  • SQL using sum to count results of multiple subqueries

    - by asdas
    I have a table with 2 columns: integer and var char. I am given only the integer values but need to do work on the var char (string) values. Given an integer, and a list of other integers (no overlap), I want to find the string for that single integer. Then I want to take that string and do the INSTR command with that string, and all the other strings for all the other integers. Then I want the sum of all the INSTR so the result is one number. So lets say I have int x, and list y=[y0, y1, y2]. I want to do 3 INSTR commands like SUM(INSTR(string for x, string for y0), INSTR(string for x, string for y1), INSTR(string for x, string for y2)) I think im going in the wrong direction, this is what I have. Im not good with sub queries. SELECT SUM ( SELECT INSTR ( SELECT string FROM pages WHERE int=? LIMIT 1, ( SELECT string FROM pages WHERE id=? OR id=? OR id=? LIMIT 3 ) ) )

  • Multiple SessionFactories in Windows Service with NHibernate

    - by Rob Taylor
    Hi all, I have a Webapp which connects to 2 DBs (one core, the other is a logging DB). I must now create a Windows service which will use the same business logic/Data access DLLs. However when I try to reference 2 session factories in the Service App and call the factory.GetCurrentSession() method, I get the error message "No session bound to current context". Does anyone have a suggestion about how this can be done? public class StaticSessionManager { public static readonly ISessionFactory SessionFactory; public static readonly ISessionFactory LoggingSessionFactory; static StaticSessionManager() { string fileName = System.Configuration.ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings["DefaultNHihbernateConfigFile"]; string executingPath = System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName(System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().GetName().CodeBase); fileName = executingPath + "\\" + fileName; SessionFactory = cfg.Configure(fileName).BuildSessionFactory(); cfg = new Configuration(); fileName = System.Configuration.ConfigurationSettings.AppSettings["LoggingNHihbernateConfigFile"]; fileName = executingPath + "\\" + fileName; LoggingSessionFactory = cfg.Configure(fileName).BuildSessionFactory(); } } The configuration file has the setting: <property name="current_session_context_class">call</property> The service sets up the factories: private ISession _session = null; private ISession _loggingSession = null; private ISessionFactory _sessionFactory = StaticSessionManager.SessionFactory; private ISessionFactory _loggingSessionFactory = StaticSessionManager.LoggingSessionFactory; ... _sessionFactory = StaticSessionManager.SessionFactory; _loggingSessionFactory = StaticSessionManager.LoggingSessionFactory; _session = _sessionFactory.OpenSession(); NHibernate.Context.CurrentSessionContext.Bind(_session); _loggingSession = _loggingSessionFactory.OpenSession(); NHibernate.Context.CurrentSessionContext.Bind(_loggingSession); So finally, I try to call the correct factory by: ISession session = StaticSessionManager.SessionFactory.GetCurrentSession(); Can anyone suggest a better way to handle this? Thanks in advance! Rob

  • How to run setInterval() on multiple canvases simultaneously?

    - by Alex
    I have a page which has several <canvas> elements. I am passing the canvas ID and an array of data to a function which then grabs the canvas info and passes the data onto a draw() function which in turn processes the given data and draws the results onto the canvas. So far, so good. Example data arrays; $(function() { setup($("#canvas-1"), [[110,110,100], [180,180,50], [220,280,80]]); setup($("#canvas-2"), [[110,110,100], [180,180,50], [220,280,80]]); }); setup function; function setup(canvas, data) { ctx = canvas[0].getContext('2d'); var i = data.length; var dimensions = { w : canvas.innerWidth(), h : canvas.innerHeight() }; draw(dimensions, data, i); } This works perfectly. draw() runs and each canvas is populated. However - I need to animate the canvas. As soon as I replace line 8 of the above example; draw(dimensions, data, i); with setInterval( function() { draw(dimensions, data, i); }, 33 ); It stops working and only draws the last canvas (with the others remaining blank). I'm new to both javascript and canvas so sorry if this is an obvious one, still feeling my way around. Guidance in the right direction much appreciated! Thanks.

