  • How to filter SVN changes in Hudson's POLL SCM?

    We're using Hudson on an SVN repository that hosts a number of projects. One of these projects takes a long time to build, even if no files were changed. Right now Hudson's "Poll SVN" detects that the subversion repository has changed and will try to build the project, even if that change was in a different project. Is there a way to set up "Poll SCM" to only respond to changes in a certain branch?

  • iPhone CoreData Migration and modifying data

    I have an app that has both static data and user entered data in the CoreData store. I understand how to do a lightweight migration to a new database version, but how to I add or modify the static data without affecting the users data? If I have 50 static data entries to add and a couple to modify (ie. spelling mistakes) should they be stored in a different sqlite db and copied over? Also, is it possible to look at the version of the data store so that this copy only happens the first time the app is started up after upgrading? Sorry for the general noob type question, but this is the first time I have ever had to deal with this sort of issue. Thanks, Scott

As we can see from the picture with the suggestion of all the different return data the user can get confused and choose wrong return data for some of the methods. So my question is how can i improve this. so Visual studio suggest just the belonging return data type for each method.

  • CruiseControl.NET Silverlight Unit Tests Interact with Desktop Windows Server 2008

    Hi, Currently we have CCService running as a Domain account because the build scripts deploy to a network location. However this causes any unit tests that test the view to fail. Due to not being allowed to interact with desktop. I can change the CCService to run as local system which works however i loose network connectivity. I also have tried setting up a /interactive cmd.exe but this has been deprecated in Windows Server 2008. Any Ideas on this one? Thanks Jeremy

    Hi, in a webapp I'm building there is a planned side feature of supporting product illustrations and manuals (so pictures and PDFs), possibly arranged in galleries. As I'd rather not implement from scratch all of the uploading, managing and serving of this content, I'm looking for existing solutions which I could integrate. For example, I'm considering Flickr--users of webapp specify their Flickr username and then use some naming convention to link objects in my webapp with pictures uploaded in their Flickr account. Very little code to write from my side, maybe just some API calls that proxy Flickr APIs, since Flickr would handle picture uploading, organizing them in sets, storing them in cloud and serving them in various sizes etc. One drawback here is that either all of the the pictures are public or I have to deal with interactive Flickr authorization. Also not sure if Flickr would be happy being used in such manner. What other online services or libraries/frameworks I should look at? My webapp is written in Python/Pylons, so Python libraries would be preferred. I'm already using some of Amazon infrastructure, so frontends to Amazon S3 would be cool. For online services, RESTful API would be nice.

  • Stop MSVC++ debug errors from blocking the current process?

    Any failed ASSERT statements on Windows cause the below debug message to appear and freeze the applications execution. I realise this is expected behaviour but it is running periodically on a headless machine so prevent the unit tests from failing, instead waiting on user input indefinitely. Is there s a registry key or compiler flag I can use to prevent this message box from requesting user input whilst still allowing the test to fail under ASSERT? Basically, I want to do this without modifying any code, just changing compiler or Windows options. Thanks!

  • Is it possible to integrate user databases between Drupal and an ASP&SQL Server platform?

    We have a game project designed on ASP&SQL Server, and we need to integrate it's user database with Drupal. This would be easier from Project to Drupal (since there is user_save and user_delete functions available globally by using drupal bootstrap) but I'm not sure if we can execute PHP functions on an ASP platform. Is there any documentation for this kind of problems? What do you suggest?

    Hello. I have a TileList which represents some remote data. I also have a form which allows me to change the data. And the data may be changed by someone else too. What is the best way to maintain data in the list in an up-to-date state? The simplest option I see is the following: Select an item in the list Edit it in the form Save it. The form submits the data to the server When the server reports success the list re-fetches it's data The very bad thing about this workflow is that the list loses selection (a tree would also loose the nodes' expanded/collapsed state). I would really love to find out another option which would enable the list to maintain it's selection state. Any guesses on how it may be done?

  • Starting jetty with spring xml as a background process/thread

    My goal is to set up a jetty test server and inject a custom servlet to test some REST classes in my project. I was able to launch the server with spring xml and run tests against that server. The issue I'm having is sometimes after the server started, the process stopped at the point before running the tests. It seems jetty didn't go to background. It works every time on my computer. But when I deployed to my CI server, it doesn't work. It also doesn't work when I'm on VPN. (Strange.) The server should be completed initialized as when the tests stuck, I was able to access the server using a browser. One with this date is "file_name", and I want to save this value in controller at variable. I try with: $image_name= $data['file_name']; But this not working. I use CodeIginter 2.1.3 framework.     I need to display (tier) prices based on the qty increments of a product. E.g. a simple product, with a regular price of 50¢, no taxes and qty increments of 20 should be displayed on product views with "$10 per 20". Without using taxes this should be quite easy. But there seems to be no "default" helper or model to do this with taxes enabled and different calulation algorithms (e.g. Mage_Tax_Model_Calculation::CALC_UNIT_BASE); expect for quotes in Mage_Tax_Model_Sales_Total_Quote_Tax and Mage_Tax_Model_Sales_Total_Quote_Subtotal. Did I miss something here, or do I have to write the business logic on my own? And how I would best encapsulate it?

