  • How to install DBD::mysql on OS X Server 10.6?

    - by Zoran Simic
Trying to install DBD::mysql on OS X Server 10.6 (mac mini server). But I'm missing the mysql headers apparently. Since mysql is already part of OS X Server 10.6, I would like to NOT install anything else (no fink or darwin ports installs), just whatever's needed to get DBD::mysql installed and working. Do you know how I could do that? Do I have to install the headers somewhere? And if so, where? (again: I don't want to install another version of mysql on the box, want to use the version it came with). Is there a way to install DBD::mysql without compiling any C files? This is the error I get (the actual error is much longer, but these are the most meaningful bits, this is the first error reported). Checking if your kit is complete... • How to isolate a single element from a scraped web page in R

    - by PaulHurleyuk
Hello, I'm trying to do soemone a favour, and it's a tad outside my comfort zone, so I'm stuck. I want to use R to scrape this page (http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/archive/germany2006/results/matches/match=97410001/report.html ) and others, to get the goal scorers and times. So far, this is what I've got require(RCurl) require(XML) theURL <-"http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/archive/germany2006/results/matches/match=97410001/report.html" webpage <- getURL(theURL, header=FALSE, verbose=TRUE) webpagecont <- readLines(tc <- textConnection(webpage)); close(tc) pagetree <- htmlTreeParse(webpagecont, error=function(...){}, useInternalNodes = TRUE) and the pagetree object now contains a pointer to my parsed html (I think). The part I want is <div class="cont")<ul> <div class="bold medium">Goals scored</div> <li>Philipp LAHM (GER) 6', </li> <li>Paulo WANCHOPE (CRC) 12', </li> <li>Miroslav KLOSE (GER) 17', </li> <li>Miroslav KLOSE (GER) 61', </li> <li>Paulo WANCHOPE (CRC) 73', </li> <li>Torsten FRINGS (GER) 87'</li> </ul></div> but I'm now lost as to how to isolate them, and frankly xpathSApply, xpathApply confuse the beejeebies out of me !. So, does anyone know how to fomulate a command to suck out the element conmtaiend within the tags ? Thanks Paul.

  • Entity framework memory leak after detaching newly created object

    - by Tom Peplow
Hi, Here's a test: WeakReference ref1; WeakReference ref2; TestRepositoryEntitiesContainer context; int i = 0; using (context = GetContext<TestRepositoryEntitiesContainer>()) { context.ObjectMaterialized += (o, s) => i++; var item = context.SomeEntities.Where(e => e.SomePropertyToLookupOn == "some property").First(); context.Detach(item); ref1 = new WeakReference(item); var newItem = new SomeEntity {SomePropertyToLookupOn = "another value"}; context.SomeEntities.AddObject(newItem); ref2 = new WeakReference(newItem); context.SaveChanges(); context.SomeEntities.Detach(newItem); newItem = null; item = null; } context = null; GC.Collect(); Assert.IsFalse(ref1.IsAlive); Assert.IsFalse(ref2.IsAlive); First assert passes, second fails... I hope I'm missing something, it is late... But it appears that detaching a fetched item will actually release all handles on the object letting it be collected. However, for new objects something keeps a pointer and creates a memory leak. NB - this is EF 4.0 Anyone seen this before and worked around it? Thanks for your help! Tom

  • What would cause native gem extensions on OS X to build but fail to load?

