Learning about programming is tough enough, but doing it online is next to impossible for me... Now, to get to the program, I am going to paste what I have so far. This is the assignment: Examine the following situation: Your company, Datamax, Inc., is in the process of automating its payroll systems. Your manager has asked you to create a program that calculates overtime pay for all employees. Your program must take into account the employee’s salary, total hours worked, and hours worked more than 40 in a week, and then provide an output that is useful and easily understood by company management. Compile your program utilizing the following background information and the code outline in Appendix D (included in the code section). Submit your project as an attachment including the code and the output. Company Background: Three employees: Mark, John, and Mary The end user needs to be prompted for three specific pieces of input—name, hours worked, and hourly wage. Calculate overtime if input is greater than 40 hours per week. Provide six test plans to verify the logic within the program. Plan 1 must display the proper information for employee #1 with overtime pay. Plan 2 must display the proper information for employee #1 with no overtime pay. • Changing the action of a form with javascript/jquery

  I'm having an issue that is driving me crazy. I'm trying to modify the openid-selector to support facebook. I'm using RPXNow as my provider so it requires the form to be submitted to a different url than the standard. For example. RpxNow requires me to setup my form like this: <form action="https://wikipediamaze.rpxnow.com/openid/start?token_url=..."> This works for every provider except for facebook and myspace. Those require the form to be posted to a different url like this: <form action="https://wikipediamaze.rpxnow.com/facebook/start?token_url=..."> and <form action="https://wikipediamaze.rpxnow.com/myspace/start?token_url=..."> The open id selector has a bunch of buttons on the form each representing the openid providers. What I'm trying to do is detect when the facebook or myspace button is clicked and changed the action on the form before submitting. However it's not working. Here is my code. I've tried several variations all with the same "not supported" exception $("#openid_form").attr("action", form_url) document.forms[0].action = form_url Any suggestions? Update Here are more details on the code. I've ommitted some for brevity. The only thing i've done is added the facebook section to the "providers_large" object (which successfully adds the logo to the website), and instead of supply a url identifying the user, I'm creating a property called "form_url" which is what I want to set the action of my form to. If you look at the section title "Provider image click" you'll see where I'm checking for the presence of the property "form_url" and using jquery to change the action and submit the form. • Why won't my AJAX controls work? (and ajax for .net 4 not working?)

  I'm totally new to ajax. I'm using VS2005. I just downloaded .NET framework 4 and so then I downloaded ajaxcontroltoolkit.binary.net4 via [http://ajaxcontroltoolkit.codeplex.com/releases/view/43475] (as opposed to ajaxcontroltoolkit.binary.net35 for .NET 3.5), but when I try to load the ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll into my toolbox (as said in the tutorials), I get the following error msg: "'C:......\ajaxcontroltoolkit.dll' is not a microsoft .NET module." First question: Why is this happening? So I tried downloading the "Recommended" ajaxcontroltoolkit.binary.net35, and it accepted the .dll file and loaded all my controls. So, I started a new website and tried to check out a combobox, and it displays, but IE is giving the follow error msg: 'Sys.Extended.UI.PositioningMode.BottomLeft' is null or not an object.' 2nd question: Why is this happening? • MVC4 Model in View has nested data - cannot get data in model

  I have a Model defined that gets me a View with a list of RadioButtons, per IEnumerable. Within that Model, I want to display a list of checkboxes that will vary based on the item selected. Finally, there will be a Textarea in the same view once the user has selected from the available checkboxes, with some dynamic text there based on the CheckBoxes that are selected. What we should end up with is a Table-per-hierarchy. The layout is such that the RadioButtonList is in the first table cell, the CheckBoxList is in the middle table cell, and the Textarea is ini the right table cell. If anyone can guide me to what my model-view should be to achieve this result, I'll be most pleased... Do you guys know how to fix it also if it's not asking too much could you help me to make a while loop for the last portion of the program so that after the user sees the info for a section he can see another section. It sucks that I've been working on it for a while but if it doesn't run properly tomorrow I'll fail. Help would be greatly appreciated and responses are welcome anytime cause i'll be up anyway. P.S.   I have ClassA and ClassB, with ClassA being the superclass. ClassA uses NodeA, ClassB uses NodeB. First problem: method parameters. ClassB needs NodeB types, but I can't cast from the subclass to the superclass. That means I can't set properties which are unique to NodeB's. Second problem: When I need to add nodes toClassB, I have to instantiate a new NodeB. But, I can't do this in the superclass, so I'd have to rewrite the insertion to use NodeB. Is there a way around it or am I gonna have to rewrite the whole thing?

  SELECT MyTable.Name,(SELECT CASE WHEN ISNULL(SUM(TotalDays), 0) <= 0 THEN 0 ELSE SUM(TotalDays) END AS Total FROM Application AS Applications WHERE (ID = MyTable.id)) - MIN(Assignments) AS Excesses FROM MyTable The above TSQL statement is a subquery in a main query. When i run it, if TotalDays is NULL or <=0, then Total is set to 0 (zero). What i would like to do here is to set the result of the whole query(Excesses) to 0. I want (Excesses) which is the result of Total - Min(Assignments) to be set to 0 if its NULL or <=0. I want the CASE WHEN to apply to the whole query but am struggling to get it right.
