  • Is PyOpenGL a good place to start learning opengl programing?

    I want to start learning OpenGL but I don't really want to have to learn another language to do it. I already am pretty proficient in python and enjoy the language. I just want to know how close it is to the regular api? Will I be able to pretty easily follow tutorials and books without too much trouble? I know C++ gives better performance, but for just learning can I go wrong with PyOpenGL? Thanks alot

  • How does Python differentiate between the different data types?

    Sorry if this is quite noobish to you, but I'm just starting out to learn Python after learning C++ & Java, and I am wondering how in the world I could just declare variables like id = 0 and name = 'John' without any int's or string's in front! I figured out that perhaps it's because there are no ''s in a number, but how would Python figure that out in something like def increase(first, second) instead of something like int increase(int first, int second) in C++?!

    This is not a programming question but more of an operating system question Right now I'm trying to learn what exactly Double paging means. I see two different terms, double paging on disk and double paging in memory. Apparently this problem arises when we introduce a buffer cache to store disk blocks when doing File I/O But I'm not really sure what exactly this term means. I thought it will be more useful if I could apply what I learn on an ARM simulator... writing code then watching results and different execution stages would be more fun... I have searched for it, but all I could find was either a freeware on linux or a demo on windows Is there a simulator that allow me to see execution steps and different changes for ARM processor (any version!) that runs on windows??