    - by goodmike
I am having trouble with some of my rubygems, in particular those that use native extensions. I am on a MacBookPro, with Snow Leopard. I have XCode 3.2.1 installed, with gcc 4.2.1. Ruby 1.8.6, because I'm lazy and a scaredy cat and don't want to upgrade yet. Ruby is running in 32-bit mode. I built this ruby from scratch when my MBP ran OSX 10.4. When I require one of the affected gems in irb, I get a Load Error for the gem extension's bundle file. For example, here's nokogigi dissing me: > require 'rubygems' = true > require 'nokogiri' LoadError: Failed to load /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/nokogiri-1.4.1/lib/nokogiri/nokogiri.bundle This is also happening with the Postgres pg and MongoDB mongo gems. My first thought was that the extensions must not be building right. But gem install wasn't throwing any errors. So I reinstalled with the verbose flag, hoping to see some helpful warnings. I've put the output in a Pastie, and the only warning I see is a consistent one about "passing argument n of ‘foo’ with different width due to prototype." I suspect that this might be an issue from upgrading to Snow Leopard, but I'm a little surprised to experience it now, since I've updated my XCode. Could it stem from running Ruby in 1.8.6? I'm embarrassed that I don't know quite enough about my Mac and OSX to know where to look next, so any guidance, even just a pointer to some document I couldn't find via Google, would be most welcome. • How to use boost::bind with non-copyable params, for example boost::promise ?

    - by zhengxi
    Some C++ objects have no copy constructor, but have move constructor. For example, boost::promise. How can I bind those objects using their move constructors ? #include <boost/thread.hpp> void fullfil_1(boost::promise<int>& prom, int x) { prom.set_value(x); } boost::function<void()> get_functor() { // boost::promise is not copyable, but movable boost::promise<int> pi; // compilation error boost::function<void()> f_set_one = boost::bind(&fullfil_1, pi, 1); // compilation error as well boost::function<void()> f_set_one = boost::bind(&fullfil_1, std::move(pi), 1); // PS. I know, it is possible to bind a pointer to the object instead of // the object itself. But it is weird solution, in this case I will have // to take cake about lifetime of the object instead of delegating that to // boost::bind (by moving object into boost::function object) // // weird: pi will be destroyed on leaving the scope boost::function<void()> f_set_one = boost::bind(&fullfil_1, boost::ref(pi), 1); return f_set_one; }

  • Should I release NSString before assigning a new value to it?

    - by Elliot Chen
Hi, Please give me some suggestions about how to change a NSString variable. At my class, I set a member var: NSString *m_movieName; ... @property(nonatomic, retain) NSString *m_movieName; At viewDidLoad method, I assign a default name to this var: -(void)viewDidLoad{ NSString *s1 = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"Forrest Gump"]; self.m_movieName = s1; ... [s1 release]; [super viewDidLoad] } At some function, I want to give a new name to this var, so I did like: -(void)SomeFunc{ NSString *s2 = [[NSString alloc] initWithFormat:@"Brave Heart"]; //[self.movieName release]; // ??????? Should perform here? self.m_moiveName = s2; [s2 release]; } I know, NSString* var is just a pointer to an allocated memory block, and 'assign' operation will increment this memory block's using count. For my situation, should I release m_movieName before assigning a value to it? If I do not release it (via [self.movieName release]), when and where will the previous block be released? Thanks for your help very much!

  • Do overlays work correctly in Emacs for Windows?

    - by Cheeso
I'm using Flymake on C# code, emacs v22.2.1 on Windows. The Flymake stuff has been working well for me. For those who don't know, you can read an overview of flymake, but the quick story is that flymake repeatedly builds the source file you are currently working on in the background, for the purpose of doing syntax checking. It then highlights the compiler warnings and erros in the current buffer. Flymake didn't work for C# initially, but I "monkey-patched it" and it works nicely now. If you edit C# in emacs, I highly recommend using flymake. The only problem I have is with the UI. Flymake highlights the errors and warnings nicely, and then inserts "overlays" with the full error or warning text. IF I hover the mouse pointer over the highlighted line in code, the overlay pops up. But as you can see, the overlay is truncated, and it doesn't display correctly. Flymake seems to be doing the right thing, it's the overlay part that seems broken. Do overlays work correctly in emacs for Windows? Where do I look to fix this?

