• Xwiki Create virtual wiki - problem adding a class

  Hi, I'm trying to create a virtual wiki but I already struggle with In your Class Editor, create a new class called "XWikiServerClass" Further reading in the DevGuide / DataModel shows that I'm not alone. I understand the words saying but I don't get the how-to as there is no option in the class-editior of creating new classes. Navigating to class editor shows an info box No class is defined in this wiki document. You can create one by adding properties from the panel on your right, or you can choose another class to edit from the list below. Ok, I added 'XWikiServerClass' and would have expected to be able to add a type class but that's not possible. I've tried a few properties but nothing shows up as a class in class editor.

• Subversion update misses new directories

  Hi all, Periodically we have trouble with SVN when doing updates. Very occasionally when someone adds a new directory doing an update through Tortoise doesn't work. If we do a "Fully Recursive" update using "Update from revision..." option then it picks it up fine. I'm poked around and seen this question which is virtually identical but with no answer. I've found the item on the SVN website, referenced by that post, that talks about an issue in 1.6.0 which is now fixed. However my SVN version is 1.6.9 and Tortoise is 1.6.7 so I wouldn't expect to have this problem any more. This only seems to occur with new directories, never seen it for individual files. We may have had older versions of Tortoise at one point (can't remember which tho) so maybe some issue has been introduced into our repo that an upgrade doesn't solve. We have the workaround but it wastes a few minutes of head-scratching after failed builds to figure it out and people who haven't come across this problem before really struggle until they ask someone else. Anyone know if this is a known bug and any permanent solutions? Thanks.

  Hello everyone! I'm new to C++ and i'm trying to use std::sort function to sort a vector of Solutions. The code is something like this (solution list is a *vector): void SolutionSet::sort(Comparator &comparator) { std::sort(solutionsList_->begin(), solutionsList_->end(), &comparator::compare); } The comparator param is a Comparator´s child class instance , and the compare method is virtual at Comparator class and implemented by all Comparator's child classes. And i want to use that function as a comparator function at std:sort(). Is this possible? If it is, can someone tell me how? Because with the previous code, it doesn't work. If i've not made myself clear, please just ask! Thank you guys!

• WIN32 Logon question

  We have developed a ASP.NET 3.5 web application with Web Server 2008 and has implemented a custom authentication solution using active directory as the credentials store. Our front end application uses a normal login form to capture the user name and password and leverages the Win32 LogonUser method to authenticate the user’s credentials. When we are calling the LogonUser method, we are using the LOGON32_LOGON_NETWORK as the logon type. The issue we have found is that user profile folders are being created under the C:\Users folder of the web server. The folder seems to be created when a new user who has never logged on before is logging in for the first time. As the number of new users logging into the application grows, disk space is shrinking due to the large number of new user folders getting created. I need to get the token back after the authentication (authenticated \ password locked \ wrong password ) its futher use and based on logic showing different web pages Has anyone seen this behavior with the Win32 LogonUser method? Please answer the following issue: Is it possible to disable this behavior to create the folder as taking 2.78 MB of space for every new user and it eating my disck space? I have tried LOGON32_LOGON_BATCH but it was giving an error 1385 in authentication user. For any solution related to LOGON32_LOGON_BATCH, can you please confirm if that will stop creating the folders at location C:\users. Also for any possible solution I need either I am able to disable the folder to be created at C:\user or Any other option to authenticated user which will not creat folders.

• Need complete picture of virtual adress space

  Hello, This image gives a good picture about Virtual Adress space. But it only says half of the story. It only gives complete picture of User Adress space ie.. lower 50% (or 75% in some cases). What about the rest 50% (or 25%) which is occupied by the kernel. I know kernel also has so many different things like kernel modules , device drivers, core kernel itself. There must be some kind of layout right? What is its layout? If you say its Operating System dependent. I would say, there are two major operating systems Windows & Linux. Please give answer for any one these.

• Virtual String Tree - Display subnode when parent node is hidden

  Is there a way to show subnode if the parent node is hidden in the Virtual String Tree ? I have some tasks in the tree structure and I wish to display only tasks which belongs to the current user as the list, but from all levels. What I've done is the function to display a list, which hides tree buttons, tree lines, sets the fixed indent and enable toShowHiddenNodes option. Then in this function I iterate through the whole tree (all levels) and hide nodes which doesn't belong to the current user IsVisible[Node] := False and show those which belongs him IsVisible[Node] := True, but the subnodes which should be displayed are invisible when their parent is hidden. • How would I sort files to directories based on filenames?

