  • Django: customizing the message after a successful form save

    - by chiurox
    Hello, whenever I save a model in my Admin interface, it displays the usual "successfully saved message." However, I want to know if it's possible to customize this message because I have a situation where I want to warn the user about what he just saved and the implications of these actions. class PlanInlineFormset(forms.models.BaseInlineFormset): def clean(self): ### How can I detect the changes? ### (self.changed_data doesn't work because it's an inline) ### and display what he/she just changed at the top AFTER the successful save? class PlanInline(admin.TabularInline): model = Plan formset = PlanInlineFormset

  • How to get absolute path from path with system path variables?

    - by The_Fox
    Is there an easy way to translate a path with system path variables to an absolute path? So %ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\hmmapi.dll becomes C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\hmmapi.dll I like to know if there is an API call that can do this, or do I have to do this the hard way and detect %..% sequences and replace them with the appropriate environment variable?

  • SQLSTATE[HY093]: Invalid parameter number: mixed named and positional parameters

    - by Gremo
    Weird error and this is driving me crazy all the day. To me it seems a bug because there are no positional parameters in my query. Here is the method: public function getAll(User $user, DateTime $start = null, DateTime $end = null) { $params = array('user_id' => $user->getId()); $rsm = new \Doctrine\ORM\Query\ResultSetMapping(); // Result set mapping $rsm->addScalarResult('subtype', 'subtype'); $rsm->addScalarResult('count', 'count'); $sms_sql = "SELECT CONCAT('sms_', IF(is_auto = 0, 'user' , 'auto')) AS subtype, " . "SUM(messages_count * (customers_count + recipients_count)) AS count " . "FROM outgoing_message AS m INNER JOIN small_text_message AS s ON " . "m.id = s.id WHERE status <> 'pending' AND user_id = :user_id"; $news_sql = "SELECT CONCAT('news_', IF(is_auto = 0, 'user' , 'auto')) AS subtype, " . "SUM(customers_count + recipients_count) AS count " . "FROM outgoing_message AS m JOIN newsletter AS n ON m.id = n.id " . "WHERE status <> 'pending' AND user_id = :user_id"; if($start) : $sms_sql .= " AND sent_at >= :start"; $news_sql .= " AND sent_at >= :start"; $params['start'] = $start->format('Y-m-d'); endif; $sms_sql .= ' GROUP BY type, is_auto'; $news_sql .= ' GROUP BY type, is_auto'; return $this->_em->createNativeQuery("$sms_sql UNION ALL $news_sql", $rsm) >setParameters($params)->getResult(); } And this throws the exception: SQLSTATE[HY093]: Invalid parameter number: mixed named and positional parameters Array $arams is OK and so generated SQL: var_dump($params); array (size=2) 'user_id' => int 1 'start' => string '2012-01-01' (length=10) Strangest thing is that it works with "$sms_sql" only! Any help would make my day, thanks. Update Found another strange thing. If i change only the name (to start_date instead of start): if($start) : $sms_sql .= " AND sent_at >= :start_date"; $news_sql .= " AND sent_at >= :start_date"; $params['start_date'] = $start->format('Y-m-d'); endif; What happens is that Doctrine/PDO says: SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'sent1rt_date' in 'where clause' ... as string 1rt was added in the middle of the column name! Crazy...

  • Automated regression tests for java applets?

    - by Roy Tang
    We're working on a project with a number of applets that has to work across a large range of OS (WIndows, Mac, Linux), browsers (IE, FF, Safari, etc) and Java versions (1.5+), and it often happens that a fix we apply will cause some sort of security exception an another platform or some other error. Is there any way for us to prepare automated tests to immediately catch those problems in different platforms? I think it's not necessary to check that the gui parts are appearing as intended, but just to detect whether unexpected exceptions are occuring.

