  • Cannot log into Windows XP Embedded after changing computer name

    Hi everyone, I purchased a tablet pc running Windows XP Embedded. The tablet was used in a medical clinic on a domain. For illustrative purposes, say the computer name was "COMPLEXCOMPUTERNAME". There was an administrator account, so I changed the password on account "COMPLEXCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator" to a blank password. I logged out and logged in successfully with the blank administrator password when the log-in dialog said "Log in to COMPLEXCOMPUTERNAME (this computer)". Next I renamed the computer from COMPLEXCOMPUTERNAME to SIMPLECOMPUTERNAME, which required a reboot. I did so, and I can't log in anymore. The log in screen still just says "Log in to COMPLEXCOMPUTERNAME (this computer)", but the account "COMPLEXCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator" no longer works. I suspect that this is because the computer has been renamed to SIMPLECOMPUTERNAME and it can no longer find the account. The "Log in to" dropdown can't be typed in, so I can't change the computer name Windows is trying to log into. I fear that I'm stuck. Is there a way I can get Windows to log into the computer name that I chose? Thanks! -Mike

  • Batch renaming 32000 files - splitting into multiple subdirectories

    I've got a web server which has files uploaded to it. There is a script which assigns them numeric IDs and stores them in a corresponding subdirectory. I've now got 32000 of these uploads and that's too many for the server to handle in one directory. The script I'm using does have a way to "namespace" uploads so that ID 12345 - instead of sitting in /files/12345 - would sit in /files/namespaced/000/012/345. The code can deal with this just fine, but I now have 32000 subdirectories in the wrong naming style. What's the easiest way to go through my existing files and put them in the right place?

  • Renaming Nginx 1.3.5 Server: response header

    In nginx 1.2 & 1.3 you can modify the source to change the name: src/http/ngx_http_header_filter_module.c (lines 48 and 49): static char ngx_http_server_string[] = "Server: Not Nginx" CRLF; static char ngx_http_server_full_string[] = "Server: Not Nginx/1.0" CRLF; Renaming those and recompiling the source changes the server response name in nginx 1.2. However doing this in 1.3 does not seem to change the name. It still says nginx/1.3.5 and with server_tokens off; it just says nginx. How can I change the server name in 1.3 without installing the 3rd party addon headers more? I want to compile from source.

    Hello All, I'm trying to familiarize myself with Facebook's new Graph API and so far I can fetch and write some data pretty easily. Something I'm struggling to find decent documentation on is uploading images to an album. According to http://developers.facebook.com/docs/api#publishing you need to supply the message argument. But I'm not quite sure how to construct it.   • TFS Changeset history using QueryHistory after branch rename

    I'm using the VersionControlServer.QueryHistory method to retrieve a list of files that have changed during a timespan that ranges from 5/1/2009 to 10/1/2009. My results unexpectedly only included items that had changed after 9/1/2009. I then realized that the path that I was using, $/Project/Reports/Main, didn't exist until 9/1/2009. Before 9/1/2009, there had been another node named $/Project/Main/Reports, which was renamed to $/Project/Reports/Main. When I query from Source Control Explorer I can see the entire history (5/1/2009 - 10/1/2009) that I expect to see. However, I can't get the same results via the API. I've tried to specify the branch that no longer exists because it was renamed, but not surprisingly I get zero results. Any ideas?

  • Reformatting a table based photo gallery to a UL based gallery

    I have the following code: var table = $('.photogalleryTable').before('<ul class="photogallery"></ul>') table.find('td a').wrap('<li>').parent().appendTo('ul.photogallery'); table.remove(); This code finds a table with a list of photos and re-codes it to use a unordered list instead. The script works perfectly except for one issue. If there are 2 galleries on a page, the script will grab all of the images and reformat them into one list. Because the CMS I'm using tags each gallery table with .photogalleryTable, I'm not sure how to keep the script from touching the other galleries. What I would like to have happen is have the script re-format the first instance and then move on to the next instance, keeping the list of photos separate Is that possible?

