  • JQuery, Load() contents with plugins

    I know this is not a completely new question, but none of the answers solved my problem... I have built a little menu that uses load() to load image galleries (as external html files) into a specified div ("content"). The said galleries make use of a JQuery plugin (SlideJS). Now I know that load() does not work for script tags and that I need to use $.getscript in the callback function in order to run the scripts, but it does not work. I have two .js files that need to be loaded: one is the plugin itself and another one is a smaller script with a preloader and the animations for the captions. I can't seem to merge them together; if I put them into the same document, the script won't run. So I tried just using $.getscript to load the two files. What am I doing wrong? I'm just starting on jquery and my js knowledge is very limited. Should I just merge the two .js files together using minify or something? One of them is already minified, but I've tried with a non-minified version and it does not work either. Can anyone suggest any other solution around this problem? I thought of just having the div embedded in the main document and just showing it on click, but I'll have at least 4 galleries with about 8 to 10 images each... its a lot of images to load in the main page, so I don't think its the best way. if you need me to post any more code, please ask!   • Ext JS - Can I 'chain' methods on a field ??

    HI, I am just trying to set a field value and disable it at the same time. Can this be done in ext js? The docs are very weak on this subject. something like this generates errors: myForm.getForm().findField('start_date').setValue('').setDisabled(true); I'm used to JQuery which does this sort of thing nicely but haven't had luck with Ext.   • Bugzilla not sending emails, even to the test file?

    I have installed and setup Bugzilla3 for my domain. Everything is working properly except for the email functionality. The server uses Postfix, and that works for my PHP application, and command line. In Bugzilla, I have tried setting the mail_delivery_method to 'test', and nothing shows up in data/mailer.testfile, it is completely blank... I have no idea where to go from here, any ideas on what to try next?

  • HPET for x86 BSP (how to build it for WCE8)

