  • How put <Spanned> into list.setAdapter?

    Simple but little tricky, if I have list.setAdapter(new ArrayAdapter<String>(this,R.layout.double_row, R.id.doubleRow, articleItemsHelper)); it works if articleItemsHelper is String, but I wanna have HTML formatting in there so when articleItemsHelper is type Spanned this (adapter) doesn't work. ArrayList<Spanned> articleItemsHelper = new ArrayList<Spanned>(); What's the solution?

  • How to start an activity Dialog.

    I have one activity which i am using for displaying Dialogs and as a normal layout. So what i want to do is, sometimes i want to start activity as Theme Dialog and some times using setContentView. I can't use <activity android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Dialog"> in manifest file as it will always display activity as dialog. So can we do it programmatic, i have also tried setTheme() method but it did't work. Thanks, PP.

    I have a Customer class which has a representative field....this field is initially blank but when the user opens up the details page of the chosen customer, they'll be given the open of representing this customer by clicking on a link. The template layout I was thinking of is this: <strong>Representative: </strong> {% if customer.representative %} {{ customer.representative }} {% else %} <a href="{% url representCustomer customer.id %}">Represent this customer.</a> {% endif %} All that remains is the view to effect this...this is where I'm stuck.

    In an iPhone app, how do I keep the software keyboard from obscuring buttons, or UITextView fields in a View? I've got the following layout: View -\ UITextView UIButton ... but, the keyboard obscures the button at the bottom when I'm typing in the UITextView. I tried using the following: View -\ UIScrollView -\ UITextView UIButton ... but, the window does not scroll as expected, so the user has no way of clicking the button. How is this normally handled?

    I am using three buttons along with the list view.These three buttons are added to the layout using the TableLayout and TableRow.The first button takes more space on content, so the other two becomes smaller in size than first one. When the application runs, it doesn't even show the two other buttons. How can I make the size of three buttons equal and display all of them when application runs?Give me some example please. Previously I was doing this through createInitialLayout of IPerspectiveFactory but then I realized that this is for defining the page layout only and is usually called when when launching the perspective for the first time only.   • How to make area outside of custom dialog view unclickable?

    I created a custom dialog (no, this is not dialog object) from an image and some other views. The conflict I am having with this custom dialog (again, this is a layout) is that the area around it closes the custom dialog. Is there a way I can make the outside area unclickable? I have tried wrapping the dialog view with a fullscreen frameLayout w/ transparent background, and then programmatically I set the frame attribute to setClickable(false). framelayout.setClickable(false); This does nothing. It still closes the dialog. Any other suggestions? Thank you in advance.   • Changing the height of an existing, visible TextView

    Hi I'd like to programatically increase the height allocated to a TextView, and have the activity layout redrawn accordingly (the text view has a maximum height until the user clicks it, then it takes up all height required, wrap_content). setHeight() isn't working, even coupled with invalidate() or postInvalidate(). I am able to change the contents of the TextBox with setText() but it isn't altering the existing specified height. Android 1.5 under the 1.6 SDK.