  • Extending mysqli and using multiple classes

    - by Mikk
    Hi, I'm new to PHP oop stuff. I'm trying to create class database and call other classes from it. Am I doing it the right way? class database: class database extends mysqli { private $classes = array(); public function __construct() { parent::__construct('localhost', 'root', 'password', 'database'); if (mysqli_connect_error()) { $this->error(mysqli_connect_errno(), mysqli_connect_error()); } } public function __call($class, $args) { if (!isset($this->classes[$class])) { $class = 'db_'.$class; $this->classes[$class] = new $class(); } return $this->classes[$class]; } private function error($eNo, $eMsg) { die ('MySQL error: ('.$eNo.': '.$eMsg); } } class db_users: class db_users extends database { public function test() { echo 'foo'; } } and how I'm using it $db = new database(); $db->users()->test(); Is it the right way or should it be done another way? Thank you.

  • Multiple labels in Navigation bar

    - by cmos
    I would like to create a view similar to the "Now Playing" page on the iPhone and have 3 lines of text in the Navigation bar. The only way I could find to do this was: UINavigationBar *bar = [self.navigationController navigationBar]; label = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(60, 2, 200, 14)]; label.tag = SONG_TAG; label.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; label.font = [UIFont boldSystemFontOfSize:14]; label.adjustsFontSizeToFitWidth = NO; label.textAlignment = UITextAlignmentCenter; label.textColor = [UIColor whiteColor]; label.highlightedTextColor = [UIColor blackColor]; [bar addSubview:label]; [label release]; //Create album label label = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(60, 17, 200, 12)]; label.tag = ALBUM_TAG; label.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; label.font = [UIFont systemFontOfSize:12]; label.adjustsFontSizeToFitWidth = NO; label.textAlignment = UITextAlignmentCenter; label.highlightedTextColor = [UIColor blackColor]; label.textColor = HEXCOLOR(0xA5A5A5ff); [bar addSubview:label]; [label release]; //Create artist label label = [[UILabel alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(60, 30, 200, 12)]; label.tag = ARTIST_TAG; label.backgroundColor = [UIColor clearColor]; label.font = [UIFont systemFontOfSize:12]; label.adjustsFontSizeToFitWidth = NO; label.textAlignment = UITextAlignmentCenter; label.highlightedTextColor = [UIColor blackColor]; label.textColor = HEXCOLOR(0xA5A5A5ff); [bar addSubview:label]; [label release]; The problem with this is I have to remove them when the view changes. So, in -viewWillDisappear I have: UILabel *label; label = (UILabel *)[self.navigationController.navigationBar viewWithTag:SONG_TAG]; [label removeFromSuperview]; label = (UILabel *)[self.navigationController.navigationBar viewWithTag:ALBUM_TAG]; [label removeFromSuperview]; label = (UILabel *)[self.navigationController.navigationBar viewWithTag:ARTIST_TAG]; [label removeFromSuperview]; I think the way to do this is make a custom view that has the 3 labels in it, and add this to the title view. (here's the catch - you can only add 1 label or view to the title view spot on the nav bar) self.navigationItem.titleView = newViewIMadeWithThreeLabels

  • Authenticating to multiple OUs in Active Directory

    - by Jaxidian
    I'm using the Active Directory Membership Provider with the following configuration: <connectionStrings> <add name="MyConnString" connectionString="LDAP://domaincontroller/OU=Product Users,DC=my,DC=domain,DC=com" /> </connectionStrings> <membership defaultProvider="MyProvider"> <providers> <clear /> <add name="MyProvider" connectionStringName="MyConnString" connectionUsername="my.domain.com\service_account" connectionPassword="biguglypassword" type="System.Web.Security.ActiveDirectoryMembershipProvider, System.Web, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a" /> </providers> </membership> This works perfectly except it requires ALL of my users to be in the "Product Users" OU when I would actually like to have all of my users organized into various child OUs under our "Product Users" OU. Is this possible? (Note that this is a partial repost of this question but the question I'm asking here was never answered there.)

