• using sudo with mercurial and ssh authentication

  How do i run ssh-add key sudo hg clone [email protected]/etc/etc but use my ssh keys and not the superusers. Hey everyone, when i use sudo with for example, sudo hg clone [email protected]/etc/etc after i have added a key to my user account it doesnt work. I remember this is because the sudo is ran as the superuser but that user cannot have keys added to it. I remember setting some directive (im using debian) that allowed me to run that command as sudo, but still have my ssh keys taken from my normal user account but i didnt make a note of it at the time. • Returning a users lat lng as a string iPhone

  Is there a way to return the users location as a string from a model? I have a model thats job is to download same JSON data from a web service. When sending in my request I need to add ?lat=LAT_HERE&lng=LNG_HERE to the end of the string. I have seen tons of examples using the map or constantly updating a label. But I cant find out how to explicitly return the lat and lng values. Im only 2 days into iPhone dev so go easy on me :)

• Maven Grails web.xml

  Might be a stupid question, but in my current maven project i do not have a web.xml in my /web-app/WEB-INF folder. There is no web-xml in my project and never has been, im trying to add it but my application is non-responsive to anything written in the web.xml. What am i missing?, iv tried specifying the path to it through the config.groovy like: grails.project.web.xml="web-app/WEB-INF/web.xml" Am i missing something? Do i need to specify the web.xml in some other config file in order to make my project utilize it ?

  Hi, Im wondering how to parse a url into an URL object(of some kind) in C. So that I would be able to extract key/val objects from a querystring. And no, using sscanf, and regex is not an alternative. Saying, unless I have to write my own parser.. Would be greatful for any tips or help on where I could find this!

  there are plenty of frameworks for coding MVC web applications. this time im going to code a library (think of Doctrine or Solr) with a bunch of class files. u just include a bootstrap or a class file and you are ready to use my classes. i have never tried to code a library before and intend to code one for learning purpose so that i can use various design patterns i have learned. are there any great frameworks for this, how i should organize the different class files, where i can put configuration files and so on? tutorials or other information would be great too. thanks

  Im sorry if I havent done my research properly, - but couldnt find the answer I needed, so here goes: From my main page I open a new window using mainPlayer = window.open(); This window stays open until user clicks on a mainPlayer.close(); event. (or simply x closes the window) However, the idea is to make it possible to let the player keep playing, while browsing around the rest of the pages. But as soon as the user leaves the page that opened the mainPlayer window, the reference to the mainPlayer window seem to be lost. How do I, from the site's other pages, check if the mainPlayer window is open and close it on a click event? Thx John

  At the moment I have two (maybe more) unordered lists which are sortable with jquery and ui. The things that work are that the lists are connected, items are draggable, items can be removed and a form that adds to the list. What I need however is a function that gets all the content for li items and json encode them ready to be sent off to some db function, or something. Im new to jquery however and cant find documentation for li items. Hope Ive explained this well. Daniel

• SSRS doesn't honor the CanGrow Property when Exporting to Excel

  I have a Table in an SSRS report. one of the Table Cells contains the Descriptions of Parts in an order. these descriptions could vary in length and for that reson i have set the "CanGrow" Property to True. when i try to export the report to Excel im expecting that if the text length would exceed the width of the Cell then the height of the cell would grow and the whole text would be shown. Unfortunately the SSRS Excel Generator keeps the height as is and so only the part of the text which fits the width of the cell would be shown. i would appreciate any help or input to solve this problem. • Online Game programming in Google App Engine: AI

  I am currently in the planning stages of a game for google app engine, but cannot wrap my head around how I am going to handle AI. I intend to have persistant NPCs that will move about the map, but short of writing a program that generates the same XML requests I use to control player actions, than run it on another server I am stuck on how to do it. I have looked at the Task Queue feature, but due to long running processes not being an option on the App engine, I am a little stuck. I intend to run multiple server instances with 200+ persistant NPC entities that I will need to update. Most action is slowly roaming around based on player movements/concentrations, and attacking close range players(you can probably guess the type of game im developing)

• Symfony: Pre filtering submitted values before/after validation

  Hi All I've been scouring the net and i have found nothing! I am using symfonys form framework to build a simple 'Create' form. Validation is fine. However i'd like to pre-filter my submitted values, so adding ucfirst, strtoupper, and the like. I'm not sure if im missing something crucial here, but the way i see it is the only way to do this would be to create my own custom validators and utilizing the doClean method, which seems daft since i'd have hundreds of validators for each php function! Hope you guys can help, i've been crawling through source code, api's, numerous books and blogs and i haven't found a thing :( Either it's impossible, or it's really easy, i hope its the latter!

• Send custom data when initializing java WebService over soap

  Hello. I have a question about sending additional data over soap to the functions. My webService function requests only one integer, for example an getDocumentPrivilage(DocumentID). In another WebService user registered and he got an unique ID, so the other application can see who he is. So on Service one he registers, gets id and it has to send it to the other webservice tor the privilage. Id dont wish to rewrite the function so that it gets the unique ID (like this getDocumentPrivilage(uniqID,DocumentID)) but, the wish is that i would be able to create a client that sends this data at the initialization or somehow as some sort of parameter behind the function. Is this possible?? I tried the ServiceLifecycle but cant see any setting i've given in. Im using WebSphere CE for the server and Jax-ws Creating the webapp in java. • how can I split up this string

  I am currently trying to sanitize some log files so they are in an easier format to read, and have been trying to use the gnu cut command, which works fairly well, although I cannot really think of a good way to remove the [INFO] part of the string logs/logs/server_1283258036.log:2010-08-31 23:06:51 [INFO] <NateMar> where?! logs/logs/server_1281904775.log:2010-08-15 22:59:53 [INFO] <BoonTheMoon> §b<BoonTheMoon>§ohhhhhh I would ultimately want to get the strings down to something that resembles the following 2010-08-31 23:06:51 <NateMar> where?! 2010-08-15 22:59:53 <BoonTheMoon> ohhhhhh how should I go about doing this? Have thought about using awk, although Im having a difficult time getting a grip on how that would work, so not sure how to set up something to do that, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

• Sortable with scriptaculous problems

  hello, Im following a few tutorials to sort a list, but i can't get the DB to update. The drag drop side of things is working, also, i javascript alert() the serialize list onUpdate and the order is printed out as follows: images_list[]=20&images_list[]=19 etc...
