• Splitting lists inside list haskell

  Hi I need to split list by an argument in Haskell. I found function like this group :: Int -> [a] -> [[a]] group _ [] = [] group n l | n > 0 = (take n l) : (group n (drop n l)) | otherwise = error "Negative n" But what if lists that I want to divide are contained by another list? For example group 3 [[1,2,3,4,5,6],[2,4,6,8,10,12]] should return [[[1,2,3],[4,5,6]],[[2,4,6],[8,10,12]]] Is there any way to do that ?

• Asp.net regularexpressionvalidator fires even when CausesValidation="false"

  I have a regularexpression validator which validates a valid email. I have two buttons on my form. Submit and undo. On undo, we are reverting the page state to default submit has it validationgroup set while undo doesnot have any validationgroup and CausesValidation="false". Now when i navigate to page and enter invalid emailaddress,i directly click undo. the validator fires and stops my page from posting.however if i press tab and navigate to other control and then click undo,the validator shows error message but posts back and furthur proessing is done. This is very strange and i want the page to postback without any error message when i click undo.how to achieve it.

  Please, help me to explain the following behavior: dynamic d = 1; ISet<dynamic> s = new HashSet<dynamic>(); s.Contains(d); The code compiles with no errors/warnings, but at the last line I get the following exception: Unhandled Exception: Microsoft.CSharp.RuntimeBinder.RuntimeBinderException: 'System.Collections.Generic.ISet<object>' does not contain a definition for 'Contains' at CallSite.Target(Closure , CallSite , ISet`1 , Object ) at System.Dynamic.UpdateDelegates.UpdateAndExecuteVoid2[T0,T1](CallSite site, T0 arg0, T1 arg1) at FormulaToSimulation.Program.Main(String[] args) in As far as I can tell, this is related to dynamic overload resolution, but the strange things are (1) If the type of s is HashSet<dynamic>, no exception occurs. (2) If I use a non-generic interface with a method accepting a dynamic argument, no exception occurs. Thus, it looks like this problem is related particularly with generic interfaces, but I could not find out what exactly causes the problem. Is it a bug in the compiler/typesystem, or legitimate behavior?

  Hello. Let's say there is a sentence: On March 1, he was born. Changing it to He was born on March 1. doesn't break the sense of the sentence and it is still valid. Shuffling words in any other way would produce weird to invalid sentences. So basically, I'm talking about parts of the sentence, which make the information more specific, but removing them doesn't break the whole sentence. Is there any NLP library in which identifying such parts is available?

• Oracle database connection string PLSQL compatibility

  Hi I'm using an application called Logi info. it requires a connection string to my oracle database. the connection works fine but in order to configure the connection to recive ref cursors from the database, I apparently need to add PLSQLRSet=1 to the end of the string. when I do that I recieve an error "invalid connection string" Here is my connection string without plsqlrset=1 Data Source=SID; User Id=username; Password=password; My concern is that PLSQLRSet=1 might be .NET paramater only. Can anyone shed some light on the issue. Thanks

  Hi All, I want to use Validation Controls but I dont want them to show their Error Messages when invalid data exist. You can ask why are you using validation control if you dont want to show them My asnwer is "I use them for validation logic they handle" I looked the properties of the validation controls and cant find something that wil help me doing this. • Iterator for second to last element in a list

  I currently have the following for loop: for(list<string>::iterator jt=it->begin(); jt!=it->end()-1; jt++) I have a list of strings which is in a larger list (list<list<string> >). I want to loop through the contents of the innerlist until I get to the 2nd to last element. This is because I have already processed the contents of the final element, and have no reason to process them again. However, using it->end()-1 is invalid -- I cannot use the - operator here. While I could use the -- operator, this would decrement this final iterator on each cycle. I believe a STL list is a doubly linked list, so from my perspective, it should be possible to do this.   Ok so this might be a dumb question, but I can't seem to figure it out. I thought I'd try out LINQ against a DataTable. I got my query working and now I'm trying to implement some simple paging. Error 1 'System.Data.OrderedEnumerableRowCollection' does not contain a definition for 'Skip' and no extension method 'Skip' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Data.OrderedEnumerableRowCollection' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) References I have: Microsoft.SharePoint System System.Core System.Data System.Data.DataSetExtensions System.Web System.Xml What am I missing?

