  I'm trying to figure out how to traverse a generic list of items that I want to remove from another list of items. So lest say I have this as a hypothetical example List<car> list1 = GetTheList(); List<car> list2 = GetSomeOtherList(); I want to traverse list1 with a foreach and remove each item in List1 in List2. I'm not quite sure how to go about that as foreach is not index based.

  Hello everyone, What I'm looking to do is to sorta a Java List or Map in the order the items are in a XML File. For Example I have a list of function names as so: functionOne functionThree functionTwo The XML File looks like this: <xml> <function>functionOne</function> <function>functionTwo</function> <function>functionThree</function> </xml> So I would like to sort the list so the function names are as so: functionOne functionTwo functionThree Now Im trying to do this for Variables as well, so there are around 500+ unique 'items'. Does anyone have any idea how I can go about doing this? Now for the file that determines that sort order doesn't have to be XML it just what I use the most, it can be anything that can get the job done. Thanks in advance for your time.

• How to list all items in custom taxonomy with a permanlink in Wordpress

  Hi, Not sure how to word this. I've set up a type in Wordpress called Products. I also have two taxonomies linked to Products called Brands and Categories. When you create a product you can set to which Brand and Category the product belong to. It works perfectly when using the type as permalink to list everything within a type http://sitename.com/products but I can't seem to get the taxonomies working in the same way, ie. list all the items within a taxonomy (like an archive, I suppose): http://sitename.com/brands http://sitename.com/categories Is this possible, and if so, what could I possibly be doing wrong? I would try and set up some rewrite rules in functions.php, but I don't know what the query string looks like if you want to list items in a taxonomy, and if this is even possible. If it helps, I'm using the plugins More Types and Ultimate Taxonomy Manager to create the types and taxonomies.

  I have been searching on how to do this for a very long time, and I have not managed to get a straight answer on the subject, so hopefully one of you StackOverflow users will be able to help me here. What I wish my program to do is get the category names from the CategoryList table and list them in the ListBox control called CategoryList.   I need a data structure that Must be ordered (adding elements a, b and c to an empty structure, will make them be at positions 0, 1 and 2). Allows to add repeated items. This is, I can have a list with a, b, c, a, b. Allows removing all ocurrences of a given item (if I do something like delete(1), it will delete all ocurrences of 1 in the structure). I can't really pick what the best data structure could be in here. I thought at first about something like a List(the problem is having an O(n) operation when removing items), but maybe I'm missing something? What about trees/heaps? Hashtables/maps? I'll have to assume I'll do as much adding as removing with this data structure. Thanks

I already have the code working that handles a global Windows hotkey and then checks to see if the foreground IntPtr is from explorer. If so, I am able to obtain the System.Diagnostics.Process object that maps to explorer. At this point, I would like to obtain the list of selected items from explorer.   I have some JSON data that is rendered out via the ng-repeat directive, and the results are then filtered via some checkboxes/drop-downs, and some custom filter functions in my controller. I now want to add a function to my controller that is triggered by an 'ng-change' on some of the checkboxes, that can reference the current list of items in my 'ng-repeat'. I realise I can reference these values from a custom filter, for example $scope.filterProvider = function(item), but this function is then called for each and every item in the ng-repeat, which isn't what I want - I want the function to just be called each time a checkbox is checked/unchecked, and I need that function to be able to reference the items in my ng-repeat...does that make sense to anyone?! And if so, does anyone know how I can do that? Thanks :-)

  Hi I just installed outlook 2010, and saw this conversation feature. However my sent mails does not appear in the conversation. How do I make it appear there? PS: I'm not using exchange. Is there a way to do this without exchange? EDIT: There's something Weird happening. I'm testing this and it appears to work only sometimes. And When I Try this at the other company's computer that uses Exchange, but don't have exchange Cached mode enabled this doesn't work. And the option Show messages from other folders is not even there.

• Using Thunderbird and gmail, sent items appear as unread in "All Mail"

  I'm using a gmail account in Thunderbird. When I send a message, a new mail notification appears (sound and system try icon), an unread message appears in the gmail All Mail folder, and the account name turns blue. I have to click on "Sent Mail" or "All Mail" to get rid of the notification. Unsubscribing from "All Mail" is not effective (it still turns the account name blue). This seems to be popping up elsewhere (example), but nobody has posted a helpful answer. How do I keep Thunderbird from thinking that a sent message is new unread mail in the All Mail folder?

• After restart desktop totally black, taskbar visible, can't click items in Windows Explorer

  Situation: Windows Vista, latest updates. After restarting to complete an installation, I find myself looking at a totally black windows desktop without any icons. The start menu and taskbar, including quickstart icons, appears. Some, but not all task bar tray icons appear. The systems seems stable. When I open Windows Explorer and click "desktop" in the folder treeview, the cursor immediately jumps back to the previously selected item. No error. Same when clicking on my user's profile or my documents. When I try "save as" in, say, Notepad, nothing happens, the dialog box (which defaults to "my documents") doesn't even show. Again, no error. Nothing serious afaict in the event log. Typing something in Start Search shows "Search failed to initialize". Most programs, including Internet Explorer, Firefox etc work as expected. Anybody ever encountered such abomination?

  Currently, I am using PandoraBoy to listen to my Pandora stations. In the preferences, it allows you to set global hotkeys to control playing, like/dislike, volume, stations, etc. What I would like to do is allow the built-in media keys on my MacBook Pro's keyboard (F7-F12: Previous, Play/Pause, Next, Mute, Volume Up, Volume Down) to control PandoraBoy like they do iTunes. Right now, I am using Command-F(7-12) to control it, but that requires me to hold down the "fn" and command keys Is there a way to bind these commands to the media keys without needing to function-shift them?

  I'm a novice at spreadsheets, so I hope you'll forgive me if I'm asking a super obvious question. Is it possible to use tags in Excel/Google Spreadsheet? I'm creating a spreadsheet to log all the articles and books I'm reading. Say I'm reading "I, Claudius". I want to give it these tags: history, fiction, biography, disability, politics, drama. Then, if I want to display all the articles/books tagged with "politics", I can maybe search/display/pivot with that tag. Maybe preferably, the tags should all be in one cell with each word separated by a comma. If each word were in a cell of its own, it would make the table really messy, I think. I am open to other labelling solutions too. Thanks!

  I'm looking for a program or website that will allow me to monitor RSS feeds and send email alerts when new material is posted. Can anyone advise me. I found http://www.feedmailer.net/ -- which looks like what I need, but the alerts come only once a day. I need something that checks much more frequently -- say every 10 minutes.

• Ubuntu most menu items dark-on-dark

  Since to ubuntu 10.04 upgrade move of my drop-down menus have been dark-on-dark text, which becomes readable (changed background) when selected. I don't know what's causing this but it's a problem on Ambience and Radiance both. Any hints?
