• SOGo installation on Mail Server

  We run a normal mail server on cPanel for web-based email. We've just got a request to add Calendar, address book, tasks functions; mobile capabilities (I'm guessing acces via a mobile client/app); public folders etc. On the client-side, we have some people using webmail, some use MS Outlook and some others use Mozilla Thunderbird. Having looked around, I zeroed in on SOGo, Citadel and kolab as options for this. I read through SOGo's official install guide and also checked here and here. However, I see most of the HowTo's ask installation of MySQL/PgSQL, LDAP, Samba etc. While I can manage installation of Samba (if required), I have no idea if installing LDAP, MySQL etc is really required. Also, any guidance as to how to install on a regular mail server would be appreciated. Sorry if this sounds vague. If any more information is required, I'll be happy to give it. Thanks in advance. Edit: This server in question has always been governed via cPanel (to install PHP, MySQL, configure DNS etc). So I am confused if really need LDAP.

• Apache2 on Raspbian: Multiviews is enabled but not working [closed]

  I recently moved webserver, from a ubuntuserver set up by my brother (I have sudo) to a rasbianserver set up by my self. On the other server multiviews worked out of the box, but on the raspbian it does not seem to work althoug it seems to be enabled out of the box there as well. What I am trying to do is to get it to find my.doma.in/mobile.php when I enter my.doma.in/mobile in the adress field. Any ideas on how to solve this through getting Multiviews to work?

• weird POST request in IIS logs

  I noticed weird log entries (unless there's something i don't understand) in my IIS (7.5) logs. it's an online dictionary with requests ( user friendly url rewriting ) and most of them are GET. However I noticed weird POST requests which are taking place by a person who is trying to crawl our content ( tens of thousands of such requests ) 2013-11-09 20:39:27 GET /dict/mylang/word1 - y.y.y.y Mozilla/5.0+(compatible;+Googlebot/2.1;++http://www.google.com/bot.html) - 200 296 2013-11-09 20:39:29 GET /dict/mylang/word2 - z.z.z.z Mozilla/5.0+(iPhone;+CPU+iPhone+OS+6_0+like+Mac+OS+X)+AppleWebKit/536.26+(KHTML,+like+Gecko)+Version/6.0+Mobile/10A5376e+Safari/8536.25+(compatible;+Googlebot-Mobile/2.1;++http://www.google.com/bot.html) - 200 468 2013-11-09 20:39:29 POST /dict/mylang/word3 - x.x.x.x - - 200 2593 The two first requests are legal. Now for the third request, I don't think I have allowed cross domain POST. if that what the third log line means. all those POST requests take that much time for unknown reasons to me. I would like to know how are those POST requests possible and how can I stop them. p.s. I have masked the IPs on purpose. any help would be appreciated! thank you in advance.

• I cannot access Windows Update at all

  I have been unable to access the Windows update site for a couple of weeks now. I just get a message saying "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" and saying I have connection problems. Same thing is replicated with any other Microsoft site I try to access. The Automatic Updates also do not work. I can access every other wesbite I've surfed to. I've tried Googling the problem and based on what other site have suggested I have cleared my cache and temp files. I've scanning my hard drive with my antivirus in case I have a virus (nada). I've tried turning off my firewall and anti-virus (I run Zone Alarm). I've downloaded SpyBot and scanned my drive with that in case something was missed by Zone Alarm (again nada). Based on suggestions from the smart cookies on the Bad Science forum, I've used nslookup to check my translation isn't wonky (got all the info they said I should get). I've also tried navigating there directly using the IP address I was given (nope). I normally access the internet through a 3 mobile broadband connection, but have also tried connecting using a mate's wi-fi connection in case it was something on my mobile modem interferring. I run Windows XP SP3 with Internet Explorer 7 and Zone Alarm Internet Security Suite as my anti-virus/ firewall. Any suggestions?

