I would like them to fill in text in the blank spaces, but without the page shifting down as they type (so in essence they would have a fixed space to enter their answers). • Is there a way to change the default animation speed in PowerPoint?

  I do a lot of PowerPoint (2007) presentations, and some of those involve some rather complex diagrams that I like to build step by step, using PowerPoint's animation feature. I prefer using the "fade in" style, but I find the default medium speed setting too low, so every time I'm adding an element to my animation, I have to go to the Speed dropdown box and select "Very fast". This is getting annoying, so I wonder if there is a way to tell PowerPoint that I'd like my standard animation speed (at least for fade-ins) to be "very fast"?

  I have iGoogle as my home page. Every time that I start up Firefox with the intent to go to a specific page, I end up typing half the URL in the Google search box when iGoogle steals focus away from the URL bar. Is there any way to hack Firefox (or iGoogle) to keep the page from stealing my cursor on load? Thanks!

  I have on my home Windows box - Cassini server with localhost:10000. And I want it be accessible in internet by my static IP. Tried netcat, "nc -l -p 10001 localhost 10000". But it results in "invalid connection to [IP] from [IP] 16074" Also before that it was working on Opera Unite properly, but now only writes a message: "An error occured. See error log for details". I dont know where to get that log.

We do not want to install another piece of hardware to do this for us but we have a firewall running Linux that currently forwards to only one of the internal servers.   I had to format a USB hard drive to ext3 to use it with a Linksys nas box. Now I can't read the hd when I unplug it from the nas and plug it directly into my Windows 7 computer. (The computer accesses the nas over a wireless connection, so I like to plug the hd directly into my pc when transferring large files.) How can I leave the hd formatted with ext3 and yet be able to access it (read/write) when I plug it directly into my pc?

However all the documentation I've read seems to say that you can only use the PUEL version in order to get remote access during installs - does anyone know if it's possible to do similar with the OSE but using VNC? • Is it possible to print on a networked Windows Print server from an AIX server, without using remote printer queues?

  I have an application on an AIX server (v5.3) that needs to print via a Windows Print Server over the LAN. The simplest way to do this is to use SMIT to setup a remote print queue - which I've done on the test environment - but the IT department have refused to set up a remote print queue on the Production server. I don't have root access to the Production server. Is there any other method for connecting the app to the print server that doesn't involve print queues on the AIX box?
