    i am using lenovo b460 with 3 GB ram and 500 GB hard disk,(no graphics card). when i live boot Linux mint i was able to connect to WiFi.but when i booted up Ubuntu 11.4 i was not able to connect through WiFi.then later i installed Ubuntu 12.4 and then i got connected with WiFi, but after installing icons and themes through my unity i am not able to view the content in the terminal and the WiFi is also not connecting now even after i changed them all back. wireless connectivity

  • How to stop split tunnelling over cisco VPN (OS X)?

    I'm using OS X (Snow Leopard) and the built in Cisco IP Sec client to connect to my corporate VPN. Currently, everything works as designed, and desired for most people. However, I would like to be able to funnel all traffic (particularly all web browser traffic) through the VPN. (Note - I'm an end user here, not the network administrator). Is this possible? In searching around, most people are looking to do the opposite; break out the VPN and enable split tunnelling of data. I'd like to avoid the split tunnelling. Is there some setting I can make in my OS X client to make this happen? I ran across a post where routing table changes are made to force split tunnelling: how to force split tunnel routing on mac -> cisco vpn I'm thinking something similar to that might work, but I'm not a networking expert so I'm not sure where to start (or if it is even possible).   • Move entire OS from NTFS drive to bigger ext4 drive.

    According to SMART data, the hard drive I curently use is about to fail. I bought a new, bigger drive to copy the system to a safer place. The old drive is 160GB. Ubuntu was installed with Wubi, and the partition is NTFS. There are a few other partitions around (recovery partition, swap...) that I don't care about. The new drive is 320GB. I would like the new system to run on ext4, not on NTFS. I looked at solutions that use dd, or clonezilla, but it seems that moving to a different filesystem prevents me from using them. I considered installing a brand new ubuntu on the new hard drive and then copy /home from the old drive to the new drive, but I heard that there would be file permission problems. I would also have to reinstall all my software. One last thing: the NTFS drive has dead sectors. I don't know how this can influence the copy process, but I mention it just in case. edit: I do not care about the windows partition. I just want Ubuntu to make the transition.

  • Should I be running VM's(Virtual Box) for development on the same hdd as my os or a external usb (2.0) HDD or usb (2.0) flash drive

    I have a mac book pro (7200 rpm / 8GB ram) and I like the idea of virtualized development environments as I like to experiment with different technologies and don't like to have environmental cross contamination. I would like to know for the vm's I run (rarely 2 at time..almost always 1 vm at a time) should the virtual hdd be on my laptops native hdd or some external form (usb hdd, usb flash, or since i have mac express card based sad ?). I don't mind maxing out my ram to 16GB if thats a better option to have in the mix. Thank you

    Hi I've made a small game for iPhone that I also want to run on Android but I'm having problems setting up Cocos2D-X for Android. I've downloaded and installed Android SDK and NDK (under my "/Users/username/Android"). Installed all necessary packages under SDK and created an Emulator. Copied Cocos2D-x under "/Users/username/cocos2dx". Installed Eclipse IDE with ADT Plugin. Opened "Users/username/cocos2dx/tests/build_native.sh" and changed "NDK_ROOT_LOCAL=/Users/username/Android/android-ndk", "COCOS2DX_ROOT_LOCAL=/Users/username/cocos2dx" to the values shown. On running the script using Terminal it compiles test project. What's next?

    In Eclipse 3.4 for Windows, the Source - Format option for formatting Java code was extended to format HTML code. However, for OS X, this option is disabled. Additionally, there are no formatting options in the Preferences. I've downloaded all the Web Tools for Eclipse and the option is still unavailable. Which plugin/feature allows for HTML formatting on Eclipse OS X, if there is one? Otherwise, what is a good Web-based alternative? Thanks, Adam

When the user clicks at somewhere, the OS sends the device ID, which is just an int, and the position of the cursor to my callback function.
