Is there any possible to develop the Iphone App using Eclipse IDE in Windows? Please note Windows platform has any possibility to the Iphone Development? Any Idea?
I noticed an interesting bug with the JQTouch platform and wanted to know if anyone else has run into it our has a workaround for it. If I have a link with an onclick event and lightly tap the link on the iPhone, the link works, but the click event is not fired. If I tap the same link harder, the event fires.
Any thoughts on this?
I'm curious how far others have pushed Boost.Asio in terms of scalability. I am writing an application that may use close to 1000 socket objects, a handful of acceptor objects, and many thousand timer objects. I've configured it such that there's a thread pool invoking io_service::run and use strands in the appropriate places to ensure my handlers do not stomp on each other.
My platform is Red Hat Enterprise Linux with Boost 1.39, though I'm not opposed to upgrading to a more recent version of boost.
I heard this term recently. What are subscription applications(for a mobile platform). Does this term fall under standard usage? Are there any examples of such a mobile application?
Thanks.
Is there a regex flavor that allows me to count the number of repetitions matched by the * and + operators? I'd specifically like to know if it's possible under the .NET Platform.
My question is: can i have 2 repositories without losing my original repository.
Lets say i want the the eclair source repository
repo init -u
git://android.git.kernel.org/platform/manifest.git
-b eclair
(already synced and working)
and i would also like to sync with cyanogens repository
repo init -u
git://github.com/cyanogen/android.git
-b eclair
All i basically want to do is have both repositories without altering or messing up the original.
thanks.
I want a portable C++ IDE for general development, and too to develop basic Windows GUI applications.
In my research, I've found this (with latest version date):
CodeLite IDE (2010-04-02)
Code::Blocks (2008-02-28)
Bloodshed Dev-C++ (2005-02-22)
NetBeans (2009-12-10)
Ultimate++ (2010-03-16)
Qt Creator (2010-02-01)
But I don't know if some these IDE's supports Windows GUI development (or Cross Platform GUI development) or if can be Portable (NetBeans can be portable).
Hi,
I am using C language and Linux as my programming platform.
I am learning how to create a daemon, and I want to create a log file so that I write a debug message in my daemon. My question is where should I put the log file in my system. Should I put it in the var folder?
Please advice.
Many thanks.
Hi guys,
Is there a good application (that has some kind of gui) for testing memory leaks in c code. I would really like to test my assignment/programme but being very new to this, i struggle with using the terminal to do things, especially using gdb for debugging (to me it feels like a blast from the past, where i could be using some visual debugger).
Thanks for the help
edit: platform doesn't matter - i am running everything ;)
I want to design a web svc that will push out data as they arrive at the backend server. Something like a twitter streaming API. I want to use the .Net platform
The consumers can use json and javascript events to be notified when new stuff is in the pipe.
How can I design something like this?
We have a server solution written entirely in unmanaged Visual C++. It contains complicated methods for really heavy data processing.
The whole thing contains millions lines of code, so rewritning it all in some other language is not an option. We could write some extra code or make isolated changes, but rewriting everything is out of the question.
Now we'd like to put it on a cloud. Which platform do we choose - Amazon EC2 or Windows Azure - and why?
Given a file tree - a directory with directories in it etc, what software would you recommend to create a diagram of the file-tree as a graphic file that I can embed in a word processor document
I prefer vector (SVG, EPS, EMF...) files.
The tool must run on Windows, but preferably cross-platform.
The tool may be commercial but preferably free.
Hello,
I want to set the size of a JFrame such that the contentPane is the desired size. JFrame.setSize() doesn't take the window decorations into account, so the contentPane is slightly too small. The size of the window decorations are platform and theme specific, so it's bad news to try to manually account for them.
JFrame.getContentPane().setSize() fails because it's managed.
Ideas?
Thanks!
Hello group, I am helping out a friend with setting up a web site based on eSyndicat.
Is anyone here using this platform, can questions be asked here for it?
If not, can you recommend a good place for that.
Platform: Windows xp
Vim: Gvim 72 on a stick
Is there a way to run vim from an usb stick, but with your own font you have somewhere in its directory, but which is not installed on a machine (i.e. it is not present in c:\windows\fonts) you're running it on?
All creative ideas welcomed.
When an external JavaScript file is referenced,
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.4.4.min.js"></script>
is the JavaScript source (lines of code before interpretation) available from the DOM or window context in the current HTML page? I mean by using only standard JavaScript without any installed components or tools.
I know tools like Firebug trace into external source but it's installed on the platform and likely has special ability outside the context of the browser sandbox.
C\C++ lib for cross-platform device streams capturing (It shall find all devices in system and be able to give me their streams for encoding or filtering or any thing else). I want it to be cross-platrorm So is there any lib like this, opensource?
Heading says it all really. Using Windows 7 and latest stable gvim, whenever I save (:w) a file it's marked executable. I'm doing cross-platform development and it'd be nice if this didn't happen.
How do I ensure when I distribute a JAR-file that the proper SWT-library (either the windows, the linux or mac version) is loaded an ready to use?
It would be very helpful because then you can do one export and your application can run on any platform like Swing apps usually do.
Thanks a lot
Hi I am getting the operation cannot be completed error when i tried to open Visual studio 2010. Previous to that I was trying to install web platform and didnt install but that is all I did...anyone have suggestions...i tried restart my pc...
According to this: http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/whatisgoogleappengine.html
it seems that GAE only uses Datastore to store data, which is equivalent with Table service on Windows Azure Platform.
Does anyone know that which RDBMS it uses? or such thing exists or not?
I am looking for a cross platform RAD IDE with GUI building. NetBeans looks right (or am aI wrong?).
However, I may want to code somethings in C++ and some in Python.
It looks like both are supported, but I am not sure if I need to install two copies of NetBeans or if one can handle both programming languages.
Sorry it's such a st00pid n00b question - can anyone tell me quickly? Thanks
I am trying to install magento (open source e-commerce platform) sample data on my webhost.
I have uploaded the file magento_sample_data.sql via ftp, and setup a new database and have assigned it to a user.
How do I get the sample data into my empty database?