• Configuring a MySQL 5.1 Instance on Windows 7 Professional x64 Fails

  I'm trying to set up my laptops to function as mobile development environments. Installing the software on my Linux machine and getting it configured was fairly straightforward, however I'm having trouble getting MySQL 5.1 Server installed and configured on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I'm currently using the Windows MSI Installer for the complete MySQL 5.1 system (as opposed to the Essentials installer also available). I've tried to install using both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of MySQL 5.1 - the same events occur in both. I've installed both the Server Instance Configuration Wizard and Workbench and everything appears to be installed just fine. When I open the Instance Configuration Wizard, I select Detailed Configuration. On the next screen, I select Development Environment, then Multifunctional Database on the next screen. I leave the InnoDB settings unchanged. I select Manual Setting with 5 concurrent connections. I enable TCP/IP Networking on Port 3306 and Enable Strict Mode. I select the Standard Character Set. I check the boxes for Install as a Windows Service (and provide the name "MySQL") and Include the Bin Directory in Windows PATH. On the next screen, I set my root user name and password. I do not enable root access from remote machines and I also do not create an anonymous account. On the final screen of the wizard, when I click "Execute", the first two tasks (Prepare Configuration and Write Configuration File) complete. However, when it reaches Start Service, the wizard hangs and becomes unresponsive ("Not Responding" appears in the title bar and Task Manager). I would really like to be able to use both my Windows and Linux laptops as full-blown mobile development environments, but I can't do that without being able to run MySQL. Has anyone encountered this problem before? What options do I have to correct it?

  This question already has an answer here: Is my mobile AMD card being used? 2 answers OS: Windows 8 CPU: Intel® Core™ i7 Processor 3635QM GPU 1 : Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU 2 : AMD Radeon™ HD 8870M other info: System Spects Problem: im unsure that CCC is using AMD card instead of Intel's, i have encountered several issues since updating to 8.1 and i don't know what to do What happened: Installed 8.1 patch first day After 1 minute of use, BBSOD, windows never loaded again System restore wouldnt recognize 8.0 restore points i did a system reset to windows 8 since the laptop was only 3 weeks old System Broke, it did restore to factory BUT kept the registry almost intact, i had to install almost everything again, since the factory drivers where working with the updated one's registry and several problems CCC Broke too <- What i've already done Installing new drivers on top of old ones didnt work, so i used AMD uninstaller first Uninstalled and Re-installed Intel's HD Graphics Driver Tried to install mobile center, but AMD told me that it wasnt compatible (even if thats the only driver that they provide via their page as seen Here) Tried to use Auto-Detect, couldnt install driver because card was disabled because it didnt have the drivers... (see what they did here?) Had to use a workaround with Samsung Update, the driver didnt appear as download so had to use search and downloaded the driver manually. Now the graphic card appears on device manager and catalyst but as 8800 series (not exact model), and cant check the card with neither dxdiag/GPU-z/HWMonitor when right-clicking on CCC only Intel card appears launching a game and using as "high performance" would speed it up a little but i cant be sure How to verify its working properly? HWMonitor wont show AMD card even when set to high performance Latest GPU-Z wont work because a problem with Intel's, and legacy ones wont either what can I do now? I don't even know if I fixed my problem or not, and i also want to to use Adobe Premier with it, and its locked (the option to run it with the amd card not intels) Edit: now it seems to work, but cant change the setting for adobe Premiere and other programs that i Need to

• Website hosted on my virtualbox web server not displaying images or applying css when viewed through phone

  I would really appreciate it if someone could help me. Please let me know if you need more info in the comments. My Set Up I have a windows 7 pc. On it I run a virtual box VM with a ubuntu 12 guest os and LAMP setup. I share files between the two machines using samba from linux to windows and using windows file sharing (Workgroup) the other way round. The vm is set up with a bridged network adapter and can happily serve web pages to my host machine. I use DHCP reservations on my home wireless router/modem to reserve an ip for the vm and give it a sitename.dev in my windows host file so I can access it at sitename.dev through the browser. The Problem So far so good but I have a dev project which needs a lot of mobile template development, now obviously I can use a browser plugin to simulate a mobile device but I would like to be able to see the real thing easily on my phone during development. So ideally I would like a similar setup on my iphone to my windows setup Now I'm not great on networking and dont have much experience with web server set up. So when I typed the ip of my virtual box into my iphone i wasnt expecting to see anything. I was pleasantly surprised when my site loaded up. The javascript even seems to be running but the images and css are not happening. My Question 1) What is happening here, is it something to do with the bridged set up on the vm network? 2)How do I make the sites load properly through my phone Notes I've also tried another phone. The same sites viewed on live servers work fine.