Well, here it is. HPET (High Precision Event Timer) was introduced by Intel in early 2000 to: Replace old style Intel 8253 (1981!) and 8254 timers Support more accurate timers that could be used for multimedia purposes. Hence Microsoft and Intel sometimes refers to HPET as Multimedia timers. An HPET chip consists of a 64-bit up-counter (main counter) counting at a frequency of at least 10 MHz, and a set of (at least three, up to 256) comparators. These comparators are 32- or 64-bit wide. The HPET is discoverable via ACPI. The HPET circuit in recent Intel platforms is integrated into the SouthBridge chip (e.g. 82801) All HPET timers should support one-shot interrupt programming, while optionally they can support periodic interrupts. In most Intel SouthBridges I worked with, there are three HPET timers. TIMER0 supports both one-shot and periodic mode, while TIMER1 and TIMER2 are one-shot only. Each HPET timer can generate interrupts, both in old-style PIC mode and in APIC mode. However in PIC mode, interrupts cannot freely be chosen. Typically IRQ11 is available and cannot be shared with any other interrupt! Which makes the HPET in PIC mode virtually unusable. In APIC mode however more IRQs are available and can be shared with other interrupt generating devices. (Check the datasheet of your SouthBridge) Because of this higher level of freedom, I created the APIC BSP (see previous posts). The HPET driver code that I present you here uses this APIC mode. Hpet.reg [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\Hpet] "Dll"="Hpet.dll" "Prefix"="HPT" "Order"=dword:10 "IsrDll"="giisr.dll" "IsrHandler"="ISRHandler" "Priority256"=dword:50 Because HPET does not reside on the PCI bus, but can be found through ACPI as a memory mapped device, you don't need to specify the "Class", "SubClass", "ProgIF" and other PCI related registry keys that you typically find for PCI devices. If a driver needs to run its internal thread(s) at a certain priority level, by convention in Windows CE you add the "Priority256" registry key. Through this key you can easily play with the driver's thread priority for better response and timer accuracy. See later. Hpet.cpp (Hpet.dll) This cpp file contains the complete HPET driver code. The file is part of a folder that you typically integrate in your BSP (\src\drivers\Hpet). It is written as sample (example) code, you most likely want to change this code to your specific needs. There are two sets of #define's that I use to control how the driver works. _TRIGGER_EVENT or _TRIGGER_SEMAPHORE: _TRIGGER_EVENT will let your driver trigger a Windows CE Event when the timer expires, _TRIGGER_SEMAPHORE will trigger a Windows CE counting Semaphore. The latter guarantees that no events get lost in case your application cannot always process the triggers fast enough. _TIMER0 or _TIMER2: both timers will trigger an event or semaphore periodically. _TIMER0 will use a periodic HPET timer interrupt, while _TIMER2 will reprogram a one-shot HPET timer after each interrupt. The one-shot approach is interesting if the frequency you wish to generate is not an even multiple of the HPET main counter frequency. The sample code uses an algorithm to generate a more correct frequency over a longer period (by reducing rounding errors). _TIMER1 is not used in the sample source code. HPT_Init() will locate the HPET I/O memory space, setup the HPET counter (_TIMER0 or _TIMER2) and install the Interrupt Service Thread (IST). Upon timer expiration, the IST will run and on its turn will generate a Windows CE Event or Semaphore. In case of _TIMER2 a new one-shot comparator value is calculated and set for the timer. The IRQ of the HPET timers are programmed to IRQ22, but you can choose typically from 20-23. The TIMERn_INT_ROUT_CAP bits in the TIMn_CONF register will tell you what IRQs you can choose from. HPT_IOControl() can be used to set a new HPET counter frequency (actually you configure the counter timeout value in microseconds), start and stop the timer, and request the current HPET counter value. The latter is interesting because the Windows CE QueryPerformanceCounter() and QueryPerformanceFrequency() APIs implement the same functionality, albeit based on other counter implementations. The Event or Semaphore can be used to trigger a Windows CE application. HpetTest.cpp (HpetTest.exe)This cpp file contains sample source how to use the HPET driver from an application. The file is part of a separate (smart device) VS2013 solution. It contains code to measure the generated Event/Semaphore times by means of GetSystemTime() and QueryPerformanceCounter() and QueryPerformanceFrequency() APIs. HPET evaluation If you scan the internet about HPET, you'll find many remarks about buggy HPET implementations and bad performance. Unfortunately that is true. I tested the HPET driver on an Intel ICH7M SBC (release date 2008). When a HPET timer expires on the ICH7M, an interrupt indeed is generated, but right after you clear the interrupt, a few more unwanted interrupts (too soon!) occur as well. I tested and debugged it for a loooong time, but I couldn't get it to work. I concluded ICH7M's HPET is buggy Intel hardware. I tested the HPET driver successfully on a more recent NM10 SBC (release date 2013). With the NM10 chipset however, I am not fully convinced about the timer's frequency accuracy. In the long run - on average - all is fine, but occasionally I experienced upto 20 microseconds delays (which were immediately compensated on the next interrupt). Of course, this was all measured by software, but I still experienced the occasional delay when both the HPET driver IST thread as the application thread ran at CeSetThreadPriority(1). If it is not the hardware, only the kernel can cause this delay. But Windows CE is an RTOS and I have never experienced such long delays with previous versions of Windows CE. I tested and developed this on WCE8, I am not heavily experienced with it yet. Internet forum threads however mention inaccurate HPET timer implementations as well. At this moment I haven't figured out what is going on here.   • Soapui & populating database before

