  Hi My ASP.Net app is periodically getting the error 'Cannot find the object dbo."XXXX" because it does not exist or you do not have permissions' when it tries to execute a specific stored procedure that writes to the database. I have seen a few forum posts about this issue but the strange thing is that the method works fine almost all of the time, just every now and then I see it in my error logs. Can anyone tell me why this might works Ok most of the time but occassionally fire the error? Application is C# using Enterprise Library 4.1 Data Access. Database is SQL Server 2005 Cheers

• VS 2010 Class Diagram Error "The type cannot be edited..."

  A few of the classes on a VS 2010 class diagram are displayed with a red title. The Class Details window shows all of the methods, properties, fields and correctly shows no events. However, there's an entry under each of methods, properties, fields and events that states where the name should be: "The type cannot be edited because the source code file contains an error." However, the source file builds with no errors or warnings. Anyone seen this? Any idea how to fix it?

• VSS: How do I recover from "File <foo> has been destroyed, and cannot be rebuilt."?

  We're running Visual SourceSafe 6.0 (build 8163). In one project, there's an old label I want to do a Get on, but a few files have been added and destroyed since that label was created. Now everytime I try to do a Get on the label - for each destroyed file - I get the warning "File has been destroyed and cannot be rebuilt, do you want to continue?", (which seems completely stupid, since the destroyed files never existed before the label was set). I've tried adding files with the same name, but that didn't help. I also tried deleting (not destroying) those added files, but that didn't help either. I really want to be rid of the warning, since the home-cooked building app we use to build all the projects doesn't handle this error/warning, and hence can't Get the label requested and build that project. Help! (and no, running VSS is not by choice, trust me, I was hoping never to see it again after the first time I was forced to use it, which was ten years ago)

• Cannot call scalar-valued CLR UDF from select ... from table statement

  I have created a scalar-valued CLR UDF (user defined function). It takes a timezone id and a datetime and returns the datetime converted to that timezone. I can call it from a simple select without problems: "select dbo.udfConvert('Romance Standard Time', @datetime)" (@datetime is of course a valid datetime variable) But if I call it passing in a datetime from a table it fails: "select dbo.udfConvert('Romance Standard Time', StartTime) from sometable" (column StartTime is of course a column of type datetime) The error message is: "Cannot find either column "dbo" or the user-defined function or aggregate "dbo.udfConvert", or the name is ambiguous." This message is really for beginners that has misspelled something, but as it works in one case and not in the other, I don't think I have done any misspellings. Any ideas?

I searched and found this post which says "it [using an object as a method parameter] is not a good idea in Objective-C because Objective-C does not allow statically allocated object". While retrieving the content of link tag, i am able to retrieve only half of the url and the string after & cannot be retrieved. I want to retrieve the full url so that i can use the url to load in a webview. How can i retrieve the full url ? Please help me out.The parsing is done same as Lazy tables .   I've installed MYOB on SBS server 2003. Why? Because the users were using offline files and it turned out there was about 7 versions of the file both locally and on the server that were out of sync... So the only way I could control the file access was to force RDP to the server... Always using the server file and always in sync... Anyway, this issue occurs in MYOB Accounting Plus 18.5. Cannot get the function address for "MAPISendMail" from "MAPI32.dll" Please check your Mapi installation I just want to send mail from MYOB but I can't - MYOB support is useless and blames everyone else...(i.e. Microsoft and outlook) I have found other people with the same problem whose resolution appears to be to copy MAPI32.dll into myob directory but that hasn't worked for me...

  I'm getting this fault intermittently. I found this link which summarises fairly well what I was able to find on the Google: http://www.wacdesigns.com/2009/02/03/session-state-has-created-a-session-id-but-cannot-save-it-because-the-response-was-already-flushed-by-the-application/ Basically it says you can try setting the web config setting DisplayWhenNewSession, or try kicking the session state thing into life by getting the Session.SessionID in the Session_OnStart. But does anyone: a) have an explanation for this or even better, b) have a tried and tested fix I realise that I can't flush the response after doing anything that would affect the http response header. If I did this it would cause an error every time but this is intermittent. The SessionID should surely be created by ASP.NET at the beginning of the page response automatically, before anything in the ASPX page or the Page_Load (which is where all my flushes are called).

  I'm still new to C but trying to understand it better by working my way through a small MIDI audio unit (in Xcode 4.3.3). I've been searching for an answer to this all day and still don't even understand exactly what the problem is.   I read all of similar questions in SO but none seem to be an answer. Situation is simple. I have a ASP.NET webpage, In a VB code behind file I have the following line: iRendProvider = ddlProvider.SelectedItem.Value where iRendProvider is integer and ddlProvider is a dropdownlist. I put a breakpoint at the above line and code stops there. Now in the immdediate window in I type: ? ddlProvider.SelectedItem.Value I get "Expression cannot be evaluated at this time." If I step over iRendProvider = ddlProvider.SelectedItem.Value To the next line and I type ? iRendProvider , I see the correct value in the immediate window. Question is why this error and how to see contents of ddlProvider.

  One of our customer seems to have a very old email system, those that ask you to authenticate to the POP3 server before allowing you to send messages through the SMTP server. Regrettably, we have to believe in what our customer tell us for we cannot access their facilities. But as far as I remember, years ago there were mail systems that once you log into the POP3, the STMP server is kept open for a few minutes for the client IP. Our application sends messages by using System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient which seems to be unable to authenticate to those kinds of servers. Is that correct? If so, what would be the simplest workaround? I was thinking of a minimal POP3 implementation (just the login part of the protocol). Would that work? Thanks in advance.

• How do I open a web browser from C#? Process.Start() isn't working?

  I have a URL and I want to launch it in the default browser. I've tried two methods: Process.Start("http://stackoverflow.com"); ... and the one detailed in this other question using ShellExecute. In both cases I get the error: Windows cannot find 'http://stackoverflow.com'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. It shouldn't be trying to open it as a file though... from what I understand, it should recognize it as a URL and open it in the default browser. What am I missing? By the way: OS = Vista, and .NET = 3.5

• Facebook Error: "The client token cannot be used for this API" - works on DEV and STAGE but not on LIVE app?

  I've built a notification sending system that sends notifications to all users of our app, using the app access token. This system is currently running on my localhost. When I configure it with the appid and appsecret for my dev and stage environments, it works fine. But when I put in the appid and appsecret of the LIVE app, I get this error: {"message":"The client token cannot be used for this API", "type":"OAuthException", "code":190} So what's different between dev and live? Dev and Stage are in sandbox mode, Live is not. So I tried disabling sandbox mode on Dev/Stage and they continue to function fine. Dev works fine, Stage works fine, Live gives this error. All other code is the same except for the appid, appsecret, and redirect_uri (changing it to match the domain of each environment). I have checked this post, but unfortunately resetting our appsecret on a site with 1,000,000 users is not something we can do at the moment (too much other functionality relies on it).

  I can't seem to use any of the grails ui plugins such as richui or grails-ui. I used grails install-plugin to install them, and grails list-plugins shows that they are correctly installed. However, whenever I use their provided taglibs in my views, I get this exception: Tag [tabview] does not exist. No tag library found for namespace: gui or Tag [tabview] does not exist. No tag library found for namespace: richui I'd really like to use these features, but cannot figure out how to get grails to recognize that the tag libraries are installed.