• Reasons for Ajax navigation breaking on Coldfusion/Apache when running an app in iOS fullscreen mode? [closed]

  Not sure if this belongs to SO or here. I'm running a webApp using jquery, jquerymobile, requireJS and apache, coldfusion8, mysql 5.0.88 serverside. The app works fine until I try to run it in fullscreen mode on iOS (add icon to homescreen, launch app from there with <meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes" /> specified). This meta tag will break the Jquery Mobile AJAX navigation. The AJAX request will fail and the requested page will be loaded as a new page, thereby restarting the app on every page change. I have chased this through the whole front end starting from requireJS through Jquery Mobiles AJAX navigation down to the AJAX request being made in Jquery. xhr.send( ( s.hasContent && s.data ) || null ); In regular browser this works no problem. In fullscreen mode, this fails (readystate=0, empty response). I have found this article, which argues that fullscreen mode is like a browser instance with different HTTP strings. On ASP.net this results in the browser not being identified by the server and only basic browser settings being assumed (e.g. no Javascript). I'm a little lost where to start looking for possible reasons serverside. I have not written any server code for handling Ajax page navigation, so this must be something that is handled out of the box by Coldfusion or Apache? Question: Where could I start looking for problable causes of fullscreen mode breaking AJAX navigation if I assume Coldfusion or Apache are the culprits? Is there a setting I'm missing in httpd.config? What else could be the problem? Thanks for inputs!