  I have a huge number of files to sort all named in some terrible convention. Here are some examples: (4)_mr__mcloughlin____.txt 12__sir_john_farr____.txt (b)mr__chope____.txt dame_elaine_kellett-bowman____.txt dr__blackburn______.txt These names are supposed to be a different person (speaker) each. Someone in another IT department produced these from a ton of XML files using some script but the naming is unfathomably stupid as you can see. I need to sort literally tens of thousands of these files with multiple files of text for each person; each with something stupid making the filename different, be it more underscores or some random number. They need to be sorted by speaker. This would be easier with a script to do most of the work then I could just go back and merge folders that should be under the same name or whatever. There are a number of ways I was thinking about doing this. parse the names from each file and sort them into folders for each unique name. get a list of all the unique names from the filenames, then look through this simplified list of unique names for similar ones and ask me whether they are the same, and once it has determined this it will sort them all accordingly. I plan on using Perl, but I can try a new language if it's worth it. I'm not sure how to go about reading in each filename in a directory one at a time into a string for parsing into an actual name. I'm not completely sure how to parse with regex in perl either, but that might be googleable. For the sorting, I was just gonna use the shell command: `cp filename.txt /example/destination/filename.txt` but just cause that's all I know so it's easiest. I dont even have a pseudocode idea of what im going to do either so if someone knows the best sequence of actions, im all ears. I guess I am looking for a lot of help, I am open to any suggestions. • Trouble using files Globally

  Recently I ran into trouble when I discovered that vista restricts what can be installed into the system32 directory even though I am the administrator for this computer. It will not allow me to register dll files so I can use programs like wget globally like how programs "nslookup" etc are used. Keeps giving me this error. Regsvr32: The module "C:\Windows\System32\libeay32.dll" failed to load. make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files. The specified module could not be found. Moving the required DLL files to system32 prompts me to confirm administrator privileges are needed to move these files, So I give the permission, copy the files to system32, and run wget to confirm. This is where it tells me it cannot find the DLL's required to run and when using regsvr32 it says it cannot find the entry point so it will not load the DLL asking me if it is a valid DLL or OCX file. If I leave the DLL's that came with wget in the same folder as wget outsite of system32 they work vice adding them to system32 with the exe it will not work saying it cannot read the those dll files. Is there a way around this or Do I need to Upgrade to Windows 7 to get away from these problems/restrictions?

  I created an EC2 instance (Ubuntu 64 bit) and attached a volume from a publicly available snapshot to the instance. I successfully mounted the volume. I am supposed to be able to run a script from this attached volume using the following steps as explained in the tutorial: Log in to your virtual machine. mkdir /space mount /dev/sdf1 /space cd /space ./setup-script The problem is that, when I try: ./setup-script I got the following message: -bash: ./setup-script: No such file or directory What is the problem ? How can I search for the ./setup-script in the whole machine ? I'm not very familiar with linux system. Please, help. • Daemon program that uses select() inside infinite loop uses significantly more CPU when ported from

  I have a daemon app written in C and is currently running with no known issues on a Solaris 10 machine. I am in the process of porting it over to Linux. I have had to make minimal changes. During testing it passes all test cases. There are no issues with its functionality. However, when I view its CPU usage when 'idle' on my Solaris machine it is using around .03% CPU. On the Virtual Machine running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.8 that same process uses all available CPU (usually somewhere in the 90%+ range). My first thought was that something must be wrong with the event loop. The event loop is an infinite loop ( while(1) ) with a call to select(). The timeval is setup so that timeval.tv_sec = 0 and timeval.tv_usec = 1000. This seems reasonable enough for what the process is doing. As a test I bumped the timeval.tv_sec to 1. Even after doing that I saw the same issue. Is there something I am missing about how select works on Linux vs. Unix? Or does it work differently with and OS running on a Virtual Machine? Or maybe there is something else I am missing entirely? One more thing I am sure sure which version of vmware server is being used. It was just updated about a month ago though. Thanks.

  I'm looking for hadoop examples, something more complex than the wordcount example. What I want to do It's read the files in a directory in hadoop and get a zip, so I have thought to collect al the files in the map class and create the zip file in the reduce class. Can anyone give me a link to a tutorial or example than can help me to built it? I don't want anyone to do this for me, i'm asking for a link with better examples than the wordaccount. Interface A is shared by multiple objects. But the implementation of A is dependent on the template argument. Interface B is the seen by the outside world, and needs to be abstrakt. The reason I would like this is that it would allow me to define object C like this: Define the interface C inheriting from abstrakt A. Define the implementation of C using a different datatype for template A. I hope I'm clear. Is there any way to do this, or do I need to rethink my design?

• Postfix: How to configure Postfix with virtual Dovecot mailboxes?

