    I would like my iPhone app to get dynamic content off the net. This content should be managed using a CMS. I have gone ahead and installed Joomla on my server and will be using the Joomla web interface to create and manage content. I would now like the iPhone app to login to my server and fetch the content. I do not want the complete web pages for my iPhone app. Instead, I want the content in the form of XML or JSON or some serialized format so that I can use the data in a custom layout native to the app. So I am looking for 2 things in particular: 1. How to setup HTTP based authentication for my iPhone app to access data from my server. 2. How to access the content in a serialized format (XML, JSON etc) Are there plugins/extensions/components I can use to achieve the same. Any advice on how this can be achieved would be helpful. I am completely new to setting up/using CMS.

  • Upgrading to Java 7u65 breaks my Deployment Rule Set for Oracle applications

    My company uses an older version of an Oracle application that requires Java 6u45. Naturally we want to be secure, so we use a Deployment Rule Set to specify 6u45 for that internal application and let other applications use 7u60. Now that we're ready to upgrade the Java 7 half to 7u67, the Oracle application breaks with "Deployment Rule Set required version 1.6.0_45 not available." Of course it is available, it just can't find it for some reason. As a test, I specified that JavaTester.org should use 6u45 also and it works fine with no issues. But when I try to use the same configuration (7u67 and 6u45) against the Oracle application it fails every time. If I downgrade to 7u60, it works. 7u65 or higher, it breaks. The Oracle application hasn't changed so it must be something different in how 7u65+ is handling Deployment Rule Sets or pathing or something.   • Where can I get the 11.04 kernel .config file?

    I'm using Maverick with the latest available kernels on kernel.org and building them myself. Until now I've been basing my configuration off the stock Maverick kernel and accepting the make oldconfig defaults. I've been doing this for 3 major releases now so I figure I'm starting to slip behind the current "standard". I would like to re-base my kernels off the new Natty .config file. Is this available somewhere online or do I have to download the whole kernel package and extract it? Edit: I've manually pulled in the config from the latest Natty kernel package and I can confirm that I propbably should have done this sooner. A lot of differences between my old "evolved" config and the Natty default. Now if I could just do this without 20 minutes of hunting and downloading the package so I can re-base in the future.

    So I wrote a parser routine to take one xml file and reparse into another one. This code I later modified to split a large xml file into many small xml files. I am having a problem with an output.     I'm having some trouble with the ReadXmlSchema and ReadXml methods for a DataTable. I'm getting the error "DataTable does not support schema inference from Xml".   • Tomcat 6 Realm Config with Windows AD

    We have Tomcat 6 connecting to a Win2k3 Server running AD. The realm is configured as such <Realm className="org.apache.catalina.realm.JNDIRealm" debug="99" referrals="follow" connectionURL="<url>" connectionName="CN=Query Account,OU=Service Accounts,DC=company,DC=com" connectionPassword="<pwd>" userBase="OU=Users,DC=company,DC=com" userSubtree="true" userSearch="(sAMAccountName={0})" userRoleName="member" roleBase="OU=Security Groups,DC=company,DC=com" roleName="cn" roleSearch="(member={0})" roleSubtree="true"/> Our groups in AD are such Security Groups (OU) IT (OU) IT Support (OU) Support Staff (CN) The LDAP security works if in the web.xml, I speficy Support Staff. i.e works for Common names. We want ANY user under Security Groups OU to have access to the application and not just the CN. Tomcat does not search OU's and it just searches CN's in our case. How do we configure our settings so we can do OU level authorization and not just CN level ? thanks Mat

Maybe my environment files are wonky?     I'm developing a webpage where a need to know the users windows authentication values, more precisely the name. Others developments have been done with this kind of authentication but sadly for me their creators are long gone and i have no contact or documentation. I'm using Visual Studio 2008 and i'm accessing a webservice that is in a remote server. The server is a windows server 2008 r2 standard and is using ISS version 7.5. Since i have the source code of the other developments what i did was copy paste and was working fine when i was calling the webservice that was in my machine (localhost).     I have setup a ghettoVCB script in order to backup three VM. I put it in a crontab but I have an issue. In my backup folder I have 3 different folders, one for each VM. In each folder I have the following files: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1263 Mar 17 01:51 vm1-2010-03-16--2.gz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1263 Mar 17 00:41 vm1-2010-03-16--3.gz -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1261 Mar 18 01:22 vm1-2010-03-17--1.gz drwxr-xr-x 1 root root 980 Mar 19 23:39 vm1-2010-03-19 The problem is the last folder. It seems that a backup didn't finish the process.     Hello, I've got Eclipse 3.6.1 on my MacBook Air (2010), and I'm getting slowish startup times. Well, slow, compared to my Desktop, which is somewhat less powerful and a few years old). The startup generally takes 15 seconds, and of this, 4 is spent just on the Eclipse splash screen, before Eclipse loads anything. No projects are open at startup. I'm running Eclipse 3.6.1 Cocoa x64 build (vanilla) with the Zend Studio plugin. The machine has 4GB RAM, an SSD with over 64% free space, 1.6GHz (4MB L2 Cache). OS is Mac OS X 10.6.6, latest Java available, 1.6. For comparison, my Desktop, an old P4 3GHZ (512K L2 Cache) with a 7200RPM drive, under 40% free space, Eclipse (same config) loads in under 7 seconds, consistently. Note, this one is a Windows machine, with latest Java installed.

  • WAMP Installation - Multiple PHP Version Issues

    I have installed WAMP because I am attempting to modify an an application which uses Zend Optimizer (I cannot use Z.O. with PHP5.3+, which is why I decided to install WAMP). I downloaded the latest version - Wamp Server 2.1 - which comes bundled with PHP5.3.5. I then downloaded a PHP version that would be compatible with Z.O. - 5.2.9. - and a compatible Apache version, 2.0.63. My problem: PHP scripts run fine, but anything with MySQL does not work. Running the testmysql.php script returns the fatal error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in C:\wamp\www\testmysql.php on line 2". I have looked in the PHP INI files inside both PHP versions, and I'm fairly sure the relevant information is there. At least, there are parts inside that mention MySQL! Perhaps somebody could clarify exactly what information should be present? Also, when visiting a page that called phpinfo(), I noticed that the 'Loaded Configuration File' was pointing to C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.3.5\php.ini, even though I have enabled the older PHP version. I've stopped and started Apache, too, and that hasn't made a difference. Is anybody able to offer any assistance? Anything at all would be great; I'm not very good at messing around with Apache/