  • Linux memory fragmentation

    - by Raghu
    Hi all, Is there a way to detect memory fragmentation on linux ? This is because on some long running servers I have noticed performance degradation and only after I restart process I see better performance. I noticed it more when using linux huge page support -- are huge pages in linux more prone to fragmentation ? I have looked at /proc/buddyinfo in particular. I want to know whether there are any better ways to look at it.

  • Failure with LogonUser in MC++

    - by Alikar
    After fighting with this for a week I have not really gotten anywhere in why it constantly fails in my code, but not in other examples. My code, which while it compiles, will not log into a user that I know has the correct login information. Where it fails is the following line: wi = gcnew WindowsIdentity(token); It fails here because the token is zero, meaning that it was never set to a user token. Here is my full code: #ifndef UNCAPI_H #define UNCAPI_H #include <windows.h> #pragma once using namespace System; using namespace System::Runtime::InteropServices; using namespace System::Security::Principal; using namespace System::Security::Permissions; namespace UNCAPI { public ref class UNCAccess { public: //bool Logon(String ^_srUsername, String ^_srDomain, String ^_srPassword); [PermissionSetAttribute(SecurityAction::Demand, Name = "FullTrust")] bool Logon(String ^_srUsername, String ^_srDomain, String ^_srPassword) { bool bSuccess = false; token = IntPtr(0); bSuccess = LogonUser(_srUsername, _srDomain, _srPassword, 8, 0, &tokenHandle); if(bSuccess) { wi = gcnew WindowsIdentity(token); wic = wi->Impersonate(); } return bSuccess; } void UNCAccess::Logoff() { if (wic != nullptr ) { wic->Undo(); } CloseHandle((int*)token.ToPointer()); } private: [DllImport("advapi32.dll", SetLastError=true)]//[DllImport("advapi32.DLL", EntryPoint="LogonUserW", SetLastError=true, CharSet=CharSet::Unicode, ExactSpelling=true, CallingConvention=CallingConvention::StdCall)] bool static LogonUser(String ^lpszUsername, String ^lpszDomain, String ^lpszPassword, int dwLogonType, int dwLogonProvider, IntPtr *phToken); [DllImport("KERNEL32.DLL", EntryPoint="CloseHandle", SetLastError=true, CharSet=CharSet::Unicode, ExactSpelling=true, CallingConvention=CallingConvention::StdCall)] bool static CloseHandle(int *handle); IntPtr token; WindowsIdentity ^wi; WindowsImpersonationContext ^wic; };// End of Class UNCAccess }// End of Name Space #endif UNCAPI_H Now using this slightly modified example from Microsoft I was able to get a login and a token: #using <mscorlib.dll> #using <System.dll> using namespace System; using namespace System::Runtime::InteropServices; using namespace System::Security::Principal; using namespace System::Security::Permissions; [assembly:SecurityPermissionAttribute(SecurityAction::RequestMinimum, UnmanagedCode=true)] [assembly:PermissionSetAttribute(SecurityAction::RequestMinimum, Name = "FullTrust")]; [DllImport("advapi32.dll", SetLastError=true)] bool LogonUser(String^ lpszUsername, String^ lpszDomain, String^ lpszPassword, int dwLogonType, int dwLogonProvider, IntPtr* phToken); [DllImport("kernel32.dll", CharSet=System::Runtime::InteropServices::CharSet::Auto)] int FormatMessage(int dwFlags, IntPtr* lpSource, int dwMessageId, int dwLanguageId, String^ lpBuffer, int nSize, IntPtr *Arguments); [DllImport("kernel32.dll", CharSet=CharSet::Auto)] bool CloseHandle(IntPtr handle); [DllImport("advapi32.dll", CharSet=CharSet::Auto, SetLastError=true)] bool DuplicateToken(IntPtr ExistingTokenHandle, int SECURITY_IMPERSONATION_LEVEL, IntPtr* DuplicateTokenHandle); // GetErrorMessage formats and returns an error message // corresponding to the input errorCode. • CSS layout problem on Firefox with filling space between end of left column and footer