  • asp.net mvc custom routes with multiple submit buttons

    - by dangerisgo
    So I have a custom route as such: routes.MapRoute( "Wizard", // Route name "Wizard/{page}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Wizard", action = "Index" } // Parameter defaults ); and have the following on my View: <% Html.BeginForm("Continue", "Wizard"); %> <input type="submit" value="Continue" name="Continue" /> <% Html.EndForm(); %> In which I want to call this function: [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post)] public ActionResult Continue(string Number, string Rev) { (...) } but in turn when that button is pressed always calls the postback Index rather than the one I want. If I remove the custom route, it calls my function, but what I want to be displayed in the address bar is: localhost:xxxx/Wizard/1 where the number at the end is the page (div shown) of the wizard either 1, 2, 3, or 4. So is there something I'm missing or can it not be done? Thanks.

  • XPATH: multiple negations in for-each

    - by Peter
    I have the following simplified XML: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <MATMAS05> <IDOC BEGIN="1"> <E1MARAM SEGMENT="1"> <MSGFN>005</MSGFN> <MATNR>000000000000401436</MATNR> <E1MARCM SEGMENT="1"> <MSGFN>005</MSGFN> <WERKS>A120</WERKS> <MMSTA>01</MMSTA> </E1MARCM> <E1MVKEM SEGMENT="1"> <VKORG>0120</VKORG> <VMSTA>04</VMSTA> </E1MVKEM> </E1MARAM> </IDOC> </MATMAS05> If <WERKS>=A120 and <MMSTA> is NOT '01' or '02' or '03' OR if <VKORG>=0120 and <VMSTA> is NOT '01' or '02' or '03' then the <MATNR> should be mapped to the target XML. I came up with the following XSLT: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0"> <xsl:output encoding="UTF-8" method="xml" indent="yes"/> <xsl:template match="/*"> <xsl:for-each select="IDOC[(E1MARAM/E1MVKEM[VKORG='0120'][not(VMSTA='01' or VMSTA='02' or VMSTA='03')]) or (E1MARAM/E1MARCM[WERKS = 'A120'][not(MMSTA='01' or MMSTA='02' or MMSTA='03')])]"> <Item> <ITEM_CODE> <xsl:value-of select="E1MARAM/MATNR"/> </ITEM_CODE> </Item> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> But if I apply that XSLT I get the following unwanted output (because <MMSTA>='01'): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Item> <ITEM_CODE>000000000000401436</ITEM_CODE> </Item> How can I solve this? I have tried around with that XPATH expression but I can't get the wanted result. What am I doing wrong in my XPATH? Thank you for any ideas with this. Best regards, Peter

  • Xcode preferences across multiple computers?

    - by Martytoof
    I run Xcode on both my laptop and desktop. I'm constantly tweaking my setup with regards to key bindings. Rather than try to get both configurations identical by hand, is there any way to create the configuration on one computer and then share it via dropbox (for example) for the other to use? Perhaps by symlinking the laptop's configuration file to one stored on dropbox? Very curious how others handle this situation.