  • jQuery accordion - different image for active sections

Hi, I'm using Ryan Stemkoski's "Stupid Simple Jquery Accordion Menu" which is available here: stemkoski.com/stupid-simple-jquery-accordion-menu/ Here is the javascript $(document).ready(function() { //ACCORDION BUTTON ACTION (ON CLICK DO THE FOLLOWING) $('.accordionButton').click(function() { //REMOVE THE ON CLASS FROM ALL BUTTONS $('.accordionButton').removeClass('on'); //NO MATTER WHAT WE CLOSE ALL OPEN SLIDES $('.accordionContent').slideUp('normal'); //IF THE NEXT SLIDE WASN'T OPEN THEN OPEN IT if($(this).next().is(':hidden') == true) { //ADD THE ON CLASS TO THE BUTTON $(this).addClass('on'); //OPEN THE SLIDE $(this).next().slideDown('normal'); } }); /*** REMOVE IF MOUSEOVER IS NOT REQUIRED ***/ //ADDS THE .OVER CLASS FROM THE STYLESHEET ON MOUSEOVER $('.accordionButton').mouseover(function() { $(this).addClass('over'); //ON MOUSEOUT REMOVE THE OVER CLASS }).mouseout(function() { $(this).removeClass('over'); }); /*** END REMOVE IF MOUSEOVER IS NOT REQUIRED ***/ /******************************************************************************************************************** CLOSES ALL S ON PAGE LOAD ********************************************************************************************************************/ $('.accordionContent').hide(); }); and the CSS #wrapper { width: 800px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; } .accordionButton { width: 800px; float: left; _float: none; /* Float works in all browsers but IE6 */ background: #003366; border-bottom: 1px solid #FFFFFF; cursor: pointer; } .accordionContent { width: 800px; float: left; _float: none; /* Float works in all browsers but IE6 */ background: #95B1CE; } /*********************************************************************************************************************** EXTRA STYLES ADDED FOR MOUSEOVER / ACTIVE EVENTS ************************************************************************************************************************/ .on { background: #990000; } .over { background: #CCCCCC; } There is an "on" class which allows the style of the accordionButton class when it is active but I would like to be able to have each active accordionButton class have a different image. http://www.thepool.ie For example, in the above site the word "WORK" should be a darker grey image when the work section is selected, so should COLLAB when it is selected etc. I can't figure out how to do this, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Andrew

  • Valgrind says "stack allocation," I say "heap allocation"

Dear Friends, I am trying to trace a segfault with valgrind. • Receiving an object in a unmanaged callback function

    - by Daniel Baulig
Eg. I have following delegate method I want to use as a callback function with unmanaged code: public delegate void Callback(IntPtr myObject); Callback callback; I register it in the following way: [DllImport("a.dll")] public static void registerCallback(IntPtr callbackFunction, IntPtr anObject); // ... this.myObject = new MyClass(); this.objectPin = GCHandle.Alloc(this.myObject, GCHandleType.Pinned); registerCallback(Marshal.GetFunctionPointerForDelegate(callback), objectPin.AddrOfPinnedObject()); Now whenever the callback function is called it will have a Pointer/Handle of an object of the MyClass class. I could use Marshal.PtrToStructure to convert this to an object of MyClass. However, what I would like to have is that the delegate definition already contains the class MyClass. eg.: public delegate void Callback(MyClass myObject); I tried this, but it will not work. I also tried the following, which did not work: public delegate void Callback([MarshalAs(UnmanagedType.IUnknown)]MyClass myObject); I suppose I would need something like "UnmarshalAs" at this point, but sadly this is not available. Any suggestions how I could get lost of that IntPtr in my callback function and get a it packed up as a regular, managed MyClass object?

  • Is a red-black tree my ideal data structure?

