  • How to rotate UIViews?

    The Twitter app is a tab bar app on the iPhone. Nothing in any of the tabs will rotate, yet, when you click on a link from a tweet, the view controller that is pushed on top of it IS allowed to rotate. The only rotations I have ever doe is from tilting the device, landscape or portrait, but I don't understand how to use 2d transformations and animations to rotate views. How do you rotate any view with that's a subclass of UIView?

    I'm calling the twitter4j library using Clojure like so: (def twitter (. (TwitterFactory.) getInstance)) This works fine when I call it as a script. But when I use gen-class, I get: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Can't call public method of non-public class: public java.lang.Object twitter4j.TwitterFactoryBase.getInstance() Is there a workaround for this?

  • SSIS Package deployed - Fails when executed from schedule

    I've deployed a SSIS package to my SQL server. I can run the package fine by connecting to Integration Services in SSMS and right clicking on it and choosing "Run Package" However, if I schedule the package, it fails. It tells me to check the logs for information on why, but there is nothing in there... Any ideas? (this is my first SSIS package by the way)

    I have an app that creates a new data entry in a sqlite db with several columns. I would like to have a simple share button on the final activity so they can share the results (or even a simple text field) with apps that accept it (email, mms, twitter, etc..).     Is there a good way to do this? I'm writing an extension that interacts with a website as a content script and saves data using localstorage. Are there any tools, frameworks, etc. that I can use to test this behavior? I realize there are some generic tools for testing javascript, but are those sufficiently power to test an extension? Unit testing is most important, but I'm also interested in other types of testing (such as integration testing).

    In the web app I'm working on I want to do a little slide up notification, like on twitter or your desktop. jQuery's .slideDown does exactly what I want, but it's upside down. The .slideUp doesn't execute an upside down version of slideDown. Instead it hides stuff, like after your cleaning up an old message you've displayed with slideDown. So what's the simplest code to do an upside down slideDown() in jQuery?
