  Here is a snap of my database. Both col1 and col2 are declared as int. My ComputedColumn currently adds the Columns 1 and 2, as follows... col1 col2 ComputedColumn 1 2 3 4 1 5 Instead of this, my ComputedColumn should join the columns 1 and 2 (includimg the '-' character in the middle) as follows... col1 col2 ComputedColumn 1 2 1-2 4 1 4-1 So, what is the correct syntax?

  If I have two columns, one with very high cardinality and one with very low cardinality (unique # of values), does it matter in which order I group by? Here's an example: select dimensionName, dimensionCategory, sum(someFact) from SomeFact f join SomeDim d on f.dimensionKey = d.dimensionKey group by d.dimensionName, -- large number of unique values d.dimensionCategory -- small number of unique values Are there situations where it matters?

  I have a MS SQL Fulltext Function like this: (...) RETURNS TABLE AS RETURN SELECT * FROM fishes INNER JOIN CONTAINSTABLE(fishes, *, @keywords, @limit) AS KEY_TBL ON fishes.id = KEY_TBL.[KEY] When I use this function in LINQ, it generates a special return type which includes all fields of my "fishes" table, plus Key and Rank. How could I rewrite above query, or change something in LINQ, to omit Key and Rank and just return my "fishes" results (and to have the fulltext search result objects be of type Fish, which is what I really care about, so I don't have to cast)?

• SQL Server Constraints Across Tables

  I have a SQL Server database with an Apartment table (which has columns FloorNum and BuildingID) and an ApartmentBuilding table (with column NumFloors). Is there any way to set up a constraint (using the SQL Server UI) to check that Apartment.FloorNum is greater than ApartmentBuilding.NumFloors? I tried this: FloorNum > ApartmentBuilding.NumFloors but now I realize that I somehow have to join the columns on the BuildingID, but I have no idea how to do that within a constraint.   Server A (SQL2005) is in our primary domain, but server B (SQL2000) is just in a windows workgroup. We are not allowed to join it to the domain, or bad things happen... We also can't enable SQL authentication on server B. We've got domain accounts for A, and matching local accounts on server B. I can connect to B from my local PC or A using SSMS and a domain login, but I can't get the linked server to connect. Any ideas how to do this?

  So i want to join strings with relative urls in Javascript. base url = "http://www.adress.com/more/evenmore" with relative url = "../../adress" = "http://www.adress.com/adress" relative url = "../adress" = "http://www.adress.com/more/adress" What would be the best way? I was thinking of using regexp and checking how many "../" i find, then subtracting that amount from the baseurl and adding them to what is left.
