  • Vmware Server Console stops responding to clicks

    I had installed vmware-server-console just fine. But when yoou open it an as soon as you click in a virtual machine, thats it, the app stop working but not freeze, it just stops recognizing where you click, everywhere you click it puts the cursor inside the VM, you cant switch VMs, cant do rigth clic on the left menu, theres not even the toolbar. I try login in with a classic ubuntu session, but this behavior persist. Is there a way to fix this.

  • Ubuntu 12.04 partial freeze

    While working on the system suddenly if i open a random file or start browsing and on other random moments the system starts hanging or start responding slowly. In this situation, i can able to open the virtual console using the Ctrl + Alt + F1-F6 and type the top and list the processes. Due to urgency, i will kill the long running processes or the over memory utilizing process to recover the screen back. Can anyone give me a permanent fix.!

    What technologies are in demand nowaydas for web-development for web-startups? For frontend its all clear: HTML5, JS, AJAX, JQuery. But what about backend? What languages (and frameworks) should I consider using? I am not asking "which language is best", I just need a list of modern languages and frameworks (and not Pascal, Delphi or Basic) which are demanded and well-payed. UPD: I totally decline the "it's all about logic, not about language. language is just a tool" concept.     Before installing Win 8 today, my plan was to keep the Metro UI up on my smaller, laptop monitor and have the classic UI running on my two larger monitors. However, in reality, as soon as I click on something in one of the classic UI monitors, the Metro UI minimizes (thus exposing the classic UI in its place). Is there any way to keep the Metro UI from minimizing when I do something in another monitor? Oddly enough, if there is an app running/suspended in the Metro Window, then the Metro UI is not minimized. If the Start screen is currently viewed, clicking in a classic window/monitor switches the Metro UI from the start screen to the last run app. Very peculiar..

    I recently came up with a problem which I would like to share some thoughts about with someone on this forum. This relates to finding a subset. In reality it is more complicated, but I tried to present it here using some simpler concepts. To make things easier, I created this conceptual DB model: Let's assume this is a DB for storing recipes. Recipe can have many instructions steps and many ingredients. Ingredients are stored in a cupboard and we know how much of each ingredient we have. Now, when we create a recipe, we have to define how much of each ingredient we need. When we want to use a recipe, we would just check if required amount is less than available amount for each product and then decide if we can cook a dinner - if amount required for at least one ingredient is less than available amount - recipe cannot be cooked. Simple sql query to get the result. This is straightforward, but I'm wondering, how should I work when the problem is stated the other way round, i.e. how to find recipies which can be cooked only from ingredients that are available? I hope my explanation is clear, but if you need any more clarification, please ask.

    I exported a virtual machine from my work station, and I am trying to renew the ip-address at home. I put one copy on my laptop and one copy on my PC. I've done this sudo rm /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules and changed the MAC address, but they keep coming back as 192.168.1.165. I need them to be different because I need to run two of these exports at the same time, so I cannot afford to have the same IP. What can I do? Thanks.

Then, I saved the project, copied the project folder into a pendrive, tried to 'Open Project' in mate's laptop, using the same Java Netbeans IDE version. When I tried to open the frames, they displayed empty labels, without images. What went wrong?

    Sorry for the stupid question but I am new with Linux (I am using Gnome classic with Ubuntu 12.04) and I cannot set compiz in order to obtain the rotating cube. I have already installed compizconfig-setting-manager and also the extra (and fusion) plugins but: even if I disable the desktop wall and enable cube and rotating cube, nothing happens; even if I change into general settings the number of vertical and horizontal virtual size nothing happens. I would like to move all those projects to a single virtual host (with a single IP address). My question is, how google handles links within different domain names but same ip address. Is there some penalization for it? Could this lead to lower page rank?
