• SVN: Recurisvely add files?

  I'm trying svn add *.py --force As the documentation suggests, but I know for a fact it's missing files nested in deeper folders. Why? Is there a standard way to do this with other unix commands too? */*.py will nab a few more files, but it's kind of a pain in the butt to do this for every possible depth.

Is there a way to recursively loop through the files and gather up all of these file names into a .txt file? I am trying to use CreateProcess() (with an #ifdef for WINNT), but not sure how to setup the command line for the same.   Hi All I have a Text File (Sorry, I'm not allowed to work on XML files :(), and it includes customer records. Each text file looks like: Account_ID: 98734BLAH9873 User Name: something_85 First Name: ILove Last Name: XML Age: 209 etc... And I need to be able to use LINQ to get the data from these text files and just store them in memory. I have seen many Linq to SQL, Linq to BLAH but nothing for Linq to Text.   I have installed Windows7 on my computer, and I had to change all permissions/take ownership - which apparently "touched" all my files, and now everything appears to be "modified" (when I do "hg status"). Is there a command I can run so that I will either "commit" or "revert" all the files that have no actual change in them (i.e. text is unchanged, even if file attributes are changed).

• SQL Server: How to shrink FileStream files?

  For a project, I'm using a SQL Server 2008 R2. One table has a filestream column. I've made some load tests, and now the database has ~20GB used. I've empty tables, except several(configuration tables). But my database was still using a lot of space. So I used the Task -> Shrink -> Database / Files But my database is still using something like 16GB. I found that it's the filestream file is still using a lot of space. The problem is that I need to backup this database to export it on the final production server, and event if I indicate to compress the backup I got a file more than 3.5Go. Not convenient to store and upload. And I'm planning much bigger test, so I want to know how to shrink that empty space. When I'm trying: I get this exception: The properties SIZE, MAXSIZE, or FILEGROWTH cannot be specified for the FILESTREAM data file 'FileStreamFile'. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 5509) So what should I do? I found several topics with this error but they was about removing the filestream column.