    - by Hugo van der Sanden
I have a collection of items (big rationals) that I'll be processing. In each case, processing will consist of removing the smallest item in the collection, doing some work, and then adding 0-2 new items (which will always be larger than the removed item). The collection will be initialised with one item, and work will continue until it is empty. I'm not sure what size the collection is likely to reach, but I'd expect in the range 1M-100M items. I will not need to locate any item other than the smallest. I'm currently planning to use a red-black tree, possibly tweaked to keep a pointer to the smallest item. However I've never used one before, and I'm unsure whether my pattern of use fits its characteristics well. 1) Is there a danger the pattern of deletion from the left + random insertion will affect performance, eg by requiring a significantly higher number of rotations than random deletion would? Or will delete and insert operations still be O(log n) with this pattern of use? 2) Would some other data structure give me better performance, either because of the deletion pattern or taking advantage of the fact I only ever need to find the smallest item? Update: glad I asked, the binary heap is clearly a better solution for this case, and as promised turned out to be very easy to implement. Hugo

  • Delphi - working with dll's for beginners

    - by doubleu
Hi there, I'm a total newbie regarding to DLL. And I don't need to creat them I just need to use one. I've read some tutorials, but they weren't as helpful as I hoped. Here's the way I started: I've downloaded the SDK which I need to use (ESTOS Tapi Server). I read in the docs and spotted out the DLL which I need to use, which is the ENetSN.dll, and so I registered it. Next I've used the Dependency Walker to take a look at the DLL - and I was wondering because there are only these functions: DllCanUnloadNow, DllGetClassObject, DllRegisterServer and DllUnregisterServer, and these are not the functions mentioned in the docs. I think I have to call DllGetClassObject to get an object out of the DLL with which I can start to work. Unfortunately the tutorials I found doesn't mentioned how this is done (or I didn't understood it). There are also 3 exmaples delivered for VB and C++, but I wasn't able to 'translate' them into delphi. If somebody knows a tutorial where this is explained or could give me a pointer to the right direcetion, I would be very thankful .

  • CSS buttons and crossbrowser issue

    I have a class 'button' that I want to use for button, input and a tags. The problem is that both button and input tags have a greater line height than the anchor tag does. I have attached an example here so you can play around with it in firebug or whatever. http://28dev.com/stackoverflow/css-buttons.html But for those who just want to see the css/html, here it is: .button { font-family : helvetica, arial, sans-serif; -moz-border-radius: 3px; -webkit-border-radius: 3px; background : url(/images/ui-bg_glass_75_e6e6e6_1x400.png) repeat-x scroll 50% 50% #E6E6E6; border-color : #636363 #888888 #888888 #636363; border-right : 1px solid #888888; border-style : solid; border-width : 1px; cursor : pointer; display : block; float : left; font-size : 12px; font-weight : normal; line-height : 100%; min-width : 100px; padding : 3px 12px; text-align : center; } .button, .button a { color : #282828; text-decoration : none; } .button:hover, .button:hover a { border-color : #343434; color : #080808; } .marginR { margin-right : 5px; } <button class='button marginR' type='submit'>button.button</button> <input type="submit" value="input.button" class="button marginR" /> <a class="button" href="">a.button</a>

The problem is that I cannot figure out how to get the callback function to set a value outside of itself (please note that references to the Bit.ly API and the prototype.js frame work which are required have been left out due to login and apiKey information): CURRENTLY WORKING CODE var setShortUrl = function(data) { var resultOBJ, myURL; for(x in data.results){resultOBJ = data.results[x];} for(key in resultOBJ){if(key == "shortUrl"){myURL = resultOBJ[key];}} alert(myURL); } BitlyClient.shorten('http://www.thinkgeek.com', 'setShortUrl'); PROPOSED CHANGES var setShortUrl = function(data) { var resultOBJ, myURL; for(x in data.results){resultOBJ = data.results[x];} for(key in resultOBJ){if(key == "shortUrl"){myURL = resultOBJ[key];}} alert(myURL); return myURL; } var myTEST = BitlyClient.shorten('http://www.thinkgeek.com', 'setShortUrl'); alert(myTEST); As you can see this doesn't work the way I'm am expecting. If I could get a pointer in the right direction it would be most appreciated. Thanks, MT