  I have configured a Postfix mail server for two domains: domain1.com and domain2.com. In my configuration domain1 has both virtual users with Maildirs and aliases to forward mail to local users (eg. root, webmaster) and some small mailing lists. It also has some virtual mappings to non-local domains. Domain2 on the other hand has only virtual alias mappings, mainly to corresponding 'users' at domain1 (eg. mails to [email protected] should be forwarded to [email protected]). My problem is that currently Postfix accepts mail even for those users that don't exist in the system. Mail to existing users and /etc/aliases works fine. Postfix documentation states that the same domain should never be specified in both mydestination and virtual_mailbox_maps, but If I specify mydestination as blank then postfix validates recipients against virtual_mailbox_maps but rejects mail for local aliases of domain1.com. /etc/postfix/main.cf: myhostname = domain1.com mydomain = domain1.com mydestinations = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain, localhost virtual_mailbox_domains = domain1.com virtual_mailbox_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/vmailbox virtual_mailbox_base = /home/vmail/domains virtual_alias_domains = domain2.com virtual_alias_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtual alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases virtual_transport = dovecot /etc/postfix/virtual: domain1.com right-hand-content-does-not-matter firstname.lastname user1 [more aliases..] domain2.com right-hand-content-does-not-matter @domain2.com @domain1.com /etc/postfix/vmailbox: [email protected] user1/Maildir [email protected] user2/Maildir /etc/aliases: root: :include:/etc/postfix/aliases/root webmaster: :include:/etc/postfix/aliases/webmaster [etc..] Is this approach correct or is there some other way to configure Postfix with Dovecot (virtual) Maildirs and Postfix aliases?

• get local groups and not the primary groups for a domain user

• Asp.net MVC and MOSS 2010 integration

  Just a sidenote: I'm not sure whether I should post this to serverfault as well, because some MOSS admin may have some info for me as well? A bit of explanation first (without Asp.net MVC) Is it possible to integrate the two? Is it possible to write an application that would share at least credential information with MOSS? I have to write a MOSS application that has to do with these technologies: MOSS 2010 Personal client certificates authentication (most probably on USB keys) Active Directory Federation Services Separate SQL DB that would serve application specific data (separate as not being part of MOSS DB) How should it work? Users should authenticate using personal certificates into MOSS 2010 There would be a certain part of MOSS that would be related to my custom application This application should only authorize certain users via AD FS - I guess these users should have a certain security claim attached to them This application should manage users (that have access to this app) with additional (app specific) security claims related to this application (as additional application level authorization rights for individual application parts) This application should use custom SQL 2008 DB heavily with its own data This application should have the possibility to integrate with external systems as well (Exchange for instance to inject calendar entries, ERP systems etc) This application should be able to export its data (from its DB) to files. I don't know if it's possible, but it would be nice if the app could add these files to MOSS and attach authorization info to them so only users with sufficient rights would be able to view/open these files. Why Asp.net MVC then? I'm very well versed in Asp.net MVC (also with the latest version) and I haven't done anything on Sharepoint since version 2003 (which doesn't do me no good or prepare me for the latest version in any way shape or form). This project will most probably be a death march project so I would rather write my application as a UI rich Asp.net MVC application and somehow integrate it into MOSS. But not only via a link, because I would like to at least share credentials, so users wouldn't need to re-login when accessing my app. Using Asp.net MVC I would at least have the possibility to finish on time or be less death marching. Is this at all possible? Questions Is it possible to integrate Asp.net MVC into MOSS as described above? If integration is not possible, would it be possible to create a completely MOSS based application that would work as described? Which parts of MOSS 2010 should I use to accomplish what I need?

