  • Open Id XRDS Discovery

    I am working with Open Id, just playing around making a class to interact / auth Open Id's on my site (in PHP). I know there are a few other Libraries (like RPX), but I want to use my own (its good to keep help better understand the protocol and whether its right for me). The question I have relates to the Open Id discovery sequence. Basically I have reached the point where I am looking at using the XRDS doc to get the local identity (openid.identity) from the claimed identity (openid.claimed_id). My question is, do I have to make a cURL request to get the XRDS Location (X-XRDS-location) and then make another cURL request to get the actual XRDS doc?? It seems like with a DUMB request I only make one cURL request and get the Open Id Server, but have to make two to use the XRDS Smart method. Just doesn't seem right, can anyone else give me some info.

    I am trying to create JSF 2 pages. When I create pages using facelets template I get message on top that "The project is not configured for Facelets yet. You need to add a Facelets runtime to the project's classpath".     Has anyone successfully used Ant4Eclipse (http://www.ant4eclipse.org/) in combination with Project Lombok (http://projectlombok.org/)? Lombok provides annotations for removing boilerplate code; however, it doesn't appear to play nicely with Ant4Eclipse (headless compilation of Eclipse projects).   • why does b'(and sometimes b' ') show up when I split some HTML source[Python]

    I'm fairly new to Python and programming in general. I have done a few tutorials and am about 2/3 through a pretty good book. That being said I've been trying to get more comfortable with Python and proggramming by just trying things in the std lib out. that being said I have recently run into a wierd quirk that I'm sure is the result of my own incorrect or un-"pythonic" use of the urllib module(with Python 3.2.2) import urllib.request HTML_source = urllib.request.urlopen(www.somelink.com).read() print(HTML_source) when this bit is run through the active interpreter it returns the HTML source of somelink, however it prefixes it with b' for example b'<HTML>\r\n<HEAD> (etc). . . . if I split the string into a list by whitespace it prefixes every item with the b' I'm not really trying to accomplish something specific just trying to familiarize myself with the std lib. I would like to know why this b' is getting prefixed also bonus -- Is there a better way to get HTML source WITHOUT using a third party module. I know all that jazz about not reinventing the wheel and what not but I'm trying to learn by "building my own tools" Thanks in Advance!

    Hi in my application there is web browser control to show some static html pages. The pages are displayed properly. but images are not displayed.. I tried with changing src-path but no success. my htmlpages folder is located at bin folder. And i am assigning it as. FileStream source = new FileStream(@"..\HtmlPages\supportHtml.html", FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read); if i open html files in browser, the images are displayed properly.. So, What is the correct path for images..?? If i set full path to src attribute of <img> tag..it works. but i think its not a proper way. :( EDIT: If i assign d:\myapp\bin\HtmlPages\support.gif then image is displayed. And if i assign "..\HtmlPages\support.gif" or "support.gif" image is not shown.

    Hi All, I have a customized OpenFileDialog (VS2008, C#, Windows Forms) with a ComboBox. The ComboBox will have a list of paths which the user can select. My question, is there a way I can change the directory in Open File Dialog to point to the path in the combobox selected item. InitialDirectory works only before I open the dialog, I wanted a way to change the directory programatically after the dialog is open. Thanks

  • open_basedir problems with APC and Symfony2

    I'm currently setting up a shared staging environment for one of our applications, written in PHP5.3 and using the Symfony2 framework. If I only host a single instance of the application per server, everything works as it should. I'm not willing to disable open_basedir as that is only masking the problem instead of solving it, and creates a dependency between applications that should not be present. I initially believed this was related to a Symfony2 error, but I've now tracked it down to an issue with APC; disabling APC also solves the error, but I'm concerned about the performance impact of doing so. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I might be able to do?

    I am trying to force the Soft Keyboard open in an Activity and grab everything that is entered as I want to handle the input myself, I don't have an EditText. Currently I have tried this but it does not work. I would like the Soft Keyboardto open below mAnswerTextView (Note: it is a TextView not EditText). InputMethodManager mgr = (InputMethodManager) getSystemService(Context.INPUT_METHOD_SERVICE); // only will trigger it if no physical keyboard is open mgr.showSoftInput(mAnswerTextView, InputMethodManager.SHOW_IMPLICIT); how do I force the Soft Keyboard open How do I gab everything that is entered so that I can handle each character. I would like to flush each character from the imei after I have handled it. ie, the user should not be able to enter whole words in the Soft Keyboard.

