  • Is there a javascript library that contains a rich set of very high level commonly used functions?

    I find that many high level functions are missing in most well-known javascript libraries such as jquery, YUI...etc. Taking string manipulation as an example, startsWith, endsWith, contains, lTrim, rTrim, trim, isNullOrEmpty...etc. These function are actually very common ones. I would like to know if there exists a javascript library/ plugin of a javascript library that fills these gaps (including but not limited to string manipulation)? It would be great if the library does not override the prototype.

    When I try to do this: [Export(typeof(IMyService))] [PartCreationPolicy(CreationPolicy.Shared)] private MyService Service { get { var service = new MyService(); service.Configure(); return service; } } I get a compile error: Attribute 'PartCreationPolicy' is not valid on this declaration type. It is only valid on 'class' declarations. Is this a bug? I don't see why MEF would allow property exports but not allow one to specify the part lifetime. Using VS2010 RC.

  • Including Android Activities (and their layouts) in JAR files.

    I'm trying to write a library that can be shared as a JAR file. This library will include an Activity and I'd like to include the layout in the JAR. Since it doesn't seem possible to include resource files in a JAR and I don't want the end-users to have to include these files themselves I was thinking it would be a nice hack to include the XML as a String then manually inflate it. Does anyone know if this is possible? Any other ideas?

    I'm just trying ILMerge to merge my application and the needed libraries into one executable. I'm using the command line just to do some testing. I took a sample project: ilmerge /out:ProgramMerged.exe Program.exe Lib1.dll Lib2.dll This seems to work as intended. But what if I had a Program.exe.config? Is it still applicable? Does anybody how to achieve this?

    All, A client is asking for Facebook Connect statistical data. Specifically, how many people have shared a link to their wall. I have a Facebook app setup but I am having trouble interpreting the statistical data. Do Facebook apps collect this data, or can anyone think of any way of gleaning this data from the past month, from server logs or something? For instance, can I look at the logs for xd_receiver.htm and see usage patterns from that, or something?

  • Trouble with codeblocks installation on Ubuntu 9.10

    I installed Code::Blocks on Ubuntu 9.10, but when I start it from terminal, it shows the following error: relocation error: /usr/lib/libcodeblocks.so.0: symbol _Z18wxSafeConvertWX2MBPKw, version WXU_2.8.2 not defined in file libwx_baseu-2.8.so.0 with link time reference What is wrong with it? It seems to me I have installed all necessary libraries. Any ideas? P.S. I am a Linux noobie - so sorry if it is some kind of a well-known mistake.

    Hi All, I have a dll made in cpp which tries to read/write some Registry Keys. This code runs perfectly fine in Windows XP (32 bit environment) but it fails in Windows 7(64 bit environment). The registry keys which this application accesses is the shared registry keys. These keys are not part of 32 bit registry cache(wow32 bit) or 64 bit registry cache.     So we finally got "areas" in our ASP.NET MVC framework! I'm able to get them up and going but one thing that bothers me is the amount of development servers it instantiates! So I currently have 6 areas, and when I run it I get 6 dev server instances running. Is this really necessary? MSDN is having me setup these areas as seperate web apps, couldn't we get these down into class libraries somehow?
