• Dojo: dijit.form.DropDownButton content not positioned correctly

  I have the following setup: <div dojoType="dijit.form.DropDownButton"> <span>Modify</span> <div dojoType="dijit.Menu"> <div dojoType="dijit.MenuItem">...</div> </div> </div> There is of course more to the final setup. The problem I Have is that if I scroll in the page, the popup menu under the DropDownButton comes much higher in the page. I suspect that it's subtracting the scrollOffset for the position off the popup, while in reality that is not needed. Anyone got any tips about how to fix this? I would prefer to use declerative html syntax for using Dojo widgets. == Fixed == I updated to dojo 1.4.2 and this got fixed then.

  I'm creating a Rails application which uses MySQL. I have a table in my DB like this: create_table "pastes", :force => true do |t| t.string "title" t.text "body" t.string "syntax" t.boolean "private" t.datetime "expire" t.string "password" t.datetime "created_at" t.datetime "updated_at" end I want to show only the non-expired pastes to people, so I do this: @pastes = Paste.find(:all, :conditions => "expire < '#{Time.now.strftime('%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S')}'") However, even that returns ALL pastes. Not just those that are not expired yet. Can anyone help me? Thanks Oh, changing < to > returns no pastes, not even the non-expired ones :(

"\n"; } I'm buzzled by each operator on the first line. What type exactly are $response, $respone-{bucket}. Looks like the expression within the 'for' is an array, but I don't understand this syntax: @{ ... }?

• How to ignore the .classpath for Eclipse projects using Mercurial?

  I'm trying to share a repository between my Mac (laptop) and PC (desktop). There are some external dependencies for the project that are stored on different places on each machine, and noted in the .classpath file in the Eclipse project. When the project changes are shared, the dependencies break. I'm trying to figure out how to keep this from happening. I've tried using .hgignore with the following settings, among others, without success: syntax: glob *.classpath Based on this question, it appears that the .hgignore file will not allow Mercurial to ignore files that are also committed to the repository. Is there another way around this? Other ways to configure the project to make it work?

• Dynamically reducing image dimension as well as image size in C#

  I have an image gallery that is created using a repeater control. The repeater gets bound inside my code behind file to a table that contains various image paths. The images in my repeater are populated like this <img src='<%# Eval("PicturePath")' %>' height='200px' width='150px'/> (or something along those lines, I don't recall the exact syntax) The problem is sometimes the images themselves are massive so the load times are a little ridiculous. And populating a 150x200px image definitely should not require a 3MB file. Is there a way I can not only change the image dimensions, but shrink the file size down as well? Thanks!

  I've created a domain class in Grails like this: class MyObject { static hasMany = [tags: String] // Have to declare this here, as nullable constraint does not seem to be honoured Set tags = new HashSet() static constraints = { tags(nullable: false) } } Writing unit tests to check the size and content of the MyObject.tags property, I found I had to do the following: assertLength(x, myObject.tags as Object[]) assertEquals(new HashSet([...]), myObject.tags) To make the syntax nicer for writing the tests, I implemented the following methods: void assertEquals(List expected, Set actual) { assertEquals(new HashSet(expected), actual) } void assertLength(int expected, Set set) { assertLength(expected, set as Object[]) } I can now call the assertLength() and assertEquals() methods directly on an instance of Set, e.g. assertLength(x, myObject.tags) assertEquals([...], myObject.tags) I'm new to Groovy and Grails, so unaware how dangerous method overloading like this is. Is it safe? If so, I'm slightly* surprised that these methods (or similar) aren't already available - please let me know if they are. * I can see how these methods could also introduce ambiguity if people weren't expecting them. E.g. assertLength(1, set) always passes, no matter what the content of set

• Android: Best way/library to write an app that simply gets/sets your Facebook status, sends Facebook

  I have the Android Facebook-Connect library running in my emulator and I'm able to set my status with the Facebook API I have setup. However, I don't know where to go from there? Am I supposed to use the session key that this library allows me to get and make some Facebook API calls? I haven't found any code examples to even see what the proper syntax is. Am I better off using another library? I tried fbrocket with limited luck(I get a "server error 104 - Incorrect signature"). Thanks for any help.