  • Rename "Event" object in jQuery FullCalendar plug-in

    GREAT PLUGIN!!! BUT... choice of word "Event" to mean a "calendar entry" was particularly unfortunate This is a wonderfully well-written plug in, and I've really impressed people here at work with what this thing can do. The documentation is astonishingly thorough and clear. Congratulations to Adam! HOWEVER, this plug-in refers to entries in the calendar as "Events" -- this has caused a lot of confusion in my development team's conversations, because when we use the word "Event" we think of things like onmouseover, click, etc. We would really prefer a term like CalendarEvent or CalendarEntry. I am not all that experienced with jQuery yet, so am wondering if there is a simple way to alias one of those terms to this plug-in's Event/Events object? (I know we could recode the plug-in directly, but our code will then break when we download an update.) Thanks!

    I have little to no experience in writing batch files. I need to write one that copies a file to a new folder and renames it At the moment, my batch file consists of only this command: COPY ABC.PDF \\Documents As you can see, it only copies the file ABC.pdf to the network folder 'Documents'. However i need to change this so it renames the file ABCxxx.pdf, where xxx is a text variable that i would like to set somewhere in the batch file. For example, if xxx = "_Draft", then file would be renamed ABC_Draft.pdf after it is copied. Thanks

    Hi I need to send files using the BizTalk 2006 (non wcf) FTP adapter. After successful transmission of each file it needs to be renamed from an "A" prefix to a "U" prefix.   • Need advice on speeding up tableViewCell photo loading performance

    I have around 20 tableview cells that each contain a number (2-5) thumbnail sized pictures (they are VERY small Facebook profile pictures, ex. http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-sf2p/hs254.snc3/23133_201668_2989_q.jpg). Each picture is an UIImageView added to the cell's contentview. Scrolling performance is poor, and measuring the draw time I've found the UIImage rendering is the bottleneck. I've researched/thought of some solutions but as I am new to iphone development I am not sure which strategy to pursue: preload all the images and retrieve them from disk instead of URL when drawing cells (I'm not sure if cell drawing will still be slow, so I want to hold off on the time investment here) Have the cells display a placeholder image from disk, while the picture is asynchronously loaded (this seems to be the best solution, but I'm currently not sure exactly how to do best do this) There's the fast drawing recommendation from Tweetie, but I don't know that will have much affect if it turns out my overhead is in network loading (http://blog.atebits.com/2008/12/fast-scrolling-in-tweetie-with-uitableview/) Thoughts/implementation advice?     Hello I have a problem search through the photo tag that facebook user got tagged. SELECT pid FROM subject = uid uid = are the friend of the logged in user. I have received a list of tagged for particular user since I wanted to count how many he/she being tagged, I counted on my server code after retreive an XML from facebook. I can see some of my friends got tagged 60, when I looked at his/her profiles, he/she has more than 60 around 200 tagged photos. Did I miss anything in my query? I created a dummy account and upload a photo including tagging but I receive the right number of tagged photos of his.

  • Basic refactoring features (e.g., Rename) unavailable when editing code in an aspx/ascx files

    I was just editing some C# code between <% %> tags in an .ascx file, and I noticed that the Refactor contextual menu is unavailable. And even if I manually add items from this menu to a custom toolbar, they are disabled when viewing aspx/ascx files. I usually only have small snippets of C# code in my aspx/ascx files, but it would still be nice to be able to perform refactoring operations on any code that exists between <% %> tags. I feel like I'm going back to the dark ages when I have to use find/replace to change the name of a variable. Questions Is there a way to enable Visual Studio's refactoring features while viewing aspx/ascx files in Visual Studio? Are there any Visual Studio plug-ins (preferably free) that offer this kind of functionality?

  • WPD on XP, Vista, and 7 (need to transfer photo and video files)

    I need to transfer files (still photos and videos) from any portable device that a user may connect (still camera, video camera, mobile phone, etc.) I don't need to worry about plain storage devices as these have drive letters. And I only care about existing files, I don't care about live video, preview video, taking new pictures, etc. I originally tried WIA, which works great except it can not transfer video files. So then I tried WPD, following along with dimeby8's tutorial: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dimeby8/archive/2006/09/27/774259.aspx I haven't gotten the transfer working yet (I'm converting it over to C#), but I can at least see the device and enumerate the files in Win7. In XP I get nothing. It's pointed out in this thread that WPD won't enumerate devices on XP (see Lisa O [MSFT]'s post): http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/windowssdk/thread/56459945-b757-45df-8c9f-4ebdbbb18a2c So WIA is out because it won't do video. And WPD is out because it won't do XP. Has anyone gotten this to work? Am I missing something simple here? Thanks.
