• How can you distribute the color intensity of two images using its gradients?

  Hello everyone... I am working on an automatic image stitching algorithm using MATLAB. So far, I have downloaded a source code much like the one that I had in mind and so, I'm currently studying how the code work. The problem is, when stitching two or more images together, their color intensity will most probably be different from each other so the stitched seams will be visible to the eye... So, right now, I'm trying to find out how to redistribute their color intensity using the images gradients so that the whole stitched image will have the same color intensity. I hope someone can help me out there and if so, thank you very much...

  As title says need to convert a Zip file to text file , no matter the size and no matter if it will make sense or not.But i need to reconvert it to that zip file again (Lose less). The main problem i am having is how to find a alternative text/number version of a character. The Ascii wont work clearly ,So need help what can be a alternative text for a character specially that garbage looking binary chars in zip , when you see in a editor. • jQuery/CSS related problem

  Hi I am new to jQuery, and this is the page I'm currently developing. http://90.230.237.71/gandhi.html (Hope that works now :P) When I hit "Show/hide gallery" all the images are first opened vertically, and later they are corrected to their horizontal placement, that's the problem. They should be horizontal right away! I don't know if this is due to jQuerys slideDown or entirely CSS-related, but the code is all there for you. Initally, the images are set to display: none, perhaps they then are invisibly stored vertically. Then slideDown is performed and last, the CSS-attributes are changed to "display: inline". Perhaps I need to change execution order of slideDown and setting the CSS-attributes... but how? I NEED HELP... for many reasons, but I only want you to help me with this one ;) And also, please actually look at the code before making any assumptions. It's all there in the code.

  Hi, I am doing a website (WIP). I encountered some css problems, hope you guys can help me. My current situation: I have am image, lets called it "bg.png" with the width about 2500px, and at the center of the background image has my logo. My website should target all size (from small 800 x 600 to 2400 x XXX) users. My problems How do I centralize the background image(bg.png), so that the logo always positioned in the centered(horizontally) of different size of monitors screen?

  I have just started learning programming and I would like to make a script into a chrome extension. Its a basic script and I hope to practice more and more and develop bigger projects and set myself bigger tasks This script has to do the following : reload a page every 20 seconds (say google.com) after 6 months the script must not run (maybe prompt a window saying "its over 6 months") The code should be able to go into a small chrome extension and also the 6 month time period should be absolute not relative to the time the script was started; for example should the browser crash and i have to turn on the extension again it should not restart the 6 month counter. Also if anyone could recommend any good sources for JavaScript to learn (preferably books; nothingIi read online ever seems to stick)

There are two different ways (at least) to set the DataContext. One can use XAML or one can use the code behind. What is the 'best practice' and why? I tend to favor setting it in XAML because it allows a designer to define collections on their own but I need 'ammunition' on why it's a best practice or why I'm crazy and the code behind is the bomb...

  I am having application.html where I used jquery.validate.js and it works fine and submit my data to process.php. But I want if there is an error generated by jquery.validate.js then I know the how many errors generated by validate.js in application.php. I am going to implement if there are number of errors generated then uploading function will be disable. If there is no error generated then uploading function will work. • Best way to access a sqlite database file in a web service.

  First question from me on stack overflow. I have created a java web application containing a web service using netbeans (I hope a web application were the correct choice). I use the web application as is with no extra frameworks. This web service use a sqlite JDBC driver for accessing a sqlite database file. My problem is that the file path end up incorrect when I try to form the JDBC connection string. Also, the working directory is different when deploying and when running JUnit tests. I read somewhere about including the file as a resource, but examples of this were nowhere to be seen. In any case, what is the best way to open the sqlite database, both when the web service is deployed and when I test it "localy"? I don't know much about web services, I just need it to work, so please, help me with the technicalities.

• Storyboard changing controller (modal) not working

  I have problem with navigation between ViewControllers: here is my storyboard: http://postimg.org/image/dar9pkuvl/ The navigation between controllers in green rectangle works fine, I add to controller number 1 controller number 2 (by addtosubview) and then controllers number 3,4,5 to UIScrollView in controller number 2 ( controller number 2 contain scrollview). Everything work fine but if I click Send buttn on controller 4 nothing happens (It is strange because I was added connection between button and controller in the same way like between controllers 7 and 8). I know it is little bit confusing described, but I hope that someone tell me where is problem. Thanks

• Python configuration file generator

  I want to use Python to make a configuration file generator. My roughly idea is feeding input with template files and some XML files with the real settings. Then use the program to generate the real configuration files. I got several questions: Is there any open source configuration generator program? (what could be the keyword), I wonder if there's anything can be added/modified in the design. Does Python have good XML parser module? Is it good idea to use XML file to save the original settings? I've been thinking to use Excel since it's more intuitive to maintain, but harder for program to parse. Not sure how people deal with this. Hope the community can give me some suggestions.   Simple problem I have so far always solved via PHP: You have a site with header, menu, footer and content field. Header, menu and footer are usually the same for each page. How do you, without PHP or any other server-side language, have the header, menu and footer data exist only in one file? So that for example you don't have ten sites (like home.html, products.html, about.html, ..) all having a copy of the static header and menu in their html files. Now if you want to change the header you have to change ten files. I hope I made my question clear enough, if not please leave a comment :)

  Ok I know little about SQL so bare with me... I'm trying to see if certain values exist in a third level table and I don't know how to go about it. Here is the scenario... I have a Accident table that holds accident information. It has 3 one-to-many child tables (Units, Occupants, NonMotorists). An each of those child tables have their own many-to-many child table (Alcohol). I need to be able to have some way of seeing if a range of values exists in a field in those Alcohol tables.   Current situation: INSERT INTO othertbl SELECT * FROM tbl WHERE id = '1' So i want to copy a record from tbl to othertbl. Both tables have an autoincremented unique index. Now the new record should have a new index, rather then the value of the index of the originating record else copying results in a index not unique error. A solution would be to not use the * but since these tables have quite some columns i really think it's getting ugly. So,.. is there a better way to copy a record which results in a new record in othertbl which has a new autoincremented index without having to write out all columns in the query and using a NULL value for the index. -hope it makes sense....-

  I have an application that I'm currently building that requires me to display a visual update on the application it self. example: The weather app displays 14 degrees celcius and some clouds as its application icon. When the weather changes there is an update to the way the icon looks without having to open the weather app. The applications icon changes to reflect the update in weather. You can then open the weather app to get more information if need be. In my application I need to have an update system like that which shows the user information without opening the application. If they would like more information they can open the application then. I have no idea how to accomplish this task at the moment. • Why do apps from Android 2.1 stop working with 2.2?

  Hi guys, I've just updated my nexus one to 2.2. Now all of my (own and some from the market) apps throw exceptions and were closed. It's weird, in the app I'm developing atm, there it displays only my start page with buttons, but when I tap on one button to fire an intent to another activity my app gets closed with an exception. Yesterday before the update everything worked fine. The same thing in my emulator: I have two devices, one with API level 7 and one with level 8. Level 7 worked fine, but level 8 killed my app :( What is the problem and how can I solve this? I'm desperatly trying to get it working again :( I hope someone can help me fixing this

  I have a Wordpress site and what I would like to do is for users to send their email address through a form and then my email client would send automatically message them with a link to a certain page. That page should not be accessable without that link. Is that possible to do and are there any ready plugins for this?