  • PInvokeStackImbalance -- C# with offreg.dll ( windows ddk7 )

    - by user301185
I am trying to create an offline registry in memory using the offreg.dll provided in the windows ddk 7 package. You can find out more information on the offreg.dll here: MSDN Currently, while attempted to create the hive using ORCreateHive, I receive the following error: "Managed Debugging Assistant 'PInvokeStackImbalance' has detected a problem. This is likely because the managed PInvoke signature does not match the unmanaged target signature. Check that the calling convention and parameters of the PInvoke signature match the target unmanaged signature." Here is the offreg.h file containing ORCreateHive: typedef PVOID ORHKEY; typedef ORHKEY *PORHKEY; VOID ORAPI ORGetVersion( __out PDWORD pdwMajorVersion, __out PDWORD pdwMinorVersion ); DWORD ORAPI OROpenHive ( __in PCWSTR lpHivePath, __out PORHKEY phkResult ); DWORD ORAPI ORCreateHive ( __out PORHKEY phkResult ); DWORD ORAPI ORCloseHive ( __in ORHKEY Handle ); The following is my C# code attempting to call the .dll and create the pointer for future use. using System.Runtime.InteropServices; namespace WindowsFormsApplication6 { public partial class Form1 : Form { public Form1() { InitializeComponent(); } [DllImport("offreg.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Auto, EntryPoint = "ORCreateHive", SetLastError=true, CallingConvention = CallingConvention.StdCall)] public static extern IntPtr ORCreateHive2(); private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { try { IntPtr myHandle = ORCreateHive2(); } catch (Exception r) { MessageBox.Show(r.ToString()); } } } } I have been able to create pointers in the past with no issue utilizing user32.dll, icmp.dll, etc. However, I am having no such luck with offreg.dll. Thank you.

  • Toggling list image and expand all jquery accordion w/ unordered lists

    - by Evan
I have a functioning jquery accordion using pure unordered lists. I'm trying to incorporate 2 pieces of functionality. Here is my functioning accordion code and a demo of it working. http://jsbin.com/itibi4/ Toggling Arrows. i'm tring to get the parent bullets to be a toggling arrow and point down when clicked while the child bullets stay as bullets instead of an arrow. Would I be able to get some help with this? .inactive { background-image:url("http://img547.imageshack.us/img547/4103/arrowp.gif"); background-position:4px -31px; background-repeat:no-repeat; cursor:pointer; padding-left:20px; padding-top:10px; } .active { background-image: url("http://img547.imageshack.us/img547/4103/arrowp.gif"); background-position: 4px 12px; background-repeat:no-repeat; font-weight:bold; } Expand All / Collapse All also, i'm trying to incorporate an expand all / collapse all functionality. this is code to the same demo the code is from a previous project, which i've added below the unordered list menu, but i'm having difficulty incorporating it into this project. Would I be able to get some help with this? $('.swap').click(function() { if($(this).text() == 'Click to Collapse All FAQs') { $('ul.menu').slideUp('normal'); $('ul.menu li a').removeClass('active'); $(this).text($(this).text() == 'Click to Expand All FAQs' ? 'Click to Collapse All FAQs' : 'Click to Expand All FAQs'); } else { $('ul.menu').slideDown('normal'); $('ul.menu li a').addClass('active'); $(this).text($(this).text() == 'Click to Expand All FAQs' ? 'Click to Collapse All FAQs' : 'Click to Expand All FAQs'); } } Thank you so much for your help! Evan