  • Avoid duplicate custom post type posts in multiple loops in Wordpress

    - by christinaaa
    I am running two loops with a custom post type of Portfolio (ID of 3). The first loop is for Featured and the second is for the rest. I plan on having more than 3 Featured posts in random order. I would like to have the Featured ones that aren't displaying in the first loop to show up in my second loop. How can I set this up so there are no duplicate posts? <?php /* Template Name: Portfolio */ get_header(); ?> <div class="section-bg"> <div class="portfolio"> <div class="featured-title"> <h1>featured</h1> </div> <!-- end #featured-title --> <div class="featured-gallery"> <?php $args = array( 'post_type' => 'portfolio', 'posts_per_page' => 3, 'cat' => 3, 'orderby' => 'rand' ); $loop = new WP_Query( $args ); while ( $loop->have_posts() ) : $loop->the_post(); ?> <div class="featured peek"> <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"> <h1> <?php $thetitle = $post->post_title; $getlength = strlen($thetitle); $thelength = 40; echo substr($thetitle, 0, $thelength); if ($getlength > $thelength) echo '...'; ?> </h1> <div class="contact-divider"></div> <p><?php the_tags('',' / '); ?></p> <?php the_post_thumbnail('thumbnail', array('class' => 'cover')); ?> </a> </div> <!-- end .featured --> <?php endwhile; ?> </div> <!-- end .featured-gallery --> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> <!-- end .portfolio --> </div> <!-- end #section-bg --> <div class="clearfix"></div> <div class="section-bg"> <div class="portfolio-gallery"> <?php $args = array( 'post_type' => 'portfolio', 'orderby' => 'rand'); $loop = new WP_Query( $args ); while ( $loop->have_posts() ) : $loop->the_post(); ?> <div class="featured peek"> <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"> <h1> <?php $thetitle = $post->post_title; $getlength = strlen($thetitle); $thelength = 40; echo substr($thetitle, 0, $thelength); if ($getlength > $thelength) echo '...'; ?> </h1> <div class="contact-divider"></div> <p><?php the_tags('',' / '); ?></p> <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php the_post_thumbnail('thumbnail', array('class' => 'cover')); ?></a> </a> </div> <!-- end .featured --> <?php endwhile; ?> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> <!-- end .portfolio-gallery --> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> <!-- end #section-bg --> <?php get_footer(); ?> If possible, could the answer outline how to implement it into my existing code?   • load-views when running multiple noir servers

    - by Roth Michaels
    I'm experimenting with using noir to start three servers (each to handle a different aspect of the application). I am trying to do this so that I can run all three servers within one application while developing and easily decouple the project into three different applications for deployment. It is no problem to use noir.server/start and noir.server/stop to run the jetty servers I need. What I'm trying to figure out is some way to call load-views (or something like that) with a different set views for each server so that URI conflicts are handled by the correct defpage.

  • R - removing rows and replacing values using conditions from multiple columns

    - by lecodesportif
    I want to filter out all values of var3 < 5 while keeping at least one occurrence of each value of var1. > foo <- data.frame(var1= c(1, 1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5), var2=c(9, 5, 13, 9, 12, 11, 13, 9), var3=c(6, 8, 3, 6, 4, 7, 2, 9)) > foo var1 var2 var3 1 1 9 6 2 1 5 8 3 2 13 3 4 3 9 6 5 3 12 4 6 4 11 7 7 4 13 2 8 5 9 9 subset(foo, (foo$var3>=5)) would remove row 3, 5 and 7 and I would have lost var1==2. I want to remove the row if there is another value of var1 that fulfills the condition foo$var3 = 5. See row 5. I want to keep the row, assiging NA to var2 and var3 if all occurrences of a value var1 do not fulfill the condition foo$var3 = 5. This is the result I expect: var1 var2 var3 1 1 9 6 2 1 5 8 3 2 NA NA 4 3 9 6 6 4 11 7 8 5 9 9 This is the closest I got: > foo$var3[ foo$var3 < 5 ] = NA > foo$var2[ is.na(foo$var3) ] = NA > foo var1 var2 var3 1 1 9 6 2 1 5 8 3 2 NA NA 4 3 9 6 5 3 NA NA 6 4 11 7 7 4 NA NA 8 5 9 9 So I guess I just need to know how to conditionally remove the row.

