  Hi there I have set up my coldfusion application to have dynamic urls on the page, such as www.musicExplained/index.cfm/artist/:VariableName However my variable names will sometimes contain slashes, such as www.musicExplained/index.cfm/artist/GZA/Genius This is causing a problem, because my application presumes that the slash in the variable name represents a different section of the website, the artists albums. So the URL will fail. I am wondering if there is anyway to prevent this from happening? Do I need to use a function that replaces slashes in the variable names with another character? Thanks

• Where are the snapshot files?

  Hey guys, The documentation states that the snapshots are persisted to S3 for persistence... I wanted to leverage that and create a instance of my server in a different region (my original server is in APAC, I wanted to create an instance in US-East.) I have logged into my account via CloudBerry S3, but cannot see any files in the S3 account (sorry, I am beginner in AWS.) Also, switching over to US-East removes the snapshot from view... so how can I create another instance using the same EBS volume in a different region? Why can't I see the snapshot files in my S3? • Trouble passing a string as a SQLite ExecSQL command

  I keep getting the ERROR: near "PassWord": syntax error when trying to execute the ExecSQL() statement. The command looks good in the output of the text file. In fact, I copied & pasted the command directly into SQLite Database Browser and the commend executed properly. • Printing from a Windows Service

  Ok, I am trying to print a page from a windows service that I installed using a Visual Studio setup project. At first I set the Account property yo Local System, but it will tell me that there are no printers installed (and there are). So I changed it to user and now it just doesn't print (no error or anything). I did some Googleing and basically it said that "Interact with Desktop" should be enabled. To programatically do this you need to edit the registry settings for this service (which really is second prize). I tried to manually set it on the properties dialog under Services, but then I need to change the Account back to Local System, which brings me back to the "No Printers Installed" problem. Any ideas?

• How can I map "insert='false' update='false'" on a composite-id key-property which is also used in a one-to-many FK?

  I am working on a legacy code base with an existing DB schema. The existing code uses SQL and PL/SQL to execute queries on the DB. We have been tasked with making a small part of the project database-engine agnostic (at first, change everything eventually). We have chosen to use Hibernate 3.3.2.GA and "*.hbm.xml" mapping files (as opposed to annotations). Unfortunately, it is not feasible to change the existing schema because we cannot regress any legacy features. The problem I am encountering is when I am trying to map a uni-directional, one-to-many relationship where the FK is also part of a composite PK. Here are the classes and mapping file... I encountered a problem when I tried to update and existing record. I received a BatchUpdateException and after looking through the SQL logs I saw Hibernate was trying to do something stupid... update COMPANY_NAME set COMPANY_ID=null where COMPANY_ID=? Hibernate was trying to dis-associate child records before updating them. The problem is that this field is part of the PK and not-nullable. I found the quick solution to make Hibernate not do this is to add "not-null='true'" to the "key" element in the parent mapping. SO now may mapping looks like this... I have also tryed changing it to a key-many-to-one element but that didn't work either. So... How can I map "insert='false' update='false'" on a composite-id key-property which is also used in a one-to-many FK?

• Implications of Fulltext Search over many columns

  Hello, I have a really wide table which includes separate columns for billing address, shipping address, primary address, names, aliases etc. (I can't normalize this table further, and that's not the question here anyways). I'm implementing SQL Server fulltext search, and I'm wondering whether I should limit the search ability to just the primary fields (primary address and names for example), or if I can extend the search ability across all columns without occurring too much of a performance or memory penalty. I've done some basic testing with 10,000 sample rows and it's quite fast but I don't have much experience with fulltext indexing, especially its dictionary internals, so I don't know if the index is going to grow over time, or if there is anything else to consider. Thoughts?

  Hey All Let me explain you the scenario upto now.. Been a newbie to Joomla I managed to build my own website using Joomla CMS in my computers localhost. Then after the completion of the site, I wanted to upload my Local Joomla Site to a GoDaddy Server / Hosting Account.. Thanks to Google I found the below mentioned tutorial, http://zensamarketing.com/2009/07/how-to-use-joomlapack-and-kickstart-to-upload-your-local-joomla-site-to-a-godaddy-server-hosting-account/ So far I completed up to the 7th step, But I'm stuck at the step 08. I'm using Filezilla as my FTP client, Using that I uploaded the files as per the guided on step 07 and when I try to access www.mysitename.com/kickstart.php, it is giving me the below error, Forbidden You don't have permission to access /kickstart.php on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. How can I set permission... Please explain in a non technical way.. They offer user to save the file under name "AttachmentDownload.aspx". Is there a workaround for this? • Create DataGridView columns from Table values