  • Passing row from UIPickerView to integer CoreData attribute

    - by Gordon Fontenot
I'm missing something here, and feeling like an idiot about it. I'm using a UIPickerView in my app, and I need to assign the row number to a 32-bit integer attribute for a Core Data object. To do this, I am using this method: -(void)pickerView:(UIPickerView *)pickerView didSelectRow:(NSInteger)row inComponent:(NSInteger)component { object.integerValue = row; } This is giving me a warning: warning: passing argument 1 of 'setIntegerValue:' makes pointer from integer without a cast What am I mixing up here? --EDIT 1-- Ok, so I can get rid of the errors by changing the method to do the following: NSNumber *number = [NSNumber numberWithInteger:row]; object.integerValue = rating; However, I still get a value of 0 for object.integerValue if I use NSLog to print it out. object.integerValue has a max value of 5, so I print out number instead, and then I'm getting a number above 62,000,000. Which doesn't seem right to me, since there are 5 rows. If I NSLog the row variable, I get a number between 0 and 5. So why do I end up with a completely different number after casting the number to NSNumber?

  • Malloc inside another function (ANSI C)

    - by Casper
Hi I'll go straight to it. I'm working on an assignment, where I suddenly ran into trouble. I have to allocate a struct from within another function, obviously using pointers. I've been staring at this problem for hours and tried in a million different ways to solve it. This is some sample code (very simplified): ... some_struct s; printf("Before: %d\n", &s"); allocate(&s); printf("After: %d\n", &s"); ... /* The allocation function */ int allocate(some_struct *arg) { arg = malloc(sizeof(some_struct)); printf("In function: %d\n", &arg"); return 0; } This does give me the same address before and after the allocate-call: Before: -1079752900 In function: -1079752928 After: -1079752900 I know it's probably because it makes a copy in the function, but I don't know how to actually work on the pointer I gave as argument. I tried defining some_struct *s instead of some_struct s, but no luck. I tried with: int allocate(some_struct **arg) which works just fine (the allocate-function needs to be changed as well), BUT according to the assignment I may NOT change the declaration, and it HAS to be *arg.. And it would be most correct if I just have to declare some_struct s.. Not some_struct *s. I hope I make sense and some of you out there can help me :P Thanks in advice

  • malloc works, cudaHostAlloc segfaults?

    - by Mikhail
I am new to CUDA and I want to use cudaHostAlloc. I was able to isolate my problem to this following code. Using malloc for host allocation works, using cudaHostAlloc results in a segfault, possibly because the area allocated is invalid? When I dump the pointer in both cases it is not null, so cudaHostAlloc returns something... works in_h = (int*) malloc(length*sizeof(int)); //works for (int i = 0;i<length;i++) in_h[i]=2; doesn't work cudaHostAlloc((void**)&in_h,length*sizeof(int),cudaHostAllocDefault); for (int i = 0;i<length;i++) in_h[i]=2; //segfaults Standalone Code #include <stdio.h> void checkDevice() { cudaDeviceProp info; int deviceName; cudaGetDevice(&deviceName); cudaGetDeviceProperties(&info, deviceName); if (!info.deviceOverlap) { printf("Compute device can't use streams and should be discared."); exit(EXIT_FAILURE); } } int main() { checkDevice(); int *in_h; const int length = 10000; cudaHostAlloc((void**)&in_h,length*sizeof(int),cudaHostAllocDefault); printf("segfault comming %d\n",in_h); for (int i = 0;i<length;i++) { in_h[i]=2; } free(in_h); return EXIT_SUCCESS; } ~ Invocation [id129]$ nvcc fun.cu [id129]$ ./a.out segfault comming 327641824 Segmentation fault (core dumped) Details Program is run in interactive mode on a cluster. • Does height and width not apply to span?

