    I am trying to access the OpenGL capability of the phone before deciding whether to use OpenGL or Canvas for graphics puposes. However, all the functions that I can read documentation on requires you to already have a valid OpenGL context (namely, create a GLSurfaceView and assign it a rendered. Then check the OpenGL parameters in the onSurfaceCreated). So, is there a way to check the extensions, renderer name and max texture size capability of the phone BEFORE having to create any OpenGL views?

This is important too: I added both /*const*/s and reformatted the code. Now, we get back to the topic: I can't think of a sane use of the equality operator that lets you modify its by-ref arguments. I know there's a similar post about this here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/918676/generate-sha-hash-in-openssl, but I'm looking to specifically create sha256. UPDATE: Seems to be a problem witht he include paths. It can't find any openssl functions even though I included #include "openssl/sha.h" and I included the paths in my build -I/opt/ssl/include/ -L/opt/ssl/lib/ -lcrypto

  • Filling a screen width

    I'm really struggling to tidy up a web site I am building for someone. I've spent hours on trying to figure this out! I have limited knowledge so the code would be helpful. They want the section at the top (originally two images, now I'm trying background images and css) to fill the width of the browser- no matter what size it is. Does anyone know how to do this? Similarly, is there a setting to get text to fill 100% width of the box, no matter what? I would seriously appreciate even someone helping me move on a step! they want everything to sit tight and inline, in some browsers/screens it does but on mine it spreads out with lots of white space. www.thegees.co.uk is the site.

    Hi I'm writing an error handler script which encrypts the error data (file, line, error, message etc) and passes the serialized array as a POST variable (using curl) to a script which then logs the error in a central db. My curl is fairly simple: $ch = curl_init($url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, true); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, 'data=' . $data); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, true); $output = curl_exec($ch); Things I suspect could be causing this: Encoding of the curl request Something to do with mcrypt padding missing bytes I've been staring at it too long and have missed something really really obvious If I turn off the crypt functions (so the transfer tx-rx is unencrypted) the data is received fine.     Say I post the following WSASend call (Windows I/O completion ports without callback functions): void send_data() { WSABUF wsaBuff[2]; wsaBuff[0].len = 20; wsaBuff[1].len = 25; WSASend(sock, &wsaBuff[0], 2, ......); } When I get the "write_done" notification from the completion port, is it possible that wsaBuff[1] will be sent completely (25 bytes) yet wsaBuff[0] will be only partially sent (say 7 bytes)?

    Sometime back I used a windows tool to see what a process is doing. This tool allowed me to inspect functions exported from DLL. It also allowed me to change the values passed to a function on the fly. I cannot recollect the name(not sure if that was free or commercial one). Could any one point to me solution that can do this?