Here's the context: I'm stuck with VB.NET 2005 and .NET Framework 2.0; The application must use the Windows authenticated user to manage AD; The objects I have to handle are Groups, Users and OrganizationalUnits; I intend to use the Façade design pattern to provider ease of use and a fully reusable code; I plan to write a factory for each of the objects managed (group, ou, user); The use of Attributes should be useful here, I guess; As everything is about the DirectoryEntry class when accessing the AD, it seems a good candidate for generic types. Obligatory features: User creates new OUs manually; User creates new group manually; User creates new user (these users are services accounts) manually; Application reads an XML file which contains the OUs, groups and users to create; Application informs the user about the OUs, groups and users that shall be created; User specifies the domain environment where to migrate the XML input file designated objects; User makes changes if needed, and launches the task operations; Application performs required by the XML input file operations against the underlying AD as specified by the user; Application informs the user upon completion. Linear features: User fetches OUs, groups, users; User changes OUs, groups, users; User deletes OUs, groups, users; The application logs AD entries and operations performed, plus errors and exceptions; Nice-to-have features: Application rollbacks operations on error or exception. I've been working for weeks now to get acquainted with the AD and the System.DirectoryServices assembly. But I don't seem to find a way to be fully satisfied with what I'm doing and always looking for better. I have studied Bret de Smet's Linq to AD on CodePlex, but then again, I can't use it as I'm stuck with .NET 2.0, so no Linq! But I've learned about Attributes, and seen that he's working with generic types as he codes a DirectorySource class to perform the operations for OUs, groups and users. Any suggestions? I've been working for weeks now to get acquainted with the AD and the System.DirectoryServices assembly. But I don't seem to find a way to be fully satisfied with what I'm doing and always looking for better. I have studied Bret de Smet's Linq to AD on CodePlex, but then again, I can't use it as I'm stuck with .NET 2.0, so no Linq! But I've learned about Attributes, and seen that he's working with generic types as he codes a DirectorySource class to perform the operations for OUs, groups and users. I have been able to add groups to the AD; I have been able to add users to the AD; The created user is automatically disabled? I seem to get confused with the use of a LDAP path to add objects. For instance, one needs two instances of a System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry class to add a group, for instance. Why this? Any suggestions? Thanks for any help, code sample, ideas, architural solution, everything!

• Win32Exception: The directory name is invalid

• XAMPP Redirecting to XAMPP directory on Internal Network

  I installed XAMPP on my desktop. I set up vhosts for about 5 sites and they are all working properly from the desktop itself. The problem arises whenever I try to access these vhosts from my laptop. I changed the hosts file on the laptop to redirect the laptop dev.domain.com requests to the desktop, however, when I try to access these sites from my laptop on the local network, I only receive the XAMPP welcome screen. It seems like when trying to access the vhosts on the desktop from the laptop the vhosts file is ignored as all requests are redirected to the xampp directory. What might I need to adjust to ensure access to the vhosts on the desktop from the laptop?

  I am trying to compile a program I took off a cd from a book that uses directx to render 3d objects. when i press compile I get the following error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'dxerr9.h': No such file or directory I am using VC++ 2008 Express Edition and i am running off of Vista. I went to the following folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0A\Include and I was not able to find the header there. Unless I am looking in the wrong place. When I initially installed DX sdk I allowed the installer to put everything in a default location. I am not sure If I am looking in the right places or what.

• CHMOD To Prevent Deletion Of File Directory

  I have some hosting on a Linux server and I have a few folders that I don't ever want to delete. There are sub folders within these that I do want to delete. How do I set the CHMOD permissions on the folders I don't want to delete? Of course, when I say "I don't ever want to delete" - what I mean is that the end customer shouldn't delete them by accident, via FTP or in a PHP script etc. As an example of directory structure... MainFolder/SubFolder MainFolder/Another I don't want "MainFolder" to be accidentally deleted, but I'm happy for "SubFolder" and "Another" to be removed!

• How to override ant task stored in ant lib directory

  At my work we use AspectJ in some of our Java projects. To get this to work with ant builds we have been placing aspectjtools.jar within ant/lib/. I am now working on a particular Java project and need to use a newer version of aspectJ. I don't want to have to get everyone who uses the project to update their local copy of aspectjtools.jar. Instead, I tried adding the newer aspectjtools.jar to the lib directory of the project and adding the following line to build.xml. <taskdef resource="org/aspectj/tools/ant/taskdefs/aspectjTaskdefs.properties" classpath="./lib/aspectjtools.jar" /> However, this doesn't work as I hoped as the ANT classloader loads jars from ant/lib/ in preference to the jar I specify in the taskdef classpath. Is there any way to force ant to pick the jar checked into my project instead?

• TortoiseSVN: how to set up projects on a existing directory structure of source code

  I have an old pet project I want to revive (haven't had enough time for it last year - small kid - you know) - so restored old copy of my dev folder from archive, but since I have rebuilt my machine since when - I can't remember what needs to be done now. I installed the latest version of TortoiseSVN, and the existing directory structure from my old dev machine looks like: ProjectName *SubProject1 **branches ***1.1 ***1.2 **tags **trunk *SubProject2 **branches **1.0.3 **1.0.4 **1.0.5 **tags **trunk I tried "import project" but it ask for a url - don't know what to specify there ... can someone post a url to a good TortSVN tutorial - so I could set up my projects quickly (I guess I need to setup SubProject1 and SubProject2) - then I install AnkhSVN for VS2008 and will spend this Sunday coding like crazy while I still have some time ;-)
