    All, We have an Excel spreadsheet that uses ADOMD to query OLAP cubes and present the data in Excel. We are using version 2.8 at the moment of the ADOMD API. As far as I know there is an ADOMD.NET API for querying OLAP cubes. Can this new .NET version used from inside Excel ? Many Thanks, MK

    I am developing a facebook App for a Drupal powered Website. Broadly, I can divide the tasks in following two categories: 1) Views from the website For this part, I just use the SQL query and execute it in my facebook App. 2) Create Cotent Initially, I tried this by taking the values in a form and then inserting those values into the drupal database myself. But the problem was that there are so many modules using that content. So, is there any other way to submit the contents from the facebook application to Drupal website? I tried using the Drupal for Facebook module, but didn't like its lack of flexibility and a lot of bugs.

  • colorbox not displaying first caption from flickr gallery integration

    I am pulling small thumbnails into my page from the flickr API, and using Colorbox to display larger thumbnails and captions from the title attribute. Using the API with C#. However, on the first instance of opening colorbox it does not display the caption from the anchors title attribute. If you click next or previous then it appears. The actual caption is physically there in the source code, just not getting put into the colorbox window. Demo here, if you click on a thumbnail you will see there is no caption, click next then prev and it will appear.   • assistance with classifying tests

    I have a .net c# library that I have created that I am currently creating some unit tests for. I am at present writing unit tests for a cache provider class that I have created. Being new to writing unit tests I have 2 questions These being: My cache provider class is the abstraction layer to my distributed cache - AppFabric. So to test aspects of my cache provider class such as adding to appfabric cache, removing from cache etc involves communicating with appfabric. Therefore the tests to test for such, are they still categorised as unit tests or integration tests? The above methods I am testing due to interacting with appfabric, I would like to time such methods. If they take longer than a specified benchmark, the tests have failed. Again I ask the question, can this performance benchmark test be classifed as a unit test? The way I have my tests set up I want to include all unit tests together, integration tests together etc, therefore I ask these questions that I would appreciate input on.

    I am trying to integrate my asp.net 4.0(non MVC) website with facebook. I want to retrive the authenticated user info. The samples listed in facebooksdk is based on MVC. i tried to implement it in my website, but getting errors. i am struck. If anyone implemented the facebook connect logic and retrieved the user information using facebook-c#-sdk, please help me how to do this. I tried the same using facebooktoolkit, and i am able to retrive the user info. but the toolkit is having issues with .net 4.0. Greatly appreciated your help.

    Hi there, I'm building a contact us page that also uses a reCaptcha, but im having a few issues with it. I fill in all of the fields in the contact form and the correct reCaptcha words, but the form does not submit. I'm assuming this is something to do with the validation, but wondered if someone might be able to spot where i'm going wrong?     I was told that the assembly files made from C# and F# source is interoperable as they are compiled into .NET assembly. Q1 : Does that mean that C# can call F# functions just like they are C# functions? Q2 : How about the IronPython and IronRuby? I don't see any assembly dll from the IronPython/IronRuby. Q3 : Is there any easy way to use IronPython/IronRuby functions from C# or F#?

    Ive been trying to learn asp.net from reading "beginning asp.net 4 with c#" and been finding it hard to get a solid grasp on the code involved. I plan to go to tafe sometime next year to get my diploma but want to start myself. instead of learning asp.net as a whole and all the languages involved such as c#, html css and javascript etc etc. I'm starting to think a solid understanding of at lest one of these might be beneficial I have "Beginning C# Object-Oriented Programming - Clark - Apress, is it worth learning about the languages before I go head first into a ide?.

I find the Like button to be more of a broadcasting mechanism.     I use TinyMCE in a DetailView in in EDIT MODE. I would like to know if there is a solution which can prevent Request Validation to trigger an error WITHOUT USING <%@ Page validateRequest="false" %> for my page. The only way I found out at the moment is to encode TextBox used by TinyMCE using option: "xml" tinyMCE.init({ encoding: "xml", In this way Request Validation does not trigger error but at the time to read the data in the TextBox the result it is Encoded. I also tried to Decode on PageLoad the content of the TextBox using this code myTextBox.Text = HttpUtility.HtmlDecode(myTextBox.Text) But the result is not as expected, so I can visualize it just Encoded text. Any Ideas? Thanks UPDATE I found a solution to my problem. I added in _DataBound event for the DetailsView this code TextBox myContentAuthor = (TextBox)uxAuthorListDetailsView.FindControl("uxContentAuthorInput"); myContentAuthor.Text = HttpUtility.HtmlDecode(myContentAuthor.Text); So on DataBound event, (should work even on post back) the content will be decodene for textbox tinymce. Here how should work: 01 - TinyMCE ESCAPE data inserted in textbox using function encoding: "xml", 02 - Data has been stored as ESCAPED 03 - To read the data and add its content to a TextBox where apply TinyMCE use in DATABOUND EVENT for DetailView and HttpUtility.HtmlDecode (so it will look decoded) 04 - You can modify content in the textbox in edit mode. On post back TinyMCE will encoded again using encoding: "xml" an so on Hope guys can help some one else. But please give me your comment on this solution thanks! Mybe you come up with more elegant solution! :-)

    I want to draw a custom TabControl with custom functionality. To do this, i inherited the Panel class and overrided OnPaint method to draw with TabRenderer class. The problem is that TabRenderer working only when visual styles enabled (can be checked with TabRenderer.IsSupported), but what should i do if visual styles disabled? In this case, I thought using the ControlPaint class to draw tabs without visual styles, but it has no draw method related to Tabs. I want it basically to behave visually like the regular TabControl.

  • How can i create sprite sheet from 3d model (3D studio max)

    I built simple 3D model of a car, with simple animation in which it's wheels are turning. Now i want to create a sprite sheet, the only way i know how to do it, is to render manually 20 frames from the from, then combine them to a strip manually, then rotate it by 10 degrees, render 20 frames of animation again and combine them to a strip... Is there a way to do it automatically ? With out rotating the scene manually and render it and combining .. it's a lot of work, takes more time then the modelling itself... Thanks