I thought at one point I could create a Select Statement to build my custom data and use that as the datasource for my Insert Into statement. i.e. something like INSERT INTO MyCustomData (ColumnKey, Column1, Column2) From (Select Top 50000 Row_Count(), 'Custom Data 1', 'Custom Data 2') I know this doesn't work, but its the only thing I can show that seems to provide an example of what I'm after. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

    Hello, I have data coming in to a python server via a socket. Within this data is the string '<port>80</port>' or which ever port is being used. I wish to extract the port number into a variable. The data coming in is not XML, I just used the tag approach to identifying data for future XML use if needed. I do not wish to use an XML python library, but simply use something like regexp and strings. What would you recommend is the best way to match and strip this data?     I have installed unixODBC from source and mysql-odbc connector from .dmg installer on Mac OSX Lion. This was done a while ago, and at that time I successfully installed a data source (let's call it foo). Now I am trying to add another data source (DSN). I've done this through both ODBC Manager and the command-line tool myodbc-installer given with the tar bundle of the mysql-odbc connector from the mysql website.     I would like to generate IPFIX data from the packets that are coming to my local system as part of experimentation. It seems ULogd is a good tool to do that. I am able to capture PCAP data. But there are very less documents available on ULogd2.x about IPFIX format data generation.(There are very few examples provided in ulogd.conf). Can you provide me any links that describes about how to generate IPFIX data using ulogd2.x? 1) What are the options available? I saw there is polling interval configuration. But I have no idea how does it work? 2) If I set hash_enable = 0, and uncomment the polling_interval value, I'm getting an exception as NFCT plugin requires hash table, evne though I have specified hash_buckets and hash_max_entries. Could you help on this? 3) In general, I would like to know how NFCT plugin works in ulogd2.x. I sent mail to ulogd mailing list, but there are no replies. Could you shed some light?

  • SQL 2008 Replication corrupt data problem

    We took a SQL 2000 database. Took a lightspeed backup. Restored on SQL 2008 active/passive cluster. Then setup replication to replicate the data back to SQL 2000. So 2008 is the publisher/distributor, and 2000 is doing a pull subscription. Everything works well, execpt we occassionally get corrupt data in varchar/text fields on the subscriber. So for example we have a table with 4500 records. When we run this statement: update MedstaffProvider set Notes = 'Cell Phone: 360.123.4567 Answering Service: 360.123.9876' where LastName = 'smith' The record in the 2008 database is updated as expected. But in the subsriber datbase we'll get gibberish in the notes field: óPÌ[1] T $Oé[1] ð²ñ. K Here's what we know: This is repeatable, meaning we can run that same query all day long and get the same gibberish. If you alter update statement slightly the data gets replicated just fine. The collation on both databases is the same. So far we've only detected the problem with text/varchar fields. (The notes field above is text). Only one or two records in a table are impacted. The table structure looks identical in both 2000/2008. We haven't made any changes. We have found one solution that fixes the problem. Basically if we recreate the table in 2008 (say as MedStaffProvider2) and then insert all the data. Drop the original table. Rename the table to it's original name. Setup replication again. And run the exact same update statement it works as expected. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening here? Or are there any other techniques we can use to troubleshoot this? I've found a solution for this, but would really like to undertsand why this is happening.

  • How do you handle data archiving?

    Backups are one thing, but long term archival is another. For example, you might be required to store emails for 7 years, or keep all project data indefinitely. I used to save archives to tape, but then I've had tapes get destroyed (drives rip the tape out). So...write to 2 tapes I hear you say. Is that what others do? Have 2 (or more) tapes of the same data for redundancy? But then the other issue is that tapes cannot usually be read by different backup software vendors. Eg if you go from Arcserve - Backup Exec - Commvault over 10 years you would need to keep all 3 systems so that you could restore old data. Likewise for hardware. Old tapes might not be barcoded. Might not be compatible with the new library etc etc. So do you keep old tape hardware AND old software just in case you might need to restore a 10 year-old file? Or...when you move to a new backup system do you migrate all archived data to the new system and re-archive it onto new tapes? That could be a huge job. Any thoughts?

  • Accidentally mounted a ReiserFS drive as MBR on my windows box - how do I recover?

    I had a WD Netcenter with a 160GB drive that kept dropping off the network. I opened up the enclosure and removed the hard drive, connected to a Windows box without knowing the drive used ReiserFS.... When mounting on the Windows box, I chose "MBR" as filesystem. 70GB of data corrupted: 90% of data is word documents, excel spreadsheets, and jpg's - all mission critical. Attempted recovery on Linux box (ubuntu) using TestDisk: I could see the container, but couldn't get anything out – according to TestDisk this was because I chose "none" as filesystem. Attempted recovery using Nucleus Kernel Recovery for windows: 98% of what was recovered is incomplete and/or unusable. I need to know if a way exists to recover or rebuild original ReiserFS MBR, or what tools/techniques might give me the best results in recovering the data.