    - by Jean
    Basically, the left column is supposed to extend to the footer with the continuous red color. However, in Firefox on pages with lots of text, the column does not extend to the footer and leaves a large white gap--see site: http://library.luhs.org/JHSII/about.html I've tried readjusting the heights, creating the sticky footer, and other things I've read about on this site. So I admit that I'm stumped, and what's really odd is that the layout seems to work in IE as there is no white space! I didn't create the site, but I recently inherited it and trying to work through the mess Any help is much appreciated, here's the CSS #html,body{ margin:0; padding:0; border:0; height:100%; } #body{ background:#ffffff; min-width:965px; text-align:center; width: 600px; font: Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; } #.style7{ clear:both; height:1px; overflow:hidden; line-height:1%; font-size:0px; margin-bottom:-1px; } #fullheightcontainer{ margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto; text-align:left; position:relative; width:965px; height:100%; } #wrapper{ min-height:100%; height:100%; background:#660000; background-color: #660000; background-repeat: repeat; } #wrapp\65 r{ height:auto; } # html wrapper{ height:100%; } #outer{ z-index:1; position:relative; margin-left:150px; width:815px; background:#FFFFFF; height:100%; background-color: #FFFFFF; } #left{ width:151px; float:left; display:inline; position:relative; margin-left:-150px; } padding: 20px; border: 0; margin: 0 0 0 240px *>html #left{width:150px;} #container-left{ width:150px; color: #CCCCCC; } * html #left{margin-right:-3px;} #center{ width:800px; float:right; display:inline; margin-left:-1px; } #clearheadercenter{ height:125px; overflow:hidden; } #clearfootercenter{ height:50px; overflow:hidden; } #footer{ z-index:1; position:relative; clear: both; width:965px; height:50px; overflow:hidden; margin-top:-50px; background-color: #660000; } #subfooter1{ background:#FFFFCC; text-align:left; margin-left:150px; height:50px; } #header{ z-index:1; position:absolute; top:0px; width:815px; margin-left:150px; height:100px; overflow:hidden; background-color: #660000; } #subheader1{ background:#FFFFCC; text-align:center; height:70px; } #gfx_bg_middle{ top:0px; position:absolute; height:100%; overflow:hidden; width:815px; margin-left:150px; background:#FFFFFF; } # html #gfx_bg_middle{ display:none; } #floatingnav { margin: 5px 10px 5px 5px; padding: 0px 5px 5px; float: right; font: .75em/1.35em Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; height: 600px; width: 300px; } #floatingnav a { color: #630; } #floatingnav ul { margin-top: -5; } #.floatright { float: right; margin: 0 0 10px 10px; border: 1px solid #666; padding: 2px; } #outer{ word-wrap:break-word; } #table.s1 { border-width: medium; border-spacing: 2px; border-style: none; border-color: rgb(85, 0, 0); border-collapse: collapse; background-color: white; } #table.s1 th { border-width: medium; padding: 2px; border-style: groove; border-color: red; background-color: white; -moz-border-radius: 0px 0px 0px 0px; } #table.s1 td { border-width: medium; padding: 2px; border-style: groove; border-color: #660000; background-color: #FFFFFF; -moz-border-radius: 0px 0px 0px 0px; } #a:link { color: #000066; } #a:visited { color: #000066; } #p.sample { font-family: serif; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: medium; line-height: 100%; word-spacing: normal; letter-spacing: normal; text-decoration: none; text-transform: none; text-align: left; text-indent: 0ex; }

  • using JdcbTemplate standalone

    - by Flyhard
    Hi We are looking into using the JdbcTemplate for accessing the DB - but we have many different DB-connections, that each class could use, so injecting the jdbcTemplate is not an option atm. So if we do a jdbcTemplate = new JdbcTemplate(dataSource); what will the transaction policy be? Auto-commit is off in the DB.
