of the qwtPlot object anywhere in the (autogenerated) code so I assume it is being added at compile time from the .ui xml file (or something). My question is that... how do I modify/change the qwtPlot object? Or where should I place the code. I'm having a hard time articulating my question but the question basically is "How do I do anything with the qwtPlot widget which is created (graphically) with Qtcreator?". I've checked some tutorials but in the tutorials they add the widgets manually in the code, but I'd like to use Qtcreator (because my UI will be fairly complicated). This whole Qtcreator is pretty confusing...

    hi, I am working on Windows xp and am trying to get a simple video player running. I am trying to use Phonon::VideoPlayer module for this. I am connecting the signal as connect(self.player,SIGNAL("finished()"),self.player.deleteLater) and then , when the Play button is pressed, it makes the following call: self.player.play(Phonon.MediaSource("C:\vid.mp4")) But, this doesn't display the video in the video player widget.     Hi, I am using QStackedWidget to switch between the views, I will be able to traverse between the views, I am facing problem in some scenario, where I do not require the widgets, I want to remove them completely.. QStackedWidget provides the functionality to remove widgets, still the ownership of the widget will be there, I mean widget will be hidden. I dont want this to be happen, when I call remove widget the widget should be deleted. how to handle this?

But as you can see, there is non. I comment the vector cause that should solve the Problem, but i does not. The Message is a complex struct, but even converting it to int did not solve it.
