• How can I set the line style of a specific cell in a QTableView?

  I am working with a QT GUI. I am implementing a simple hex edit control using a QTableView. My initial idea is to use a table with seventeen columns. Each row of the table will have 16 hex bytes and then an ASCII representation of that data in the seventeenth column. Ideally, I would like to edit/set the style of the seventeenth column to have no lines on the top and bottom of each cell to give the text a free flowing appearance. What is the best way to approach this using the QTableView?

• Proper way to format date from database using javascript/jquery

  Hi all, I am calling my database which contains a datetime datatype. The date looks like this: 2005-05-23 16:06:00.000 I would like to display this in a table when a user selects a certain item from a list. I call my controller action and return Json of all the times and put them in a table. The problem is the date is completely wrong. What is displayed is this: /Date(1255470180000)/ The date that is returned isn't even parsable (which I don't want to do anyway) so I can't even get the data if I wanted to. Any ideas?

So I'm guessing that when .NET performs the matching with the regEx it doesn't match. My question: Why does this regular expression match on the client side but not on the server side?

• Unescape _xHHHH_ XML escape sequences using Python

  I'm using Python 2.x [not negotiable] to read XML documents [created by others] that allow the content of many elements to contain characters that are not valid XML characters by escaping them using the _xHHHH_ convention e.g. ASCII BEL aka U+0007 is represented by the 7-character sequence u"_x0007_". Neither the functionality that allows representation of any old character in the document nor the manner of escaping is negotiable. I'm parsing the documents using cElementTree or lxml [semi-negotiable]. • emacs indentation in asm mode

  I am looking for the equivalent of c-indent-level and ruby-indent-level, for asm-mode. That is, I want to force the indentation to 4 spaces, and I want them to be replaced with blanks. What I've seen tells me it does not exist for asm-mode. Could someone please tell me this is wrong? I tried this also: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/69934/set-4-space-indent-in-emacs-in-text-mode , to no av. I have tried: (setq tab-width 4) (setq indent-line-function 'insert-tab) (setq asm-indent-level 4) This works however: (custom-set-variables '(tab-stop-list (quote (4 8 12 16 20 24 28 32 36 40 44 48 52 56 60 64 68 72 76 80 84 88 92 96 100 104 108 112 116 120)))) But I wonder if there is a way to define that for asm-mode only. What if I wanted to keep the default tab behaviour for other modes?

  A gtk.Label can't be aligned in center when line-wrap is turned on. Is there a good way to have just one variable being constant, deriving the other from it, but not resulting in an unreachable code warning? Note that I need both values, on start of the camera it needs to be configured to the proper Pixel Format, and my image understanding code needs to know how many bits the image is in. So, is there a good workaround, or do I just live with this warning?

  REPHRASED QUESTION: I am coming up with a list of possible image bit depth values that could be used as a predefined reference list in my application. I could think of 8,16,24 and 32 bit depths. The image formats considered are BMP, JPEG, PNG and GIF. I understand the bit depth decides the quality and thereby the storage requirements for the image. The application is used to store user uploaded images(non-medical, non-DICOM). Are there more bit depths other than the ones mentioned above that i should be including in my list? • Cross platform unicode path handling

  I'm using boost::filesystem for cross-platform path manipulation, but this breaks down when calls need to be made down into interfaces I don't control that won't accept UTF-8. For example when using the Windows API, I need to convert to UTF-16, and then call the wide-string version of whatever function I was about to call, and then convert any output back to UTF-8. While the wpath, and other w* forms of many of the boost::filesystem functions help keep sanity, are there any suggestions for how best to handle this conversion to wide-string forms where needed, while maintaining consistency in my own code?

  I'm trying to resize an ext4 filesystem on a Fedora 11 box. Using fsdisk and lvm, I was able to grow the partition and logical volume containing the filesystem. When I try to run resize2fs on the device containing the filesystem (/dev/sda2 in this case), I get: "Device or resource busy while trying to open /dev/sda2, Couldn't find valid filesystem superblock" I've tried this from a rescue disk that doesn't have the filesystem mounted, no joy. Maybe resize2fs doesn't know about ext4?

• Efficient way to create/unpack large bitfields in C?

  I have one microcontroller sampling from a lot of ADC's, and sending the measurements over a radio at a very low bitrate, and bandwidth is becoming an issue. Right now, each ADC only give us 10 bits of data, and its being stored in a 16-bit integer. Is there an easy way to pack them in a deterministic way so that the first measurement is at bit 0, second at bit 10, third at bit 20, etc? To make matters worse, the microcontroller is little endian, and I have no control over the endianness of the computer on the other side.

Maybe it does this directly (ideal!), or perhaps it provides a hook for the conversion (such as taking a custom stream object that does the conversion before parsing). Offers some XPath support. I've been looking at RapidXML, the Kranf xmlParser, and pugiXML. The first two of those might permit requirement #1 by way of a hook. The third, pugiXML, supports the #2 requirement. But none of those three fulfill both requirements. What is the smallest (free) library that can handle both requirements?

Now I want to implement a multiply method which multiplies Matrix A with Matrix B and stores the result in Matrix C. Some OpenGL implementations (Like the OpenGL ES stuff in Android) provide native code for this but others doesn't. So I want to provide a generic multiplication method for these implementations.

• Linux servers going into Halt when pressing Control-D in putty or exit in the shell

  Since today at noon, there's a number of Linux CentOS servers which are going to Halt whenever i type exit or use Control-D to close the putty window. Did anyone encounter this weird behavior before? I've checked the aliases list on the servers and there is no alias regarding halt command. After the server came online i've checked the history and saw a "logout" command there but nothing which is related to Halt. At first, i thought it happens only from my computer but later i realized that it happens to everyone which types exit, logout or control+d. 2 of these server are our main iptables firewalls and so it's super critical, your assistance is much appreciated.   Hey, I would like to create a SDP media field with its attributes, and there are a few things I don't understand. I've skimmed and read the relevant RFC and I understand most of what each field means, but what I don't understand is how do I derive from the Audio/Video Format of the JMF, which parameters of the format compose the rtpmap registry entries I need to use. I see many times the fields m=audio 12548 RTP/AVP 0 8 101 a=rtpmap:0 PCMU/8000 a=rtpmap:8 PCMA/8000 a=rtpmap:101 telephone-event/8000 a=fmtp:101 0-16 a=silenceSupp:off - - - - a=ptime:20 a=sendrecv these are received from the pbx server I'm connecting to, what do they mean in the terms of the JMF audio format properties.   Hi All, I have been trying to call a C function that has the following signature int changeFoo(L_TCHAR* pszFileSrc){....} in my JNI call my method looks like this: JNIEXPORT jint JNICALL Java_com_me_L_AFoo (JNIEnv * env, jclass jclass, jstring pSrc) { jint retValue = -100; retValue = changeFoo(pSrc); return retValue; } I get the following error in visual studio. Error 1 error C2664: 'L_FileConvert' : cannot convert parameter 1 from 'jstring' to 'L_TCHAR *' c:\Ayusman\Work\MyVCpp\LTExampleDll\LTExampleDll\LTExampleMain.cpp 46 LTExampleDll When I looked at the definition of L_TCHAR * here is what I got in the header files (in that sequence): typedef TCHAR L_TCHAR; typedef WCHAR TCHAR,*PTCHAR; typedef wchar_t WCHAR; //wc, 16 bit UNICODE char I work on java, this is a JNI application that I am trying to build.