• Problem deriving a user control from an abstract base class in website project

  In a Visual Studio website, I have created a user control. This control is derived from a class (in App_Code) that is itself derived from System.Web.UI.UserControl. This is an abstract class with an abstract method. I then try to implement that method in the user control, but I get the following errors from Visual Studio: Error 1 'WebUserControl.AbstractMethod()': no suitable method found to override C:\Users\User\Documents\Visual Studio 2010\WebSites\Delme\WebUserControl.ascx.cs 10 28 C:\...\Delme\ Error 2 'WebUserControl' does not implement inherited abstract member 'AbstractBaseClass.AbstractMethod()' c:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\Temporary ASP.NET Files\delme\0eebaa86\f1a48678\App_Web_nrsbzxex.0.cs 14 Error 1 says that my override of the abstract method is invalid, it doesn't recognise the abstract method in the base class. Error 2 says that the partial class automatically built by asp.net doesn't implement the abstract method! Note that this works fine when the code is used in a Web Application project. Why is this happening?

  On success, ShellExecute returns a handle. Do we need to close this handle, and if so, how ? According to examples published my Microsoft, we need not close this handle. But the doc of ShellExecute itself is mute on the subject. Can you confirm we indeed do not need to close this handle ? But then, how can a handle be valid and in no need of being closed ??? Which of the following statements is/are true: the handle is invalid and we can't do anything with it; the handle is never freed and there is a (Microsoft-sponsored) memory leak (until the caller program ends); the handle is automatically freed by the system at some time and never reused afterwards (- another kind of resource leak). Only on trying to use it can we know whether it still points to something. what else ?

  I am having trouble using EnumSet on the client side. I get this runtime error message: java.util.EnumSet.EnumSetImpl is not default instantiable (it must have a zero-argument constructor or no constructors at all) and has no custom serializer. Is this is a known issue? While compiling the website Compilation errors are occuring i.e Licenses.licx file is not compiling, if it compile than it will reproduces an AppLicenses.dll. In the licensing.licx file containing one class and a namespace(i.e. OSADirectLicensing.OSADirectLicensedClass, OSADirectLicensing). The compilation error is as follows: Error 1 C:\Program Files\Sharp\Sharp Developer Tools\OSA SDK\Samples\DirectOSA\ExternalAuthority\licenses.licx: Could not transform licenses file into a binary resource. • Does any faster centralized version control than SVN exists?

  Hello, I've been using SVN since a long time and now we're trying on Git. I'm not talking on the centralized / decentralized debate here. My only concern is speed. The latter tool is much faster. But sometimes, I NEED to work with a centralized approach, which is much more simple and less complex than the decentralized one. The learning curve is really fast, which saves a lot of time (while digging into decentralized would lead to a waste of time, given the learning curve is much longer and we encounter more problem when working with it). However, SVN is really slow compared to GIT, and I don't think it has anything to do with the centralized argument. Decentralized systems also have to deal with server connections and file transfert. So I can easilly imagine a faster implementation of centralized version control could exists. Does someone has any clue on this?

  I am trying to compile a library originally written for Cocoa. Things are good until it looks for the function marg_setValue(). It says there is a syntax error before char in marg_setValue(argumentList,argumentOffset,char,(char)lua_toboolean(state,luaArgument)); (it's talking about the third argument, not (char) ) I am trying to port LuaObjectiveCBridge to the iPhone. It has two choices, either using Runtime or Foundation. I have discovered there are some problems with foundation so I am trying runtime. But the compiler is not co-operating.

• JSTL XML Transforms not working with nested XSL includes

  I have a bit of JSP that does this: <c:import url="/xsl/Transformer.xsl" var="xslt" /> <x:transform doc="${actionBean.dom}" xslt="${xslt}" xsltSystemId="/xsl/"> This transforms the XML exactly as expected so long as Transformer.xsl contains no <xsl:include> tags or so long as any documents it does include do not include anything. However, if I use an XSL which includes a document which in turn includes another document, I get the following error: ERROR: 'Invalid URI 'NestedInclude.xsl Could not resolve entity reference: "NestedInclude.xsl"'.' Note that the JSP is contained in the directory below the xsl documents. If all my XSLs and JSPs are in the same directory (and I remove the xsltSystemId attribute) then everything would work fine, but I don't really want to do this. Can anyone see anything I'm doing wrong, as it's a bit of a killer at the moment and the JSTL documentation is next to useless.

I'm currently using Directory.GetAccessControl(path); However it fails when it get to this 263 char file path. Invalid name. Parameter name: name I get the same error when I use DirectoryInfo.GetAccessControl(); Is there a work around or alternative to this method? Thanks!

Luckily, the cube creator create a member property named "Month Number Of Year" When I try to run the query, I get the following...
