  • Visual ++ print from main with inheritance on visual form in listbox

    I´ve made a "main" class lets call it A(Veichle), and i have two classes that inherits from A Lets call them B(Car) and C(MC). i also have a handler lets call it "D" that binds A,B and C. Then i have the Form1 class lets call that E(Visual) I want to print out the private members from A on the visual form "E" in a Listbox If i try ex) this-listbox1-items-add(X.veichles[i]-getBrand()); it complains that veichles is a private member in D. How can i get around that?

  • Giving event control back to xaml/callee to access check/uncheck

    Hi All, I've scoured the Internet but my search-foo must not work if it's out there cause I just can't find the proper search terms to get me the answer I am looking for. So I turn to the experts here as a last resort to point me in the right direction. What I'm trying to do is create a composite control of a text box and a list box but I want to allow the control consumer to decide what to do when say the checkbox is checked/unchecked and I just can't figure it out... Maybe i'm going about it all wrong. What I've done thus far is to: create a custom control that extends ListBox expose a custom DP named "Text" (for the Text box but it's not the important part) craft the generic.xaml so that the list items have a default ItemTemplate/DataTemplate inside the DataTemplate I'm trying to set the "Checked" or "Unchecked" events expose 'wrapper' events as DPs in the custom control that would get 'set' via the template when instatiated As soon as I try something like the following (inside generic.xaml): <DataTemplate> <...> <CheckBox Checked="{TemplateBinding MyCheckedDP}"/> <...> </DataTemplate> I get runtime exceptions, the designer - vs2010 - pukes out a LONG list of errors that are all very similar and nothing I do can make it work. I went so far as to try using the VisualTreeHelper but no magic combination I could find would work nor would it allow me to traverse the tree because when the OnApplyTemplate method fires the listbox items don't exist yet and aren't in the tree. So hopefully this all makes sense but if not please let me know and I'll edit the post for clarifications. Thanks to all for any pointers or thoughts... Like I said maybe I'm heading about it in the wrong way from the start...   • Live Folder: browser intent error

    I'm trying to make a Live Folder with URIs. The intent I set to the Live Folder items is an Intent{Intent.ACTION_VIEW, Uri.parse(url)}. I have verified url is indeed http://www.google.com (for testing purposes). But when I click the item in the live folder I get an error message: "Application is not installed on your phone." I guess I'm missing something, but I have no idea how to make the browser launch.

  • Float: left not showing up after a certain point.

    http://test.jptgraphics.com/products?cat=APPAREL This works fine in Safari but shows incorrectly in the latest version of Firefox ( was fine in 3.5) and in some versions of IE. In the middle column the product thumbnails drop down below when the 'float: left;' parameter is used. It is as if it is being escaped by a tag from that point forward no 'float: left's work and all the items are centered moving forward.

  • alternatives to accessing google reader with oauth?

    I'm really new to this oauth stuff. I want to access a user's google reader liked items feed. This blog says that oauth doesn't work (yet) with google reader. The working way seems to be to get the user's google credentials (email, password) directly, and login directly to google. This also gives me access to the rest of their services. Is there a better way, or must the user trust me with their google credentials?

    in a large listview control collection (say 5000 items), adding a SINGLE extra item can take 10+ seconds in windows vista/7, and that's just the LVM_INSERTITEM message handling it looks that it only affects LVS_ICON, LVS_REPORT and LVS_LIST are still very fast can anybody confirm this? the same code on windows XP with similar listview window styles adds an extra item instantly thanks nikos