  I've used mysql's update replace function before, but even though I think I'm following the same syntax, I can't get this to work-it matches the rows, but doesn't replace.   There are 3 tables. Products, Options and Prod_Opts_relations. The latter holds product_id and option_id so i should be able to figure out which options are selected for any given product. Now i want to retrieve all options from the options table where the value of an extra alias field should hold checked or unchecked depending on the existance of a mathing record in the relations table for a give product id.   I am creating a custom Attribute (extending System.Attribute). I know I can put it on another class easily enough by doing the following. [MattsAttribute] public class SomeClassWhichIsACodeBehind { However, I need to be able to test this attribute easily, and putting it in the code-behind would cause a lot of extra effort to get it deployed to an environment which would respond to the behavior of attribute. What I would like to do: declaratively apply this attribute to the .aspx page itself (which is really just another class that inherits from the code-behind). Is this possible? If so, what is the proper syntax for doing this?

• Why are cookies only sent to http://www.example.com and NOT http://example.com?

  I have a PHP login which sets 2 cookies once someone login. The problem is that if you login from http://www.example.com and you go to http://example.com, you will find yourself not logged in. I think that is because the browser only send the cookies to the first syntax. It is only one domain, the difference is the www. before the domain name, so how to set cookies to the whole domain whatever there is www. or not? <?php setcookie('username',$username,time()+3600); ?>

Removing the parentheses around the lambda yields Cannot convert 'lambda expression' to non-delegate type 'MonoTouch.Foundation.NSDateComponents'. What is the correct C# syntax? I need to retain the closures as there are a lot more in the code base that I am porting.

I have a struct: typedef struct{ int a; }myStruct; Then I have: myStruct tempStruct; I am trying to pass the struct to a class method whose implementation is: - (void) myFunc:(struct myStruct)oneOfMyStructs{}; I call the method like so: [myClass myFunc:(struct myStruct)tempStruct]; The compiler complains about "Conversion to non-scalar type requested." All I want to do is pass a struct into a class method, but the syntax has me a bit confused. I'm new to Objective-C. Please let me know if you can see where I'm going wrong.   I'm writing a compiler and I have gone through all the steps (tokenizing, parsing, syntax tree structures, etc.) that they show you in all the compiler books. (Please don't comment with the link to the "Resources for writing a compiler" question!). I have chosen to use NASM together with alink as my backend. Now my problem is: I just can't find any good resources for learning NASM and assembly in general. The wikibook (german) on x86 assembly is horrible. They don't even explain the code they write there, I currently can't even get simple things like adding 1 to 2 and outputting the result working. Where can I learn NASM x86 assembly?

• What could possibly cause this error when declaring an object inside a class?

  I'm battling with this assignment :) I've got two classes: Ocean and Grid. When I declare an object of the Grid inside the Ocean: unsigned int sharkCount; Grid grid; The compiler/complainer says: error C2146: syntax error : missing ';' before identifier 'grid' Can you possibly predict what produces this error with the limited info I provided? It seems that as if the Ocean doesn't like the Grid class. Could this be because of the poor implementation of the grid class. BTW the Grid has a default constructor. Yet the error happens in compiling time!. EDIT: They're each in separate header file, and I've included the Grid.h in the Ocean.h.

  I created a javascript class as follow: var MyClass = (function() { function myprivate(param) { console.log(param); } return { MyPublic : function(param) { myprivate(param); } }; })(); MyClass.MyPublic("hello"); The code above is working, but my question is, how if I want to introduce namespace to that class. Basically I want to be able to call the class like this: Namespace.MyClass.MyPublic("Hello World"); If I added Namespace.MyClass, it'll throw error "Syntax Error". I did try to add "window.Namespace = {}" and it doesn't work either. Thanks.. :)

  Hello, I have an SQL-table holding the last hands received by a player in card game. The hand is represented by an integer (32 bits == 32 cards): create table pref_hand ( id varchar(32) references pref_users, hand integer not NULL check (hand > 0), stamp timestamp default current_timestamp ); As the players are playing constantly and that data isn't important (just a gimmick to be displayed at player profile pages) and I don't want my database to grow too quickly, I'd like to keep only up to 10 records per player id. So I'm trying to declare this PL/PgSQL procedure: create or replace function pref_update_game(_id varchar, _hand integer) returns void as $BODY$ begin delete from pref_hand offset 10 where id=_id order by stamp; insert into pref_hand (id, hand) values (_id, _hand); end; $BODY$ language plpgsql; but unfortunately this fails with: ERROR: syntax error at or near "offset" because delete doesn't support offset.