• android webview returns blank page when load dynamic html page

  I am trying to click one button to load a page into a div block dynamically. To test it, I try to append a list item with text "abc" into the loaded page. However, I always get a blank page. load function works fine because if I try to load a static page, it works. There are a variety of tools available to help you and Support diagnose SOA Suite issues in 11g but it can be confusing as to which tool is appropriate for a particular situation and what their relationships are. This blog post will introduce the various tools and attempt to clarify what each is for and how they are related. Let's first list the tools we'll be addressing: RDA: Remote Diagnostic Agent DFW: Diagnostic Framework Selective Tracing DMS: Dynamic Monitoring Service ODL: Oracle Diagnostic Logging ADR: Automatic Diagnostics Repository ADRCI: Automatic Diagnostics Repository Command Interpreter WLDF: WebLogic Diagnostic Framework This overview is not mean to be a comprehensive guide on using all of these tools, however, extensive reference materials are included that will provide many more details on their execution. Another point to note is that all of these tools are applicable for Fusion Middleware as a whole but specific products may or may not have implemented features to leverage them. A couple of the tools have a WebLogic Scripting Tool or 'WLST' interface. WLST is a command interface for executing pre-built functions and custom scripts against a domain. In R, these are called packages. R has thousands of such packages provided by an almost equally large group of third-party contributors. To allow others to benefit from these packages, users can share packages on the CRAN system for use by the vast R development community worldwide. R's package system along with the CRAN framework provides a process for authoring, documenting and distributing packages to millions of users. In this post, we'll illustrate the various ways in which such R packages can be installed for use with R and together with Oracle R Enterprise. In this post, we cover the following package installation scenarios for: R command line Linux shell command line Use with Oracle R Enterprise Installation on Exadata or RAC Installing all packages in a CRAN Task View Troubleshooting common errors 1. R Package Installation BasicsR package installation basics are outlined in Chapter 6 of the R Installation and Administration Guide. There are two ways to install packages from the command line: from the R command line and from the shell command line. For this first example on Oracle Linux using Oracle R Distribution, we’ll install the arules package as root so that packages will be installed in the default R system-wide location where all users can access it, /usr/lib64/R/library.Within R, using the install.packages function always attempts to install the latest version of the requested package available on CRAN:R> install.packages("arules")If the arules package depends upon other packages that are not already installed locally, the R installer automatically downloads and installs those required packages. This is a huge benefit that frees users from the task of identifying and resolving those dependencies.You can also install R from the shell command line. This is useful for some packages when an internet connection is not available or for installing packages not uploaded to CRAN. To install packages this way, first locate the package on CRAN and then download the package source to your local machine. For example:$ wget http://cran.r-project.org/src/contrib/arules_1.1-2.tar.gz Then, install the package using the command R CMD INSTALL:$ R CMD INSTALL arules_1.1-2.tar.gzA major difference between installing R packages using the R package installer at the R command line and shell command line is that package dependencies must be resolved manually at the shell command line. Package dependencies are listed in the Depends section of the package’s CRAN site. If dependencies are not identified and installed prior to the package’s installation, you will see an error similar to:ERROR: dependency ‘xxx’ is not available for package ‘yyy’As a best practice and to save time, always refer to the package’s CRAN site to understand the package dependencies prior to attempting an installation. If you don’t run R as root, you won’t have permission to write packages into the default system-wide location and you will be prompted to create a personal library accessible by your userid. You can accept the personal library path chosen by R, or specify the library location by passing parameters to the install.packages function. For example, to create an R package repository in your home directory: R> install.packages("arules", lib="/home/username/Rpackages")or$ R CMD INSTALL arules_1.1-2.tar.gz --library=/home/username/RpackagesRefer to the install.packages help file in R or execute R CMD INSTALL --help at the shell command line for a full list of command line options.To set the library location and avoid having to specify this at every package install, simply create the R startup environment file .Renviron in your home area if it does not already exist, and add the following piece of code to it:R_LIBS_USER = "/home/username/Rpackages" 2. Setting the RepositoryEach time you install an R package from the R command line, you are asked which CRAN mirror, or server, R should use. To set the repository and avoid having to specify this during every package installation, create the R startup command file .Rprofile in your home directory and add the following R code to it:cat("Setting Seattle repository")r = getOption("repos") r["CRAN"] = "http://cran.fhcrc.org/"options(repos = r)rm(r) This code snippet sets the R package repository to the Seattle CRAN mirror at the start of each R session. 3. Installing R Packages for use with Oracle R EnterpriseEmbedded R execution with Oracle R Enterprise allows the use of CRAN or other third-party R packages in user-defined R functions executed on the Oracle Database server. The steps for installing and configuring packages for use with Oracle R Enterprise are the same as for open source R. The database-side R engine just needs to know where to find the R packages.The Oracle R Enterprise installation is performed by user oracle, which typically does not have write permission to the default site-wide library, /usr/lib64/R/library. On Linux and UNIX platforms, the Oracle R Enterprise Server installation provides the ORE script, which is executed from the operating system shell to install R packages and to start R. The ORE script is a wrapper for the default R script, a shell wrapper for the R executable. It can be used to start R, run batch scripts, and build or install R packages. Unlike the default R script, the ORE script installs packages to a location writable by user oracle and accessible by all ORE users - $ORACLE_HOME/R/library.To install a package on the database server so that it can be used by any R user and for use in embedded R execution, an Oracle DBA would typically download the package source from CRAN using wget. If the package depends on any packages that are not in the R distribution in use, download the sources for those packages, also.  