  I just can't figure it out. I'm running apache2 on a Ubuntu 10.04 i386 server. • Error installing pkgconfig via macports

  I installed Macports 1.8.2 from a DMG. That seemed to install fine. I ran sudo port selfupdate to make sure my ports tree was current. I then tried to install bindfs as I want to mount some directories in my OS X file system (like you can do with mount --bind in linux). pkgconfig and macfuse are two dependencies of bindfs. • WCF Ria Services Error : Load operation failed for query 'GetTranslationProgress'

  Hello, I am using WCF Ria Services beta in my silverlight application. I have a long running task on the server which keeps writing its status to a database table. I have a "GetTranslationProgress" Ria Service Query method which queries the state to get the status. This query method is called continuously at a regular interval of 5 seconds until a status = Finished or Error is retrieved. In some cases if the task on the server is running for a long duration 2-3 minutes then I receives this error:- Load operation failed for query 'GetTranslationProgress'. The server did not provide a meaningful reply; this might be caused by a contract mismatch, a premature session shutdown or an internal server error. at System.Windows.Ria.OperationBase.Complete(Exception error) at System.Windows.Ria.LoadOperation.Complete(Exception error) at System.Windows.Ria.DomainContext.CompleteLoad(IAsyncResult asyncResult) at System.Windows.Ria.DomainContext.<c_DisplayClass17.b_13(Object ) The error occurs intermittently and I have no idea what could be causing this error. • Zend Studio Debugger returns Application Error

  When I run debug for my public/index.php I got an application error as output. I've seen that it occurs at this line: foreach($feed->findFeedEntries($entriesLimit) as $entry) If I put a breakpoint before this, all works as expected, I mean, the error is after the line above. If I remove findFeedEntries() method, I can perform debugging without erros. I even spent 4 hrs to re-install vs2010, but still cannot solve this. If i need to re-install WIN7 for this , i will be crazy at all... How this happened? and how to overcome it? I changed NSURL *fileURL = [NSURL URLWithString:soundFilePath]; to NSURL *fileURL = [NSURL fileURLWithPath:soundFilePath]; to the latter and I was getting a weird error, weirder than the one in the subject BUT I googled that and I changed my OS input device from my webcam to my internal microphone and guess what, it worked under the fileURLWithPath method.   Hello, I would like to see if you could orient me. It happens that I compiled and referenced the boost libraries in order to use them with Visual Studio 2010.   I'm starting with Ruby, and while making some test samples, I've stumbled against an error in the code that I don't understand why it happens. The code pretends to tests if a variable finn is defined?() and if it is defined, then it increments it. If it isn't defined, then it will define it with value 0 (zero). As the code threw an error, I started to decompose it in small pieces and run it, to better trace where the error was comming from.   I’m currently writing an application for the Android platform that requires a mounted SD card (or ExternalStorage). I know that it might not be the best way to require something like that, but the application will work with quite a lot of data, and I don’t even want to think about storing that on the device’s storage. Anyway, to ensure that the application won’t run without the external storage, I do a quick check in the activity’s onCreate method. If the card is not mounted, I want to display an error message and then quit the application.   Hi, gurus: I installed opencv2.1, made a new project (proj_A) using vs2008, used it for my computer vision tasks, it works fine. I copied an old project (proj_B, also made using vs2008) from other PC, compile it with ".h" and ".lib" files copied from opencv1.0 (which I did not install onto my PC), it compiles fine. It takes 5-10 seconds. Since I don't make changes to boost headers, is there a way to cache the search through boost?   I have a asp.net web form full of ajax. Every time a postback is made, the server event execute correctly, but when the page is rendering I get this error : Error : Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: SetPartialRenderingMode can only be called once. A search with SetPartialRenderingMode on google was unsuccessful. It seems it is related to AjaxControlToolkit. I have created a simple demo project that reproduce the problem. You can find it here (VS 2008 .NET 3.5). Note that you only see the error in IE7, it doesn't work in FF either but no error appear.

• Fatal error 9001 on shared SQL Server 2008

  I've asked this same question on StackOverflow, but I might actually have a better chance for an answer here so am posting here as well. I know this question has been asked here before, but none of the suggestions have worked for me. I have an ASP.NET MVC (v. 3) website on a shared server. The website was working fine for a few weeks now, until I started getting a Fatal Error 9001 error straight after login. Because this is a shared server, there are only very limited things I can do with the database (and I don't know that much about databases anyway). The help desk insist that there is nothing wrong with their server. I got various suggestions from them: Upgrading to the business plan because I am out of space (first suggestion) Even though the .mdb file is small, the .ldb can grow very quickly. The .ldb file is probably taking up all the space. I have 100MB available, the database size is 16.5MB. Can the .ldb file take up the remaining space? On querying this with the helpdesk, they admitted that my entire db is only 25MB. There is something wrong with my SQL queries and I should check the website. I'm using EF with linq to SQL. Everything was working fine until now... Can there be something that goes wrong in the queries that causes this sort of error? There is nothing wrong to be seen in the db logs, so this error cannot possibly have happened. I should log it next time it happens and contact again. I found some posts suggesting that restoring a DB backup can get rid of the issue. I do not have a recent backup, and can't take a new one because of a fatal error 9001 occurring. Since this is a shared server I have about 0 authority to execute anything against the DB (think CHECKDB, truncating the log, etc.). So I am at my wits end pretty much. What else can I do/try to get my website moving again?

  I have an Excel spreadsheet. I am connecting to an Access database via ODBC. Something along then lines of: Set dbEng = CreateObject("DAO.DBEngine.40") Set oWspc = dbEng.CreateWorkspace("ODBCWspc", "", "", dbUseODBC) Set oConn = oWspc.OpenConnection("Connection", , True, "ODBC;DSN=CLIENTDB;") Then I use a query and fetch a result set to get some table data. Set oQuery = oConn.CreateQueryDef("tmpQuery") oQuery.Sql = "SELECT idField, memoField FROM myTable" Set oRs = oQuery.OpenRecordset The problem now arises. My field is a dbMemo because the maximum content length is up to a few hundred chars. It's not that long, and in fact the value I'm reading is only a dozen characters. But Excel just doesn't seem able to handle the Memo field content at all. My code... ActiveCell = oRs.Fields("memoField") ...gives error Run-time error '3146': ODBC--call failed. Any suggestions? Can Excel VBA actually get at memo field data? Or is it just completely impossible. I get exactly the same error from GetChunk as well. ActiveCell = oRs.Fields("memoField").GetChunk(0, 2) ...also gives error Run-time error '3146': ODBC--call failed. Converting to a text field makes everything work fine. However some data is truncated to 255 characters of course, which means that isn't a workable solution.