  Hi, I am using data grid view to display items as excel spread sheet in VB.NET. I got a table named CostTypes with column names [CostTypeID, CostType] and values [1,External] and [2,Internal] (These are constant but more values can be added to table). I want to create columns with names of the values[External , Internal] in DataGridView. If I use databiding directly I get columns [CostTypeID,CostType] which is not what I am looking for. If some one could explain how to create columns at runtime in datagridview or how to retrieve data from data base using LINQ so that [External , Internal] turn out to be columns that would be great. I have created an application that allows my clients to accept online donations and what I want to do is take % percent of that transaction off the top. The problems I have run into are: Authroize does not allow me to take on an additional fee that is paid out to my account I could run a report every month on all my clients transactions to determine what they owe but this is less than ideal All of the companies I looked at do not allow for aggregation where by all of the donation systems pay into my account then I remit payment to my clients Does anyone know of a company that allows for this or is my only option here going to be to setup my own Payment Gateway or is there a simpler solution?

• Accessing variable from ARGV

  I'm writing a cPanel postwwwact script, if you're not familiar with the script its run after a new account is created. it relies on the user account variable being passed to the script which i then use for various things (creating databases etc). However, I can't seem to find the right way to access the variable i want. I'm not that good with shell scripts so i'd appreciate some advice. I had read somewhere that the value i wanted would be included in $ARGV{'user'} but this simply gives "root" as opposed to the value i need. I've tried looping through all the arguments (list of arguments here) like this: #!/bin/sh for var do touch /root/testvars/$var done and the value i want is in there, i'm just not sure how to accurately target it. There's info here on doing this with PHP or Perl but i have to do this as a shell script. EDIT Ideally i would like to be able to call the variable by something other than $1 or $2 etc as this would create issues if an argument is added or removed Any ideas?

• IO.Directory.Exists always returns true

  I am executing a IO.Directory.Exists on a network share from an ASP.NET application running under a specific Application Pool with a specific user account. The call always returns true. I have tried several variations: \\server\share$\directory \\192.168.0.1\share$\directory H:\directory I have checked that directory and share permissions are available to the account. The path does have spaces in it \\server\share$\directory\name name\test test, which should make no difference, however I have read otherwise. I will continue to check permissions, as it does work from my local machine (with the built in VS web-server and I am an administrator on the network), but when deployed to the IIS 6.0 virtual directory, and run under the Application Pool, it does not work.

• Is there a more efficient way to retrieve tables from websites using wpf + webclient

  new to the community, but here is my first question that I am stuck on. I am new to WPF and WebClient using c# and I am attempting to make a program that access www.nba.com to populate a combobox I have with team names, and then when a user selects a team from the combobox, I wanted to populate a portion of the main window with the roster from the teams home site, same style and eveything. I was able to populate the combobox using the WebClient.OpenRead and reading in the markup to extract the team names. Now I am on the more difficult part. I was planning on using the same method to grab all the markup and then somehow display the table in a content panel, but I feel that this is a very tedious thing to do. Can anyone give me any tips for completing this action or is there a method in the webclient class that allows me to search a webpage for a table or object other than text? Thanks.

  http://betawww.helpcurenow.org/media/press/ You'll see I have used spans within an anchor, with the span.hover-description set to display:none; by default, and on a:hover that span is set to display block and absolutely positioned to create a tool-tip effect when hovering over the name and email of the "For Immediate Release" contact names. Everything looks as desired in Firefox, but Chrome reveals my unknown blunder somewhere. Any help on what's the problem that is causing Chrome to not display like Firefox? Incidentally, Explorer shows the tool tip as expected, although I'm getting a funky bottom margin issue below the names, and Safari has the same issue as Chrome (must be a webkit rendering setting that I need to accommodate for).

  I'm trying to populate a Drop down list with pharmaceutical companies, like Bayer, Medley etc. And, I'm getting theses names from DB and theses names are repeated in DB, but with different id's. I'm trying to use Linq Distinct(), but I don't want to use the equality comparer. Is there another way? My drop down list must be filled with the id and the name of the company. • Preg_match class name from PHP file

  I have a script that recursively scans a directory pulling out class names from php files, and storing those classes names in an array. This is working nicely even through the rather large Zend Framework library folders. The issue is that classes that extend other classes are not being included in the array. Here is my current preg_match: if (preg_match("/class\s*(\w*)\s*\{/i",strip_comments(file_get_contents($file)),$matches)) $classes[] = $matches[1]; I know that the last \s* is not right; there should be something there that can catch "{" or " extends Some_Other_Class {" .