    I built a Visual Studio 2008 setup Project wich depends on .NET 3.5. I added Prerequisites like: .NET 3.5, Microsoft office interoperability, VS tools for office System 3.0 Run time, .etc. After that Selected "Download Prerequisite from Same location as my application" in Specify install location for Prerequisite. I Built the setup and found mysetup.msi in Release directory. In a new machine I started fresh installation of my application. A dialog shows like this "This Setup Requires .NET framework 3.5 , Please install .NET setup then run this setup, .NET Framework can be obtained from web Do you want to do that now?" it gives "Yes" and "No" option - if I press yes it goes to Microsoft website. How can avoid it? I wanted setup take .NET Framework to be installed from same location where I put all setup files including mysetup.msi? In case of quiet installation cmd /c "msiexec /package mysetup.msi /quiet /log install.log" ..in log I can see only half way through installation then error Property(S): HideFatalErrorForm = TRUE MSI (s) (D0:24) [00:07:08:015]: Product: my product-- Installation failed. === Logging stopped: 3/23/2010 0:07:08 === How can complete I the installation without user intervention and without error using VS2008 setup project?   • Reading Code - helpful visualizers and browser tools

    Hi! I find myself reading 10 times more code than writing. My IDEs all are optimized to make me edit code - with completion, code assist, outlines etc. However if I'm checking out a completely new project: getting into the application's logics isn't optimized with these IDE features. Because I cannot extend what I don't fully understand. If you for example check out a relatively new project, frama-c, you realize that it has got plugins that are helpful to gain insight into "unfamiliar code": http://frama-c.com/plugins.html - However of course the project has a different scope. What I'm fully aware of. I'm looking for something that does helpful things for code-reading. Like: providing a graph, - reverse engineering UML e g., showing variable scopes showing which parts are affected by attempted modifications visualizing data-flow semantics showing tag-lists of heavily utilized functions ... My hope is that something like that exists. - That there're some Eclipse plugins I don't know or that there's a code-browser that has some of these features?

    I'm trying to make a stock market simulator (perhaps eventually growing into a predicting AI), but I'm having trouble finding data to use. I'm looking for a (hopefully free) source of historical stock market data. Ideally, it would be a very fine-grained (second or minute interval) data set with price and volume of every symbol on NASDAQ and NYSE (and perhaps others if I get adventurous). Does anyone know of a source for such info? I found this question which indicates Yahoo offers historical data in CSV format, but I've been unable to find out how to get it in a cursory examination of the site linked. I also don't like the idea of downloading the data piecemeal in CSV files... I imagine Yahoo would get upset and shut me off after the first few thousand requests. I also discovered another question that made me think I'd hit the jackpot, but unfortunately that OpenTick site seems to have closed its doors... too bad, since I think they were exactly what I wanted. I'd also be able to use data that's just open/close price and volume of every symbol every day, but I'd prefer all the data if I can get it. Any other suggestions?

  • How to best configure a central repository/multiple central repositories for Mercurial?

    I am new to Mercurial and trying to figure out if it could replace SVN. Everyone I work with has used SVN, CVS and VSS (shiver), so this could be quite a large change. I have been very interested after reading about its merge and branch capability, but have a few reservations. We are currently on SVN, and have one central repository. From my reading, it seems as though there is no ONE central repository for all projects when using Mercurial. NOTE: We consider each project a separate logical set of code, or a Visual Studio Solution. It runs on its own. We have around 60 separate projects in our one central SVN repository. After reading about Mercurial it seems to me that I have to create 60 separate central repositories for each one of these projects on the server. QUESTION #1: Should I create a single repository for each project? If yes, then I am worried about configuring and hosting 60 separate central Mercurial servers. I started thinking I could configure one file, but it seems as if each repository must be individually configured using the “C:...\MyRepository.hg\hgrc” file (Windows install). It also seems as I have to run 60 servers (hg serve), I would assume on different ports. QUESTION #2: If the answer to question 1 is yes, there should be a single central repository for each project, then how have people managed many multiple repositories? Finally, I haven’t looked into moving all history and changes from one SVN repository to a bunch of separate Mercurial repositories, but would appreciate any comments from someone who has done this (or if it is even possible).

