    I use a dbml for my Data Access Layer to provide the data that i need in my app. When i connect from the server explorer everything seems fine. I choose to use my windows authentication and the connection test shows everything works just fine. When i Build my solution and run it on my IIS it says that i'm using a login that is not working. How to solve this issue?

    Hi all I am very new to cakePHP, I want to add YUI accordion in the default layout of my application. A simple explanation could be like this - I have a table 'lecturers' in my database. I have baked the model lecturer (file) I have baked the controller lecturers_controller (file) I have baked the view lecturers (folder) I need to override the default layout but I want to add YUI 3 accordion sothat the table name lecturers will be on top, after clicking on the top division it will slidedown and will show me the column name of lecturer table. Is there anyone who could suggest me how to integrate the YUI 3 accordion - Do I have to write a helper for this or simply after copying the YUI 3 library I could code this in the default.ctp file. I am really confused as I could hardly get a full tutorial on this topic. Thank you in advance ................

    I have a scalar UDF that I know to be deterministic, however SQL doesn't. Is there a way to declare it as deterministic so that I can then use it in a persisted computed column definition? further clarification: The purpose of this exercise is that I need to harvest out specific values from an XML column on the row. I can't use the value method of the xml column in my computed column definition, but I can use it in a UDF. I know the xpath query in the value method will produce the same output give the same input so while I certainly understand that not all calls to value will be deterministic I want to assert that mine is.

  • How to presist the user authentication in SL3 + RIA

    I am developing SL3 + RIA services with custom authentication. I followed the example in http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/RiaServices/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=2661 to implement custom authentication. Based on the implementation, you first do login request from client to service. This request is async process. Since login is async, the control will go back to GUI which then starts to do data bind in SL controls using RIA services, the services happens to requires the authentication to be successful (by adding [RequireAuthentication] attribute). The trouble is, since you requested login might not have completed before the data binding starts t this stage the authentication is false because of that data binding will fail. I would like to know if you require your web services to have 'RequireAuthentication' how would you wait for authentication to complete at the server side or client side. Appriciate the help.     Trying to create a large textbox of fixed size. This problem is very similar to the 140 character constraint problem, but instead of stopping typing at 140 characters, I want to stop typing when the edge of the textView's frame is reached, instead of extending below into the abyss. Here is what I've got for the delegate method. Seems to always be off by a little bit.     I use a GridView to display the records from the database. Also i've attached a Hyperlink to the GridView using TemplateField. When I try to add "onclick" attribute to the HyperLink inside the RowDateBound event, I get the following error..     Hello everyone, Seems there is an abundance of popular declarative-style authorization plugins, which allow you to somehow state in the code that, e.g., this controller action can be accessed by users with such-and-such roles. But what if I need a more dynamic scheme. I want to have an admin area, with a list of all authorizable actions and an ability to assign permissions on actions from the UI. I have ideas how to implement it from scratch, like to define a model corresponding to a controller and/or action and store the permissions via normal associations.   • How to add user customized data to database?

    I am trying to design a sqlite database that will store notes. Each of these notes will have common fields like title, due date, details, priority, and completed. In addition though, I would like to add data for more specialized notes like price for shopping list items and author/publisher data for books. I also want to have a few general purpose fields that users can fill with whatever text data they want. How can I design my database table in this case? I could just have a field for each piece of data for every note, but that would waste a lot of fields and I'd like to have other options and suggestions.

  • Creating a User Registration Page using MongoEngine

    I am currently working an a webapp, using mongoengine and django, which will require users to create an account from a registration page. I know MongoEngine has an authentication backend, but does it also include a registration form, etc..., like django itself does? If not, are there any example projects which show how to implement this? The only open-source mongoengine project I've found is django-mumblr, but I can't find the examples I want in it. I'm not interested in alternative options, such as MongoKit or mango for handling authentication. I am just getting started with django and mongoDB, so please excuse my lack of knowledge.     hi, is there any way, to restrict hibernate not to create connection of its own(what we define in hibernate.properties or hibernate.cfg.xml), instead i can create and pass the connection to hibernate for further processing. The problem is that i need to set the ApplicationContext on the connection given that the i am using oracle connection. I know how to create a connection and set the applicationContext on to it.. but the problem is that i don't know how to force hibernate to use the connection that i have created.. Please help..

  • How to launch a program as as a normal user from a UAC elevated installer

    I'm writing an NSIS installer and the setup program elevates "as administrator" as needed on Windows 7 / vista. I need to run the installed program at the end of the install and don't want to launch it with the same privileges as the installer. The regular NSIS exec commands run the child process with the same permissions as the installer. There is a UAC plugin for NSIS, but the documentation on it isn't great and it seems v. new; I'd prefer not to use that plugin. Ideally, I'm looking for a small .exe I can include that'll launch the target program without UAC elevation. Does this exist? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

    It must be a fairly standard wheel, so I'd rather not reinvent it. Create/modify/delete users. Ditto their passwords & maybe enforce password change every X days. Also, create groups, like "sales", "support", etc and add/remove users. The only unique part should be what they have permission to do (visit certain parts of the site after login, etc) And I'd like to store admin data in an ODBC compliant database (MySql to start with, but I may move on). Is this a new wheel? There doesn't seem to be much of anything on SourceForge, but if I could find something established and trusted I wouldn't even mind paying a few $100 as a trade of for the time needed to develop & test it.

Is there a way to correct this so that jquery checks if this is set on the page load?

    I'm wondering about the famous MSN chat clients conversation windows! I'm sure there must be alot of different aspects but I'd like to focus on those little sliding panes. For instance where the pictures of the people in the conversation is displayed. When you click the collapse button the pictures dissapear and the panel gracefully slides in, and when you click it again to expand, it slides out and the pictures are smoothly faded in. How would one go about customly drawing a control in WinForms that had simmilar behaviour?

  • iOS get user contacts excluding businesses

    I have an app that is loading all of a users contacts. I would like to exclude any business, but I can't seem to find a way to determine if a contact is a business. I initially considered check if the "company" field contains a value when the first and last name do not, but I can't find this property from the ABRecord.   • Uninstalling user install of Apache on Mac Mini

    I got a MacMini at work for development, and was asked to follow this article to install SVN on it: http://developer.apple.com/tools/subversionxcode.html The article assumes that only Apache 1.3 was installed and asks the reader to install Apache 2. I've since learned that the MacMini has Apache 2 already installed. So basically I've installed two versions of Apache 2. The preinstalled one has access to PHP, so I wanted to remove my version, but I'm unsure of how. My version has httpd.conf stored at: /usr/local/apache2/conf/httpd.conf And the preinstalled version has it stored at: /etc/apache2/httpd.conf, which I believe is an alias for /private/etc/apache2/httpd.conf Thanks for your help