    SoapUi & database data needed Hi, In a J2ee project( spring ws + hibernate +postgresql+maven 2 + tomcat),We have created webservices with full crud operations. We are currently testing them with SoapUi (not yet integrated in the integration-test maven phase ). We need tomcat to test them. Actually before the phase test, with a maven plugin, only one time, some datas are injected in the database before the launch of all tests through many sql files. But the fact is that to test some webservices i need some data entry & their Id (primary key) A- What is the best way to create them ? 1- populate one of the previous .sql test file. But now we have a big dependency where i have to be careful to use the same id use in a insert in the sql file in SoapUi too. And if any developper drop the value, the test will broke. 2- create amongst the .sql file test a soapui.sql where ALL data needed for the Sopaui test will be concentrated. The advantage is that the maintenance will be much more easy. 3-because i have Ws available for all crud operations, i can create before any testsuite a previous testsuite called setup-testsuiteX. In this one, i will use those Ws to inject datas in the databse & save id in variables thanks to the feature "property transfer" 4-launch the soapui test xml file with a junit java test & in the Setup Method (we are using spring test), we will populate the database with DbUnit. Drawback: they are already data in the database & some conflicts may appear due to constraint.And now i have a dependency between: - dbUnit Xml file (with the value primary key) - sopaui test where THOSe value of primarykey will be used advantage: A automatic rollback is possible for DbUnit Data but i dont know how it will react because those data have been used with the Ws. 5- your suggestion ? better idea ? Testing those Ws create datas in the DB. How is the best way to remove them at the end ? (in how daostest we were using a automatic rollback with spring test to let the database clean) Thanks in advance for your hep & sorry for my english, it is not my mother thongue. Regards.

records... i am not able to find any solution /control using which i an do it easily. coz my field's value is in attribute named "Value" when in the examples i saw its between opening and closing tag.. i have 2 methods to do so. 1 . i make one page to edit a single record and pass id of record to that page on editing. open the page in iframe on same page to edit and in page_load get data from database for id passed and fill it in control. 2 . i store xml on server as physical file and use it in page i opened in iframe to edit the record. so i am confused... can anybody please guide me that what shpould i do to let user provide interface to edit this xml data/user profile ?

  • GUI Application becomes unresponsive while http request is being done

    I have just made my first proper little desktop GUI application that basically wraps a GUI (php-gtk) interface around a SimpleTest Web Test case to make it act as a remote testing client. Each time the local The Web Test case runs, it sends an HTTP request to another SimpleTest case (that has an XHTML interface) sitting on my server. The application, allows me to run one local test that collates information from multiple remote tests. It just has a 'Start Test' button, 'Stop Test' button and a setting to increase/decrease the number of remote tests conducted in each HTTP Request. Each test-run takes about an hour to complete. The trouble is, most of the time the application is making http requests. Furthermore, whenever an HTTP Request is being made, the application's GUI is unresponsive. Test Runner Application - Acts as a settings-reader / report-writer and, for each iteration reads the settings file, Runs the test, then write a report. So to tell it to close down - I'd: Press the Stop Button on the 'Test Controller Application', which writes to the settings file, which is read by the 'Test Runner Application' which stops, then writes to the report file to say it stopped the 'Test Controller Application' reads the report and updates the status and so on... However, before I go ahead and split the application in two - I am wondering if there is any other obvious way to deal with, this issue. I suspect it is probably quite common and a well-trodden path. Also is there an easier way to send messages between two applications?

But I am appending some url parameter (e.g. http://localhost.local/test.cfm?q=1) will throw error. Also I am calling same url in different browser then one of the call will throw timeout issue. Is lock based on session and url?     I am using the Ajax Minifier http://www.ajaxprojects.com/ajax/tutorialdetails.php?itemid=766 and have embedded it in the csproj file for use in Visual Studio 2008 (not the free version). I have two folders, Content and Scripts, directly under the root of the project. Also, the Content folder has subfolders, and would like to include all of these as well (if I have to manually add each subfolder that is fine as well). Currently, my csproj file looks like this (and is included within the Project tags as instructed). There are no build errors, the files simply do not get minified.     I'm having an issue trying to append a javascript file using headScript()->appendFile('file name') with Zend. I have my layout setup like this: <?= $this->headScript() ->prependScript( 'BASE_URL = "' . $this->baseUrl() . '";' ) ->appendFile( $this->baseUrl('js/lib/jquery/jquery-1.4.2.min.js') ) ->appendFile( $this->baseUrl('js/admin.js') ); ?> Then, in my controller I am trying to append an additional js file only for this page, like: $this->view->headScript()->appendFile( 'another/js/file.js' ); This file needs to be appended to what is already setup in the layout. However, this file gets added before the other 'appendFile' files. I've also tried $this->headScript()->offsetSetFile(999, '/js/myfuncs.js'); But this still adds the file before the other files. This is not how I would expect this to work, especially when using the offsetSetFile method. How can I add this file after the other files? Thanks.