    - by Kyle Sevenoaks
Total noob question, but here. CSS .product__specfield_8_arrow { /*background-image:url(../../upload/orng_bg_arrow.png); background-repeat:no-repeat;*/ background-color:#fc0; width:50px !important; height:33px !important; border: 1px solid #dddddd; border-left:none; border-radius:5px; -moz-border-radius:5px; -webkit-border-radius:5px; border-bottom-left-radius:0px; border-top-left-radius:0px; -moz-border-radius-bottomleft:0px; -moz-border-radius-topleft:0px; -webkit-border-bottom-left-radius:0px; -webkit-border-top-left-radius:0px; margin:0; padding:2px; cursor:pointer; }??? HTML <span class="product__specfield_8_arrow">&nbsp;</span>? Fiddle Basically I'm trying to emulate a button, make a span (or something) look like a button next to an input field that actually doesn't need to be one because of an auto fill generator that generates errors onEnter. Thought this'd be a quick fix for now but obviously not. Thanks.

However, under VC6, I will experience an immediate crash with the following message. Debug Assertion Failed! • Embedded non-relational (nosql) data store

    - by Igor Brejc
I'm thinking about using/implementing some kind of an embedded key-value (or document) store for my Windows desktop application. I want to be able to store various types of data (GPS tracks would be one example) and of course be able to query this data. The amount of data would be such that it couldn't all be loaded into memory at the same time. I'm thinking about using sqlite as a storage engine for a key-value store, something like y-serial, but written in .NET. I've also read about FriendFeed's usage of MySQL to store schema-less data, which is a good pointer on how to use RDBMS for non-relational data. sqlite seems to be a good option because of its simplicity, portability and library size. My question is whether there are any other options for an embedded non-relational store? It doesn't need to be distributable and it doesn't have to support transactions, but it does have to be accessible from .NET and it should have a small download size. UPDATE: I've found an article titled SQLite as a Key-Value Database which compares sqlite with Berkeley DB, which is an embedded key-value store library.

  • algorithm || method to write prog

    - by fatai
I am one of the computer science student. My wonder is everyone solve problem with different or same method, but actually I dont know whether they use method or I dont know whether there are such common method to approach problem. All teacher give us problem which in simple form sometimes, but they dont introduce any approach or method(s) so that we can first choose method then apply that one to problem , afterward find solution then write code. I have found one method when I failed the course, More accurately, When I counter problem in language , I will get more paper and then ; first, input/ output step ; my prog will take this / these there argument(s) and return namely X , ex : in c, input length is not known and at same type , so I must use pointer desired output is in form of package , so use structure second, execution part ; in that step , I am writing all step which are goes to final output ex : in python ; 1.) [ + , [- , 4 , [ * , 1 , 2 ]], 5] 2.) [ + , [- , 4 , 2 ],5 ] 3.) [ + , 2 , 5] 4.) 7 ==> return 7 third, I will write test code ex : in c++ input : append 3 4 5 6 vector_x remove 0 1 desired output vector_x holds : 5 6 But now, I wonder other method ; used to construct class :::: for c++ , python, java used to communicate classes / computers used for solving embedded system problem ::::: for c Why I wonder , because I learn if you dont costruct algorithm on paper, you may achieve your goal. Like no money no lunch , I can say no algorithm no prog therefore , feel free when you write your own method , a way which is introduced by someone else but you are using and you find it is so efficient

  • Windows Task Scheduler: IAction.QueryInterface() returns an error I cannot find a definition for

    - by Sascha
Hello I am attempting to schedule a task (to open an .exe at a specific time) using C++ win32. But at one specific point I am getting an error, I have searched & searched to try & find the definition of this error but I cannot find it? Do you know what this error means: Hexadecimal: 80004003 Decimal: 2147500035 I wont post the whole function because its rather long (unless you may need it to determine the error context?). The code I am using (that causes the error) is the following: // QI for the executable task pointer. hr = action -> QueryInterface( IID_IExecAction, (void**) execAction ); action -> Release(); if( FAILED(hr) ) { printf("QueryInterface call failed for IExecAction: %x %X %u \n", hr, hr, hr ); rootFolder -> Release(); task -> Release(); CoUninitialize(); return false; } The output is: QueryInterface call failed for IExecAction: 80004003 80004003 2147500035
