  • CSS difficulty horizontally displaying / repeating left and right wrapper images to ends of screen

    I am having trouble getting my left and right repeaters to fill the available space left on wide screens for a website I am working on. The left and right repeaters are background images (approxamately 350px wide) that I would like to show part of, or even repeat if the screen (visible area of screen shown in red) becomes wide enough.     hi, i did my project in c# compact framework with visual studio 2008. now i wanna create a cab file. i follow the instructions at [http://www.mobilepractices.com/2008/02/how-to-create-windows-mobile-smart.html] but im having trouble. the part that says "Browse and find SampleKindOfResourceFile.xml and press OK.", i cant find any xml in my main folder list. the only xml is found is app.config is this the correct one?

  • Query MySQL with unicode char code.

    Hi, I have been having trouble searching through a MySQL table, trying to find entries with the character (UTF-16 code 200E) in a particular column. This particular code doesn't have a glyph, so it doesn't seem to work when I try to paste it into my search term. Is there a way to specify characters as their respective code point instead for a query? Thanks, -Ben

  • Installing RESTful Authentication on netbeans

    Hi I am using Netbeans 6.8 on ubuntu 10.04 and am having trouble installing RESTful Authentication. I have gone to Install Generators, selected restful_authentication and installed it - all messages from Gem show that it has installed and it shows under the Installed tab. However, when I come to use it by clicking on the Generator drop down there is no sign of it. I beleive ther should be a selection saying "authenticated".

This question seems has a solution with selenium, but I can't figure out how to call the selenium object using Capybara. Is there a simple way to test for alerts using Capybara? Or is there a workaround?

    I just ran into trouble with the AreaDescriptionFilter of Spark using MVC 2 Beta. The following line is from my Application.spark file. It results in the view engine looking in all possible locations of the view - except in the folders of the area "Shell". # Html.RenderAction("ShowMainMenu", "Navigation", new { area = "Shell" }); Running the same action using http://localhost/Shell/Navigation/ShowMainMenu executes fine and recognizes the area's view directory as expected. Any ideas how to fix this?

    I have an NSAttributedString s and an integer i and I'd like a function that takes s and i and returns a new NSAttributedString that has a (stringified) i prepended to s. It looks like some combination of -stringWithFormat:, -initWithString:, and -insertAttributedString: would do it but I'm having trouble piecing it together without a lot of convolution and temporary variables. More generally, pointers to guides on making sense of NSAttributedString and NSMutableAttributedString would be awesome.

Burrow requires an XML NHibernate config for setting up its persistence but I don't have a config file since I'm using Fluent NHibernate to generate my config.     I'm having trouble figuring out how to do a "join" in Groovy/Grails and the return values I get person = User.get(user.id) def latestPhotosForUser = PhotoOwner.findAll("FROM PhotoOwner AS a, PhotoStorage AS b WHERE (a.owner=:person AND a.photo = b)", [person:person], [max:3]) latestPhotosForUser isn't a list of PhotoOwners. It's a list of [PhotoOwner, PhotoStorage] pairs. Since I'm doing a PhotoOwner.findAll, I would have expected to see only PhotoOwners. Am I doing something wrong, or is this the proper behavior?

    I am having trouble trying to connect an Infopath 2007 form to an WCF web service. I appears that the Infopath only wants to communicate via a SOAP 1.0 message. To get around the issue for the moment I have created an .asmx web service. Should I consider continuing down this workaround or figure out a way to get WCF to dish out SOAP 1.0 1.1 messages?

    How can I speed up the scrolling of UserControls in a WinForms app.? My main form has trouble scrolling quickly on slow machines--painting for each of the small scroll increments is CPU intensive. My form has roughly fifty UserControls (with multiple fields) positioned one below the other. I’ve tried intercepting OnScroll and UserPaint in order to eliminate some of the unnecessary re-paints for very small scroll events, but the underlying Paint gets called anyway. How can I streamline scrolling on slower machines?

    Hello: I am having some trouble with a very basic string issue in Python (that I can't figure out). Basically, I am trying to do the following: '# read file into a string myString = file.read() '# Attempt to remove non breaking spaces myString = myString.replace("\u00A0"," ") '# however, when I print my string to output to console, I get: Foo **<C2><A0>** Bar I thought that the "\u00A0" was the escape code for unicode non breaking spaces, but apparently I am not doing this properly. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