  • Acts as Tree with Multiple Models

    - by Joe
    I've got several models that I'd like to relate together hierarchically. For simplicity's sake, let's say I've got these three: class Group < ActiveRecord::Base acts_as_tree has_many :users end class User < ActiveRecord::Base acts_as_tree belongs_to :group has_many :posts end class Post < ActiveRecord::Base acts_as_tree belongs_to :user end Under the current acts_as_tree, each node can individually can relate hierarchically to other nodes provided they are of the same type. What I'd like is to remove this restriction on type identity, so that SomePost.parent could have a User or a Post as its' parent, and that SomeUser.parent could have another user or a group as its parent. Any thoughts?

  • How can I add multiple pre-commit SVN Hooks

In the future though, additional scripts may be written in Perl, PHP, or some other language as well. How can I run several different scripts as part of a single pre-commit hook?

  • Deploying Multiple Environments in Spring-MVC

    - by jboyd
    Currently all web apps are deployed using seperate config files: <!-- <import bean.... production/> --> <import bean... development/> This has disadvantages, even if you only need to swap out one config file, that I'm sure everyone is familiar with (wondering what just deployed without searching through XML is one of them) I want to add Logging to my application that basically says 'RUNNING IN PRODUCTION MODE', with a description of the services deployed and what mode they are working in. RUNNING IN PRODUCTION MODE Client Service - Production Messaging Service - Local and so on... Is this possible in Spring using a conventional deployment (putting a war on a server)? What other things do people do to manage deployments and software configurations? If not, what other ways could you achieve something similar?

  • Single Large v/s Multiple Small MySQL tables for storing Options

    - by Prasad
    Hi there, I'm aware of several question on this forum relating to this. But I'm not talking about splitting tables for the same entity (like user for example) Suppose I have a huge options table that stores list options like Gender, Marital Status, and many more domain specific groups with same structure. I plan to capture in a OPTIONS table. Another simple option is to have the field set as ENUM, but there are disadvantages of that as well. http://www.brandonsavage.net/why-you-should-replace-enum-with-something-else/ OPTIONS Table: option_id <will be referred instead of the name> name value group Query: select .. from options where group = '15' - Since this table is expected to be multi-tenant, the no of rows could grow drastically. - I believe splitting the tables instead of finding by the group would be easier to write & faster to execute. - or perhaps partitioning by the group or tenant? Pl suggest. Thanks

  • xerces-c: Xml parsing multiple files

    - by user459811
    I'm atempting to learn xerces-c and was following this tutorial online. http://www.yolinux.com/TUTORIALS/XML-Xerces-C.html I was able to get the tutorial to compile and run through a memory checker (valgrind) with no problems however when I made alterations to the program slightly, the memory checker returned some potential leak bytes. I only added a few extra lines to main to allow the program to read two files instead of one. int main() { string configFile="sample.xml"; // stat file. Get ambigious segfault otherwise. • Filter entire NSDictionaries out of NSArray based on multiple keys

    - by user270475
    Hi, I have an NSArray of NSDictionary objects which I would like to be able to return a new array of NSDictionaries from, where every NSDictionary has "Area == North" (for example). The closest example I have found so far is http://stackoverflow.com/questions/958622/using-nspredicate-to-filter-an-nsarray-based-on-nsdictionary-keys but this just returns the unique values for a given key, not the dictionary that has that key. Is there any way to perform a similar operation, and to return the entire dictionary?

  • Git Status Across Multiple Repositories on a Mac

    - by eapen
    I have been searching for a solution to this for a while and have not found quite what I need. I have several Git Repositories in a folder on my Mac (OSX 10.6) and would like a script or tool that will loop through all the repositories and let me know if any of them needs "commit"-ing. This is my structure Sites   /project1   /project2   /project3 I want the tool to do a "git status" in Sites/project1, Sites/project2, Sites/project3 and let me know if Sites/project2 and Sites/project3 have changes or new files and needs to be Staged/committed The closest script I found that might be hackable is here: http://gist.github.com/371828 but even that script wouldn't run and I get an error: "syntax error near unexpected token `do" which might have been written for *nix.