For a single Oracle Database instance, replace the R script with ORE to install the packages in the same location as the Oracle R Enterprise packages. $ wget http://cran.r-project.org/src/contrib/arules_1.1-2.tar.gz$ ORE CMD INSTALL arules_1.1-2.tar.gzBehind the scenes, the ORE script performs the equivalent of setting R_LIBS_USER to the value of $ORACLE_HOME/R/library, and all R packages installed with the ORE script are installed to this location. For installing a package on multiple database servers, such as those in an Oracle Real Application Clusters (Oracle RAC) or a multinode Oracle Exadata Database Machine environment, use the ORE script in conjunction with the Exadata Distributed Command Line Interface (DCLI) utility.$ dcli -g nodes -l oracle ORE CMD INSTALL arules_1.1-1.tar.gz The DCLI -g flag designates a file containing a list of nodes to install on, and the -l flag specifies the user id to use when executing the commands. For more information on using DCLI with Oracle R Enterprise, see Chapter 5 in the Oracle R Enterprise Installation Guide.If you are using an Oracle R Enterprise client, install the package the same as any R package, bearing in mind that you must install the same version of the package on both the client and server machines to avoid incompatibilities. 4. CRAN Task ViewsCRAN also maintains a set of Task Views that identify packages associated with a particular task or methodology. Task Views are helpful in guiding users through the huge set of available R packages. They are actively maintained by volunteers who include detailed annotations for routines and packages. If you find one of the task views is a perfect match, you can install every package in that view using the ctv package - an R package for automating package installation. To use the ctv package to install a task view, first, install and load the ctv package.R> install.packages("ctv")R> library(ctv)Then query the names of the available task views and install the view you choose.R> available.views() R> install.views("TimeSeries") 5. Using and Managing R packages To use a package, start up R and load packages one at a time with the library command.Load the arules package in your R session. R> library(arules)Verify the version of arules installed.R> packageVersion("arules")[1] '1.1.2'Verify the version of arules installed on the database server using embedded R execution.R> ore.doEval(function() packageVersion("arules"))View the help file for the apropos function in the arules packageR> ?aproposOver time, your package repository will contain more and more packages, especially if you are using the system-wide repository where others are adding additional packages. It’s good to know the entire set of R packages accessible in your environment. To list all available packages in your local R session, use the installed.packages command:R> myLocalPackages <- row.names(installed.packages())R> myLocalPackagesTo access the list of available packages on the ORE database server from the ORE client, use the following embedded R syntax: R> myServerPackages <- ore.doEval(function() row.names(installed.packages()) R> myServerPackages 6. Troubleshooting Common ProblemsInstalling Older Versions of R packagesIf you immediately upgrade to the latest version of R, you will have no problem installing the most recent versions of R packages. However, if your version of R is older, some of the more recent package releases will not work and install.packages will generate a message such as: Warning message: In install.packages("arules") : package ‘arules’ is not availableThis is when you have to go to the Old sources link on the CRAN page for the arules package and determine which version is compatible with your version of R.Begin by determining what version of R you are using:$ R --versionOracle Distribution of R version 3.0.1 (--) -- "Good Sport" Copyright (C) The R Foundation for Statistical Computing Platform: x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu (64-bit)Given that R-3.0.1 was released May 16, 2013, any version of the arules package released after this date may work. Scanning the arules archive, we might try installing version 0.1.1-1, released in January of 2014:$ wget http://cran.r-project.org/src/contrib/Archive/arules/arules_1.1-1.tar.gz$ R CMD INSTALL arules_1.1-1.tar.gzFor use with ORE:$ ORE CMD INSTALL arules_1.1-1.tar.gzThe "package not available" error can also be thrown if the package you’re trying to install lives elsewhere, either another R package site, or it’s been removed from CRAN. A quick Google search usually leads to more information on the package’s location and status.Oracle R Enterprise is not in the R library pathOn Linux hosts, after installing the ORE server components, starting R, and attempting to load the ORE packages, you may receive the error:R> library(ORE)Error in library(ORE) : there is no package called ‘ORE’If you know the ORE packages have been installed and you receive this error, this is the result of not starting R with the ORE script. To resolve this problem, exit R and restart using the ORE script. After restarting R and ">running the command to load the ORE packages, you should not receive any errors.$ ORER> library(ORE)On Windows servers, the solution is to make the location of the ORE packages visible to R by adding them to the R library paths. To accomplish this, exit R, then add the following lines to the .Rprofile file. On Windows, the .Rprofile file is located in R\etc directory C:\Program Files\R\R-<version>\etc. Add the following lines:.libPaths("<path to $ORACLE_HOME>/R/library")The above line will tell R to include the R directory in the Oracle home as part of its search path. When you start R, the path above will be included, and future R package installations will also be saved to $ORACLE_HOME/R/library. This path should be writable by the user oracle, or the userid for the DBA tasked with installing R packages.Binary package compiled with different version of RBy default, R will install pre-compiled versions of packages if they are found. If the version of R under which the package was compiled does not match your installed version of R you will get an error message:Warning message: package ‘xxx’ was built under R version 3.0.0The solution is to download the package source and build it for your version of R.$ wget http://cran.r-project.org/src/contrib/Archive/arules/arules_1.1-1.tar.gz$ R CMD INSTALL arules_1.1-1.tar.gzFor use with ORE:$ ORE CMD INSTALL arules_1.1-1.tar.gzUnable to execute files in /tmp directoryBy default, R uses the /tmp directory to install packages. On security conscious machines, the /tmp directory is often marked as "noexec" in the /etc/fstab file. This means that no file under /tmp can ever be executed, and users who attempt to install R package will receive an error:ERROR: 'configure' exists but is not executable -- see the 'R Installation and Administration Manual’The solution is to set the TMP and TMPDIR environment variables to a location which R will use as the compilation directory. For example:$ mkdir <some path>/tmp$ export TMPDIR= <some path>/tmp$ export TMP= <some path>/tmpThis error typically appears on Linux client machines and not database servers, as Oracle Database writes to the value of the TMP environment variable for several tasks, including holding temporary files during database installation. 7. Creating your own R packageCreating your own package and submitting to CRAN is for advanced users, but it is not difficult. The procedure to follow, along with details of R's package system, is detailed in the Writing R Extensions manual.