  • django - variable declared in base project does not appear in app

    I have a variable called STATIC_URL, declared in settings.py in my base project: STATIC_URL = '/site_media/static/' This is used, for example, in my site_base.html, which links to CSS files as follows: <link rel="stylesheet" href="{{ STATIC_URL }}css/site_tabs.css" /> I have a bunch of templates related to different apps which extend site_base.html, and when I look at them in my browser the CSS is linked correctly as <link rel="stylesheet" href="/site_media/static/css/site_tabs.css" /> (These came with a default pinax distribution.) I created a new app called 'courses' which lives in the ...../apps/courses folder. I have a view for one of the pages in courses called courseinstance.html which extends site_base.html just like the other ones. However, when this one renders in my browser it comes out as <link rel="stylesheet" href="css/site_tabs.css" /> as if STATIC_URL were equal to "" for this app. Do I have to make some sort of declaration to get my app to take on the same variable values as the project? I don't have a settings.py file for the app. by the way, the app is listed in my list of INSTALLED_APPS and it gets served up fine, just without the link to the CSS file (so the page looks funny).     Hello, I'm not sure how to explain this without writing several pages so I hope the actual code is more expressive. I've made a jar containing multiple annotation declaration similar to the following: @Target(ElementType.PACKAGE) @Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME) public @interface MarkedPackage { } then I have made a test jar containing several classes in several packages and marked just one package with the above annotation (with package-info.java) like below: @myPackage.MarkedPackage package package.test.jar; this jar had in its build path the jar containing the annotations. then I made a static class that has a method (LoadPlugins) that retrieves a list with all the jars of a directory. Then it searches through the jars for the 'package-info' class and checks if that classes package contains the MarkedPackage annotation. by calling this: if (checkPackageAnnotation(thisClass.getPackage())) where thisClass is the package-info class retrieved via a classloader. and: public static boolean checkPackageAnnotation(AnnotatedElement elem) { System.out.println(elem.getAnnotations().length); if (elem == null || !elem.isAnnotationPresent(MarkedPackage.class)) return false; return true; } the elem.getAnnotatios().length is there for debug purposes. And the problem appears when I call the method from the static class: if I call it from a main function: public class MyMain { public static void main(String[] args){ PluginUtils.LoadPlugins(); } } everything works perfectly it displays '1' from that System.out.println(elem.getAnnotations().length); But if I call it from a button from my Vaadin project: header.addComponent(new Button("CallThat", new Button.ClickListener() { public void buttonClick(ClickEvent event) { PluginUtils.LoadPlugins(); } })); It displays '0' from that System.out.println(elem.getAnnotations().length); Also I should mention that I created the main inside my Vaadin project so it would have the exact same build path and resources. Is there a problem with web applications and that "@Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME)" ? hope I was clear enough... Hope someone has a solution for me... If you need more information - let me know.     I have a WebApplication on asp.net 2.0 with namespace Admin. I have Form Authentification mode for the project. <authentication mode="Forms"> <forms name="ASP_XML_Form" loginUrl="Login.aspx" protection="All" timeout="30" path="/" requireSSL="false" slidingExpiration="true" cookieless="AutoDetect"> </forms> </authentication> Now, I try to share one folder (one inside page) for not Authentificatied users: <location path="Recovery"> <system.web> <roleManager enabled="false" > </roleManager> <authentication mode="None"> </authentication> <authorization> <allow users="*" /> </authorization> <httpHandlers> <remove verb="GET" path="image.aspx" /> <remove verb="GET" path="css.aspx" /> </httpHandlers> </system.web> </location> But when I create the page inside the shared folder, it can't get access to the assembly. And I see the error like this: Could not load file or assembly 'Admin' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. It also shows me the error: ASP.NET runtime error: It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS. Does anybody know how to share (Authentification None) one folder(page) when the project is under FormsAuthentifications?

  • SharePoint problem: opening a office 2007 document tries to open as a zip file

    I have a number of Office 2007 documents (.pptx, .docx, .xlsx) in a SharePoint document library and when user tries to open the documents, it tries to open as a zip file. This happens to some users, but not all. I posted this issue at http://superuser.com/questions/110211/why-office-2007-documents-open-as-a-zip-file, but I failed to mention that it was related to the Sharepoint so it got moved to the superuser.com Please help.

  • Query notation for the sitecore 'source' field in template builder

    I am trying to set the the source field of a template using the query notation (or xpath - whichever works), but none of them seems to be working. My content tree is a multisite content tree: France --Page 1 ----Page1A -------Page1AA --Page 2 --Page 3 --METADATA ----Regions US --Page 1 ----Page1A -------Page1AA --Page 2 --Page 3 --METADATA ----Regions Each site has its own METADATA folder, and I want it so that when adding a page inside each of the main country nodes, I want the values to reflect whatever is in the METADATA of that site. I have two different fields for now - a droplink and a treelistex field. So I thought I can just get the parent item that is a country site, and get the metadata folder for that. When I put the following query in both the fields, I get different results: query:./ancestor::*[@@templatename='CountryHome']/METADATA/Regions/* For the droplink field, I get only the first Region (one item) For the treelistex field, I get the entire content tree I then tried to modify the query a little bit and took the 'query' notation out ./ancestor::*[@@templatename='CountryHome']/METADATA/Regions/* If I go to the developer center/xpath builder, and set the context node to any item underneath the main country site, it returns me exactly what I need, but when I put this in the source, I get the entire content tree in both the cases. Help!

    I'm working on a TFS utility that gets the changesets for a particular project in TFS. I've got a home TFS 2010 server which I primarily use for testing, but I decided to give it a try against a codeplex project to which I contribute. That way, I can test functionality against a larger number of changesets than I have locally. While it works fine in my environment, heading out over the wire to codeplex has left me stumped. My application queries the history, but then, when trying to iterate through the history (which is when it lazy-loads the IEnumerable), my application hangs. Looking at Intellitrace, I see a couple of "first chance" exceptions that the "item doesn't exist at the specified version"-- which is patently not true, as I'm trying to get history for "$/" at VersionSpec.Latest. I also see two or three consecutive server 500 errors being returned to me after forcing debugging to pause. Other operations (like GetItems() ) work fine, so I'm pretty sure authentication isn't an issue. Any thoughts?
