  How I can lookup a specific date in Nhibernate? I'm currently using this to lookup one day's order. ICriteria criteria = SessionManager.CurrentSession.CreateCriteria(typeof(Order)) .Add(Expression.Between("DateCreated", date.Date.AddDays(-1), date.Date.AddDays(1))) .AddOrder(NHibernate.Criterion.Order.Desc("OrderID")); I tried the following code, but they did bring the data for me. Expression.Eq("DateCreated", date) Expression.Like("DateCreated", date) Note: The pass in date value will be like this 2010-04-03 00:00:00, The actual date value in the database will be like this 2010-03-13 11:17:16.000 Can anyone let me know how to do this?   I am trying to build a 3rd party open source project using MinGW. One of the dependencies is wxWidgets. When I try to make the project from MSYS I get a compiler error from /MinGW/msys/1.0/local/include/wx-2.8/wx/msw/private.h In function 'COLORREF wxColourToRGB(const wxColour&)': error: cannot convert 'RGB' to 'COLORREF {aka long unsigned in}' in return This is somewhat odd given that, according to Microsoft the RGB macro returns a COLORREF. In fact, looking in H:\MinGW\include I find wingdi.h with the following code #define RGB(r,g,b) ((COLORREF)((BYTE)(r)|((BYTE)(g) << 8)|((BYTE)(b) << 16))) What sort of thing would cause this error? Is there some way I can check to see if COLORREF and RGB are being included from wingdi.h and not somewhere else? Is that even worth checking? Specifications GCC version 4.7.2 wxWidgets version 2.8.12 (I'm new to C++ and MinGW specifically but generally computer and programming literate)

  This is my script - it simply looks for the image file associated to a person record. Now the error will display if there is NO .jpg evident when the query runs. • "too many threads error" in blackberry OS-4.5

  hi in my application i have 20 icons(bitmap fields) on the home screen When i click on any icon an HTTP request is made in a separate thread. I have used invoke later method wherever necessary to take care of multi-threading problems. But still the number of threads goes beyond 16 and an error pops up indicating too many threads error and applications needs to be restarted!! can anybody tell me how to destroy these threads when they are no longer in use. I don't understand why they don't destroy on their own as usually they do.

• malloc hangs in Linux

  I am using Linux on a 16 G with 2 quad core CPU. There are 8 processes which are doing some work (CPU intensive/network i/o). Out of which 4 have a memory leak (These are test conditions so no problem in having leaks here). Total space is occupied by all processes is around 15.4 G only 200 MB is free in system. Things are fine for some hours. But after that malloc hangs (for a process which doesn't have a memory leak). Its stuck for for more than 4 minutes (Note CPU is not 100% but io has gone up signficantly). Now there is no problem in the hanged process. (It has not corrupted the memory). What malloc is doing? (is it tryibg to defragment or builidng up swap space).I am using SUSE 10. Any pointers?

  I'm dealing with blobs of up to - I estimate - about 100 kilo bytes in size. The data is compressed already. Storage engine: InnoDB on MySQL 5.1 Frontend: PHP (Symfony with Propel ORM) Some questions: I've read somewhere that it's not good to update blobs, because it leads to reallocation, fragmentation, and thus bad performance. Is that true? Any reference on this? Initially the blobs get constructed by appending data chunks. Each chunk is up to 16 kilo bytes in size. Is it more efficient to use a separate chunk table instead, for example with fields as below? parent_id, position, chunk Then, to get the entire blob, one would do something like: SELECT GROUP_CONCAT(chunk ORDER BY position) FROM chunks WHERE parent_id = 187 The result would be used in a PHP script. Is there any difference between the types of blobs, aside from the size needed for meta data, which should be negligible.

The query in its current form is very slow, takes a minute to execute over 16 million tags. What should I do to make it faster? I have a non clustered index (objectid, tag, type) Any suggestions?

• Need a Javascript Expert, IE slow script

  I have a jQuery plugin running on my site that is executing very, very slowly in IE7/8 to the point that it throws a slow script warning to the user. It doesn't happen in any other browser, and I can't figure out what might be going on. If you go to this page: http://dev.xeetic.org/projects You'll see that there are 16 results on each page, and each one has a "flip" behavior attached, using the jQuery plugin "quickflip." Attaching this behavior is very slow in IE. If I reduce the result set to 8 or 4 per page, it's faster, but still very bogged down. I have contacted the author of the script with no success. I am willing to pay for a solution, if I'm allowed to offer such a thing on this site. Very desperate. Please help!

  On our development sql server, executing any query containing more than approximately 700 characters stalls for about 10 seconds and then reports the following error: Msg 121, Level 20, State 0, Line 0 A transport-level error has occurred when receiving results from the server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The semaphore timeout period has expired.) for example, this query select * from FooTable where id = ' (.. and then 700 spaces ..) ' fails fails with the timeout error while this one select * from FooTable where id = ' (.. and then 600 spaces ..) ' fails with the expected Msg 8169, Level 16, State 2, Line 1 Conversion failed when converting from a character string to uniqueidentifier. - immediately. Indeed, throwing any query, including random garbage at our dev sql server exhibits this behaviour, while any other sql server I have available acts as expected, so I would think that the query never actually gets to parsing on the server. I'm at a loss here - any hints?

For example, if I have the number 190 then I expect to find the more approximated value in the Enum to return the 192 (kbps_192 value of the Enum), if I have the number 196 then again I expect to return the value 192 (not return the next value 224 because is less approximated). • Which tool should I use for finding out my memory allocation in Perl?

  I've slurped in a big file using File::Slurp but given the size of the file I can see that I must have it in memory twice or perhaps it's getting inflated by being turned into 16 bit unicode. How can I best diagnose that sort of a problem in Perl? The file I pulled in is 800mb in size and my perl process that's analysing that data has roughly 1.6gb allocated at runtime. I realise that I may be wrong about my reason for the problem but I'm not sure the most efficient way to prove/disprove my theory.

  I am trying to capture video from usb camera using OpenCv. #include <highgui.h> #include <iostream> using namespace std; using namespace cv ; int main() { VideoCapture cap (-1); if(!cap.isOpened()) cout << "Cam initialize failed" ; else cout << "Cam initialized" ; return 0; } It is failing to initialize the camera. cap.isOpened() is returning zero. The same program, with same version of OpenCv and same usb camera, is correctly running in my friend's machine. I am running fedora 16. I did some searching in Google and Stack Overflow.   I have a table like the one below. How can I get Excel to put borders around groups with the same number in the 4th column so that there is a border around the groups. I was thinking conditional formatting could do it but I can't think how. So I think the only option is a macro.