  Hello, I am following these steps in order to build Awesome window manager on 10.04 I am building 3.4 while the tutorial is for 3.1 I installed all of the specified dependencies including cairo. • Ethernet switch capacity question

  We're looking at hooking up 48 small embedded systems with 10/100 Ethernet ports to an Ethernet switch and then have that switch talk to a server upstream via a faster connection. I have a couple of questions about that scenario: What kind of upstream connection is best (fiber, other?) Would it be reasonable to download 1GB/hour from each of the 48 systems concurrently? • Storage device not found on ESX4 with AIC-9410

  I am trying to install ESX 4.0 update 1 on a Supermicro X7DBR-3 system with an embedded AIC-9410 HBA (this HBA is listed on the HCG with Vendor ID 9005 and Device ID 041f) . All SATA controllers are disabled in the BIOS and the logical drive shows up in the Adaptec device summary during POST, however there is nothing listed on the Storage Device screen. The HBA itself is listed if I run esxcfg-info but not if I run esxcfg-scsidevs -a (under ESXi for that last command) Any ideas where I can look next or what might be wrong?

  I just got a second hand Dell Poweredge 2650 and its working fine. I can access the embedded remote access controller via the Racadm.exe tool (Under wine) but the web based version of it (Which I would prefer to use) has an SSL certificate error. I select continue I know there are risks ect and java starts up.   Running FSUtil 8Dot3Name Scan /v /s C: gives you a list of potential 8.3 paths in the registry that are referring to your file system, but is there any tool that can actually convert those paths to long paths in the registry? I do understand this could break some programs, but I have backups so I'd be willing to give it a try. (I tried to make a tool like this myself, but it's harder than it looks, because of false positives and all the varieties of ways the path could be embedded.)

  so the question is, would it be "better" to run localhost mta (ie. postfix) or "better" to use 3rd party restful api, embedded in the application, to send email? i am curious what people would do here. i find postfix on linux allows much greater flexibility and control. the default sendmail/postfix logging (/var/log/maillog) suits me fine, and you can even set limits via iptables on per uuid's which allows rate-limiting apps.

• MySQL as a simple Mac application for development

  What is the easiest way to run MySQL for development purposes on the Mac? Ideal would be a server embedded in a Mac application, that starts when you press a start button, and stops when you quit the app? I do not need a background service running, I do not want to have to be an admin user to install or run, I do not want files spread out all over the disk (everything should be in the App bundle and the Documents folder).
