    Hey, I'm trying to write a SAX parser for an XHTML document that I download from the web. At first I was having a problem with the doctype declaration (I found out from here that it was because W3C have intentionally blocked access to the DTD), but I fixed that with: XMLReader reader = parser.getXMLReader(); reader.setFeature("http://apache.org/xml/features/disallow-doctype-decl",true); However, now I'm experiencing a second problem.   • Retrieving image from database using Ajax

    I'm trying to read image from database with Ajax, but I could not read the xmlhttp.responseText to the img src. The image is saved as binary data in database and also retrieved as binary data. I'm using Ajax in JSP, because I want to give the user the ability to upload images and I will view the last uploaded image, on mouse over action the Ajax will be activated and get the image back, the problem is in reading the img from the response.     I am maintaining a web application that depends on OSGi and Maven pulls-in a jar called org.osgi-foundation-1.0.0.jar that seems to contain the same classes as part of the JDK core runtime such as: java.util.*; java.io.*; etc. and so on. This seems very strange and I have to ask why this is necessary. More-over, my web-application fails to deploy on JBoss 6 because these are "illegal package names" for a third-party library. What is the purpose of org.osgi-foundation-1.0.0.jar ? is it necessary?

First of all, is the XML correct? Is the path expressed correctly? Second of all, why is this error occurring on one computer but not on another?

Background load is low prio (SCHED_IDLEPRIO, idle ionice), but uses a lot of memory (more than is physically available) and does a lot of IO and calculations. Latencytop shows about 1500ms for: Following symlink Writing buffer to disk (sync) Page fault Writing a page to disk both for the bg load and for unrelated processes. Load average is 10 and counting. Why cannot it allocate, for example, 200MHZ of one of the cores and 32M of memory and not less than once per second opportunity for IO for mplayer to make it happy while continuing calculations on the background? Or: why it cannot leave background task and swap loving each other but keeping the rest of the system as if there were no background load? How to have RT processes AND heavy bg load simultaneously (without of virtual machines)?

However, it cannot use an outside application (like andExplorer). It must stay contained inside my application. I saw one a while ago that's hosted on google code and used by the Gameboid, SNESoid and other similar emulators to pick roms. If any one can point me to that one that'd be just as great. Thanks!

I want to see what it's reading and writing in the file, so I want to convert it's binary read and write to non-binary read and write. Also, when I convert the binary write to non-binary write, I want it to still be able to read in the information correctly. How can this be done?   • Installing PHP extensions in Debian

    I'm trying to install the PECL extension pecl_http so that I can use PHP's http_negotiate_language() function. I'm running PHP5 on Apache2 and Debian Lenny. I installed the php_http package from the debian repo, however, I still can't use that function in my php scripts! The package also doesn't show up under phpinfo(). I tried installing it from PECL, but I could not. Is there some procedure for enabling these extensions in PHP? Kind of like a2enmod for apache? Note: This is a repost from http://forum.slicehost.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=4650 I also tried adding extension=pecl_http.so to my apache2/php.ini with no effect. Any guesses?

I find that blogs can be quite helpful in getting into the mindset of a particular activity, so I was wondering if anyone knew some good ones. I'm particularly looking for education blogs i.e. ones that actually explain how to do things instead of just making commentary on them. If the blog is specific to LAMP, or any one (or more) of those things (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) then that's a bonus. Thanks in advance.

    Hi, I'm writing a MIDlet which needs to write file. I'm using FileConnection from JSR-75 to accomplish this. The intention is to have this MIDlet runnning on as much devices as possible (all MIDP 2.0 devices with JSR-75 support, ideally). On several emulators and an HTC Touch Pro2, I can perfectly use the following code to get the root of the filesystem: Enumeration drives = FileSystemRegistry.listRoots(); String root = (String) drives.nextElement(); String path = "file:///" + root; However, on a Nokia S60 5th edition emulator, trying to open a FileConnection to this path throws a java.lang.SecurityException. Apparently S60 devices do not allow connections to the root of the filesystem. I realise I can use something like System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.photos"), but that isn't supported on all devices either. So, my actual question: what is the best approach to get a path to create a FileConnection with, that allows for maximum portability? Thanks. Edit: I suppose I could iterate over all the roots in the Enumeration, and check for a writable one, but that's hardly optimal for two reasons. First, there aren't necessarily any writable roots. Second, this could be the phone memory or a memory card, so the storage method wouldn't be consistent across devices, which is rather ugly.

    Hi, I'm using the subprocess module to start a subprocess and connect to it's output stream (stdout). I want to be able to execute non-blocking reads on its stdout. Is there a way to make .readline non-bloking or to check if there is data on the stream before I invoke .readline? I'd like this to be portable or at least work under Windows and Linux. here is how I do it for now (It's blocking on the .readline if no data is avaible): p = subprocess.Popen('myprogram.exe', stdout = subprocess.PIPE) str = p.stdout.readline() Thanks for your help.

  • problem with XAMPP, access forbidden... looking for d:\xampp not c:\xampp

    I have been using xampp for a while now without any problem. All of a sudden I start xampp today and I am getting an "Error 403 Access Forbidden" when I try to go to my Localhost. When I check the error logs for apache it says: [Mon Mar 22 21:48:57 2010] [error] [client 127.0.0.1] client denied by server configuration: D:/xaamp This is strange, it should first of all say "C:" and second of all say "Xampp" (not xaamp). Where would I change this is my config files. Have no idea how this could have happened.

  • How to do proper Unicode and ANSI output redirection on cmd.exe?

    If you are doing automation on windows and you are redirecting the output of different commands (internal cmd.exe or external, you'll discover that your log files contains combined Unicode and ANSI output (meaning that they are invalid and will not load well in viewers/editors). Is it is possible to make cmd.exe work with UTF-8? This question is not about display, s about stdin/stdout/stderr redirection and Unicode. I am looking for a solution that would allow you to: redirect the output of the internal commands to a file using UTF-8 redirect output of external commands supporting Unicode to the files but encoded as UTF-8. If it is impossible to obtain this kind of consistence using batch files, is there another way of solving this problem, like using python scripting for this? In this case, I would like to know if it is possible to do the Unicode detection alone (user using the scripting should not remember if the called tools will output Unicode or not, it will just expect to convert the output to UTF-8. For simplicity we'll assume that if the tool output is not-Unicode it will be considered as UTF-8 (no codepage conversion).

    Has anyone gotten UIFileSharingEnabled or CFBundleDocumentTypes to work? I added UIFileSharingEnabled as true to my plist and used Apple's example from the link below for CFBundleDocumentTypes, but can't seem to get it to work.
