• hide XML element from appearing in browser

  HI, I have a website which I am setting up. However, I want the first page (Home) not to have any sub menu. When I change the value of true to false all the other pages where I want the drop down to appear also disappear. I want other pages to have sub menu but not the home page. I have tried to change the xml path etc, but nothing seems to work. Can somebody please advise on this. I am new to xml and finding this very challenging. I have uploaded the config.xml and the layout xml's.   i need a dropdownlist to show current month and year (January 2010) till January 2011, and an additional record of January 2011 +. • Django: IE doesn't load locahost or loads very SLOWLY

  I'm just starting to learn Django, building a project on my computer, running Windows 7 64-bit, Python 2.7, Django 1.3. Basically whatever I write, it loads in Chrome and Firefox instantly. But for IE (version 9), it just stalls there, and does nothing. I can load up "http://127.0.0.1:8000" on IE and leave the computer on for hours and it doesn't load. Sometimes, when I refresh a couple of times or restart IE it'll work. If I change something in the code, again, Chrome and Firefox reflects changes instantly, whereas IE doesn't - if it loads the page at all. What is going on? I'm losing my mind here....

  Odd situation... I need to create a new instance of a class that needs a member of the calling class. But i can't pass a reference to the calling class through the constructor. The solution i am looking for is something like this: Public Class ChildClass Public Sub New(args) _MyMember = GetMemberFromCallingClass() ... ... End Sub End Class I want this to work without having to manually pass any references or variables from the calling class to the new instance of ChildClass. Is this possible and if so, what should i look at to make this part of my code.

• how to sort an existing table in greasemonkey ?

  i'm writing a greasemonkey user.js for a page with a table in it. (table is 100 rows by 18 columns.) now what i want to do is to make it sortable on column. and also have it run in both chrome and firefox. all searches for answers sofar resulted in suggestions to use jquery/dojo or something alike. can i be done without any external code? after all it's just a matter of replacing the row's in a different order, right? or is that a silly thing to say? the thing is that i'm already using dojo for some query needs but since i want it to run in both firefox and chrome, i just copy paste the whole dojo thing in my script.. also, most of the solutions i found sofar seem to be more for use when building a table. not for altering an existing one. any help is appreciated.

• Why is this js code so slow?

  This code takes 3 seconds on Chrome and 6s on Firefox. If I write the code in Java and run it under Java 7.0 it takes only 10ms. Chrome's JS engine is usually very fast. Why is it so slow here? btw. this code is just for testing.   This seems like a simple request, but google is not my friend because "partition" scores a bunch of hits in database and filesystem space. I need to enumerate all partitions of an array of N values (N is constant) into k sub-arrays. The sub-arrays are just that - a starting index and ending index. The overall order of the original array will be preserved. For example, with N=4 and k=2: [ | a b c d ] (0, 4) [ a | b c d ] (1, 3) [ a b | c d ] (2, 2) [ a b c | d ] (3, 1) [ a b c d | ] (4, 0) I'm pretty sure this isn't an original problem (and no, it's not homework), but I'd like to do it for every k <= N, and it'd be great if the later passes (as k grows) took advantage of earlier results.   all! I'll try to be as detailed as possible in describing my predicament. I have a little background knowledge in Visual Basic, but none really in VBA or VBscript in Outlook 2010. I'm working with Outlook 2010. I created a custom form (this is my first time). I have a combo box named ComboBox1 and a text box named TextBox1. I am trying to auto-populate TextBox1 with a number based on the selection made from ComboBox1 (ex. I select Value 1 from ComboBox1 and TextBox1 populates with 124). • iframe 100% height causing vertical scrollbar

  I'm trying to layout a design that has a fixed height header at the top of the screen, and then an iframe below taking up the remaining space. The problem I'm running into is that if you paste the code exactly as seen below, using XHTML Strict, in each browser (tested w/ chrome/safari/ie8) you will see a vertical scroll bar with a few pixels of white space below the div. Doing some experimenting, I found that if I remove the doctype completely it works in safari/chrome, but IE gets even worse, setting the iframe height to 300px or so. If I set the doctype to transitional, it works in safari/chrome but has the same problem as in the strict case for IE8. If I use the HTML5 doctype, it has the same problem as strict in all browsers. Finally, if I remove the iframe in any of these cases, everything is laid out just fine. Anyone have any ideas?
