  • Version control PHP Web Project

    We have a php project that we would like to version control. Right now there are three of us working on a "Dev" version of the project that all have our Eclipse linked to it with just an external folder, and thus no version control. What is the right way, and what is the best way, to version control this (not necessarily the same I dont think) We have a SVN set up but just need to find a good way to check in and check out that lets us test on the dev server. Any ideas?

  • Empty R environment becomes large file when saved

    I'm getting behaviour I don't understand when saving environments. The code below demonstrates the problem. I would have expected the two files (far-too-big.RData, and right-size.RData) to be the same size, and also very small because the environments they contain are empty. In fact, far-too-big.R ends up the same size as bigfile.RData. I get the same results using 2.14.1 and 2.15.2, both on WinXP 5.1 SP3. Can anyone explain why this is happening?   • JQUERY AJAX, Issues with spaces being sent to the server, Why?

    I'm using the following code to post to the server which is then sent to a MYSQL query to find matches via search. $.ajax({ url: '/search/spotlight/', data: "q=" + $(this).val(), success: function(data) { } }); When Q's val has spaces in it, it's creating problems. I'm wondering if I'm handling this correctly? Do I need to encode the value in the AJAX call? Or is this a problem on my backend, which is ColdFusion Right now JQUERY is posting the following to the server: /search/spotlight/?q=FirstName%20LastName is this right?

  • Programmatic binding of accelerators in wxPython

    I am trying to programmatically create and bind a table of accelerators in wxPython in a loop so that I don't need to worry about getting and assigning new IDs to each accelerators (and with a view to inhaling the handler list from some external resource, rather than hard-coding them). I also pass in some arguments to the handler via a lambda since a lot of my handlers will be the same but with different parameters (move, zoom, etc).   • C++: Delete a struct?

    I have a struct that contains pointers: struct foo { char* f; int* d; wchar* m; } I have a vector of shared pointers to these structs: vector<shared_ptr<foo>> vec; vec is allocated on the stack. When it passes out of scope at the end of the method, its destructor will be called. (Right?) That will in turn call the destructor of each element in the vector. (Right?) Does calling delete foo delete just the pointers such as foo.f, or does it actually free the memory from the heap?

  • height: auto does not work to automatically resize header

    I'm trying to do a simple thing in CSS I have a header tag and inside that a couple of h tags. So, in order to have a responsive design I do height:auto; inside the header tag, so it will automatically stretch to contain the h tags. Right? But does not work, headeris just a line in the top of the page. t should stretch to contain the titles, right? What am I missing? Is it a good practice to put CSS in the h tags and not style header at all? So h tags will be like the header in user's eye? Thanks in advence Check it here

  • Silverlight "Out of browser application" vs. "Install from page"

    I’ve been working on integrating some controls which call in to COM classes in to a Silverlight client. Since my controls use COM, they only work out of browser. The client does have out of browser installation options turned on, and when I launch the client from visual studio, I can right click it, and install it to the desktop. That all seems to be working fine. The strange part though is that my controls don’t work when they’re out of browser – I get an error that the COM server can’t be started. The stranger part is that if I go in to the clientproperties, and set the Start Action from “Dynamically generate a test page” to “Out of browser application”, my controls work fine, and I get no COM errors. So I guess I don’t understand the difference between installing the application to the desktop through the right click menu and setting the application to start as an out of browser application. Any idea what's going on here?

  • Printing contents of a dynamically created iframe from parent window

    I have a page with a list of links and a div which serves as a placeholder for the pages the links lead to. Everytime user clicks on a link an iframe is created in the div and its src attribute gets the value of the link href attribute - simple and clear, sort of external web pages gallery. What i do have a problem with is printing the contents of the iframe. To do this i use this code: function PrintIframe() { frames["name"].focus(); frames["name"].print(); } The issue seems to be that iframe is created dynamically by JQuery - when I insert an iframe right into the html code, the browser prints the external page all right. But with the same code injected by JavaScript nothing happens. I tried to use JQ 1.3 'live' event on "Print" link, no success. Is there a way to overcome this?

It's a little above my array manipulation skills. Further, each dataset holds a key = value pair describing the 'css-selector-group' that the 'css-rule' should blong to, and a key = value pair describing a 'rule-group' that should be used for structuring the rendering of the final css into a neat css code block arranged by the kind of properties they describe (colors, measurement, typography etc..)     I want to insert equations into Word 2010. I'm inserting the center-aligned equations and then want to add a number to the same line, which will be aligned to the right hand side of the page. I'm having a problem with setting the alignment of the number to the right with equation aligned to center.   • Querying results on timestamp in mysql

    Hi, I have series of records in a table called 'hits' and each record has the current_timestamp (ie. 2010-04-30 10:11:30) in a column called 'current_time'. What I would like to do is query these records and return only the records from the current month. I cannot seem to get this to work. I have tried a range of queries that don't work such as - Select * FROM hits WHERE MONTH(FROM_UNIXTIME(current_time)) = 4 I don't know if I am even on the right lines!   • How do I swap triangle icons when doing expanding/collapsing divs with Javascript/CSS

    I have a div that I want to toggle between displaying or not when a user clicks on a piece of text. I have a javascript function that toggles a div on or off. That works fine. What I don't know how to do is to have a triangle that points to the right or down depending on whether the div is open. My HTML looks like this: <a onclick="toggleDiv('myDiv');">Click here to expand or close div</a> <div id="myDiv" style="display:none"> ... </div> How do I add one of those triangles and have it point the right way, ideally with just HTML, Javascript, and CSS? The triangle would appear to the left of the "Click here..." string. Thanks.

    I've been looking for that 2 days long and haven't found anything related to it. I'll give an example for my goal. Let's say I have 2 images positioned side by side horizontally. I want the user to be able to switch their positions onlongtouch listener. so let's say that the first image was on the left and the second was on the right side, after switching positions between them, the first image would be in the right and the second would be on the left side. Basically, it is just like in the launcher where you can switch apps positions. Please, if anything is not clear for you, I would like to know, and I'll try to explain it better, thank you.

  • iPhone SDK: Keep an image from scrolling with a UIScrollView

    Hi, I've been searching all over for an easy way to do this. Right now I have a UIScrollView setup as my main view. There's an Image on the left and a column of TextFields on the right. When any TextField is tapped, the keyboard comes up and hides the bottom TextField. So I have the ScrollView move up to unhide the bottom TextField. Question #1: Is there a way to have it respond to a specific TextField instead of all of them? Question #2: Is there a way to keep the Image on the left static so it doesn't move with the TextFields?   • What is the best place to store globals in Rails app?

I was wondering if there is the best practice on where to store global settings in a rails app. What I mean by that is i.e: I have a few globals defined that may change, but not likely and it seems inappropriate to store them in DB since they are used so much. For instance I have SYSTEM_EMAIL & SYSTEM_EMAIL_SIGNATURE & SYSTEM_STORAGE_ROOT. Right now I keep them in environment.rb, but I'm not sure if this is the right palce to store them. Thank you