    Hi ! Let's get directly to the problem : I'm actually doing a firefox extension in which i would like to implement the jWebsocket API in order to build a small chat. I got my main script file, named test.js, and the jWebsocket lib into a js folder. Just for you to know, this is my first firefox extension ever. So in my XUL file I got this (for the script part only of course, the interface code is not shown) : <overlay id="test-overlay" xmlns="http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"> <script type="application/x-javascript" src="chrome://test/content/test.js" /> <script type="application/x-javascript" src="chrome://test/content/js/jwebsocket.js" /> jwebsocket.js being the file I need to call according to jWebsocket website. In my main script file test.js I start with : if (jws.browserSupportsWebSockets()) { jWebSocketClient = new jws.jWebSocketJSONClient(); } else { var lMsg = jws.MSG_WS_NOT_SUPPORTED; alert(lMsg); } jws being the namespace created into the jwebsocket.js file. Of course I've got the required stand-alone server running in background, and working. So from what I understood looking on various websites, is that if a js file is loaded into the javascript allocated memory space (with the tag), all namespace/function should be available between each file. But this was mostly for HTML-oriented issues, so I'm not sure if it applies to XUL/Firefox environment. But the script keep failing at the first jws call. Any ideas on what goes wrong here ? I'm stuck for 2 days now :/

    We have created a chrome extension for our app. Where we call a METHOD from a "js file" on CLICK event of the "extension icon" placed on the navigation bar. For this we use message passing between the app.js (file containing the METHOD to be called on icon click) and background.html (using a js file included in this html). But now we want to do same thing in mozilla extension. and we can't pass message to app.js on the click of the icon,so that it can execute the containing methods. We have also added the app.js using pageMod, something like this exports.main = function(options, callbacks) { pageMod.PageMod({ include: ["*"], contentScriptWhen: 'start', contentScriptFile: [data.url('jquery-1.7.1.min.js'),data.url('app.js')] }); createAndAddNavBarButton(); }; function createAndAddNavBarButton() { var navBar = document.getElementById('nav-bar');//assume document has been defined if (!navBar){return;}; var nbBtn = document.createElement('navbaricon'); nbBtn.setAttribute('id', 'navButton'); nbBtn.setAttribute('image', data.url('icon_16.png')); nbBtn.onclick = function(){ showPopup(); return true; } navBar.appendChild(btn); } But the click event does nothing and showPopup() is undefined. When a new page loads event associated with it in the app.js executes without any error but the click event doesn't work. Is there a method from where we can assign click event directly to this icon, as we have done in the case of chrome extension.

(making use of code below) [ePhone.html] <script type="text/javascript" src="js/prototype.lite.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/moo.fx.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/litebox-1.0.js"></script> The Litebox plugin also required to add onload="initLightbox()" within the BODY tag of ePhone.html. From the above code, I can load ePhone.html's content(#content div) to my (apDiv2) of my index.html. However, the lightbox effect is no longer work. I've also try loading the whole html instead of only #content: $('#apDiv2').load('ePhone.html'); but it still doesn't work. Please help, thx

    I'm using a Webkit browser inspector like this. When I run it in Ubuntu 12.10, I'm getting errors when using the inspector. I also noticed the breadcrumb/slider bar doesn't show when you have the console in the lower half: I don't remember this in earlier versions, and when I use the GTK3 version (from gi.repository import WebKit etc) it has similar problem, and is even worse, scrollbars don't have arrows at top and bottom. Am I missing a step on initializing the Webkit inspector or English locale for it? I would like to debug this issue, but since the inspector object isn't a webview object, I'm not sure I can add an inspector to the inspector? (like how you can use F12 when inspector is its own window in Chrome/Chromium, which lets you debug that inspector). It should be possible, but maybe not with pyGTK?
