    How can I change the icon of a .JAR file I want to distribute? I have changed the icon that shows when the program is run, but I want to change the icon in the environment (e.g. Windows XP), that is for the file itself. I googled, but the best I could find is converting the .JAR to a .EXE, which is not the best choice.

    hi i have problems in converting an XML document type into a Document object.. this is the piece of code line 1 : Document doc=null; line 2 : doc = (Document) parser.parse(sourceFile); for this line 2 it throws java classcast exception.. without the typecast it shows error as "Type mismatch: cannot convert from org.w3c.dom.Document to javax.swing.text.Document" how do i now typecast properly? any suggestions??

I don't want the "pasted-to" application to perform any actions on the clipboard (e.g. formatting text, converting). To draw a custom background in neighbor cells (based on NSTextFieldCell) I use isHighlighted method: - (void)drawWithFrame:(NSRect)cellFrame inView:(NSView *)controlView { if ([self isHighlighted]) { //here I draw the cell background But for NSButtonCell isHighlighted shows only the button pressed state. How to determine when the NSButtonCell is selected, i.e. when it's highlighted in the row?

"Device API version is 7 (Android 2.1)" The application never starts, instead, it shows that frame with: "The application (...) has stopped unexpectedly..."   • Visual Studio 2010 : Cant change target. Gives TargetFrameworkMoniker Error.

    I have a console application which has target .NET 2.0 It is very short but full of unsafe code. I converted it to VS 2010. I run it OK. When I try to change "target framework" in properties to 3.5 or 4.0 it shows message box: TargetFrameworkMoniker: Error parsing application configuration file at line 0. XML document must have a top level element. the target then stays 2.0 anyway... Any thoughts?

    I would like to use Python's tempfile module to create a temporary file that I will use for communication between processes (use of pipes is awkward). The documentation I've linked to above shows two functions that almost do what I want: tempfile.NamedTemporaryFile # For creating named tempfiles tempfile.SpooledTemporaryFile # For creating tempfiles in memory but actually I want a tempfile that is both named AND in memory. Any ideas?

    I have a Windows 2008 server with two IP addresses assigned to a single NIC. The DNS settings are setup to register the connections's addresses on the DNS server. nslookup shows both IP addresses for the server name. How is name resolution done in this case, i.e. which IP address does the DNS server return for a host lookup? Or does it return both, and the client selects one of the addresses?

    I have a UITextView which the keyboard enters values into. However, if you clear the text value (i.e uitextview.text = @""), the keyboard's state does not reset to the lowercase alphabet keyboard. That is, if I was in the middle of typing "hello.." and the textview gets cleared, the keyboard still shows the symbols, rather than back to the alphabetical letters. Is there a way to get around this?

  • WPF DataGrid Get All SelectedRows

    Have to use free WPF DataGrid (I thought Infragistics libraries are bad, I take it back after this) for this project of mine. Looks like DataGrid doesnt have clean MVVM Friendly way of getting the list of selectedRows ? I can data bind to SelectedItem="{Binding SelectedSourceFile}" but this only shows the 1st selected row. Need to be able to get all selected rows. Any hints to do it cleanly via MVVM ?
