  • 505 (HTTP version not supported) sent to client when ASP.NET application attempts to access WCF service

    We have created a DLL to facilitate access of a 3rd-party WCF Service. This DLL works fine in a Windows Application on our test machines, but when we try to use it in an ASP.NET application on our web server, our web server returns a 505 HTTP version not supported error to the client. To clarify, the setup is Client-Server-WCF Service. Using Fiddler, I can tell that our server is not making requests to the WCF Service. The calls are wrapped in a try/catch block, but no Exception occurs. Instead, as soon as the call to the service is attempted, our server returns a 505 error to the client and terminates execution. We are using clientCertificate authentication over HTTPS with serviceCertificate certificateValidationMode set to "None". Thanks

Consider I have a class: class Test: def __init__(self, x, y): self.x = x self.y = y def wow(): print 5 * 5 Now I try to create an object of the class: x = Test(3, 4) This works as expected. However, when I try to call the method wow(), it returns an error, which is fixed by changing wow() to: def wow(self) Why do I need to include self and if I don't, what does the method mean?2. In the definition of __init__: def __init__(self, x, y): self.x = x self.y = y Why do I need to declare x and y, when I can do this: def __init__(self): self.x = x self.y = y I hope I am being clear...     Hello. I'm PHP-programmer, but I'm extremely interested in learning Java. So I decided to change speciality from PHP to Java. At the moment I have an opportunity to try to make quite simple web-application (it should contain 2-3 forms, several pages with information from the database and authorization module) and also I have a chance to choose any technology I want. Besides I have about 3 months for this task. I've decided to develop site with Java technologies for the purpose of studying. I've already read a book about Java ("Java2 Complete Reference" by P.Naughton) and currently I'm reading "Thinking in Java" by B.Eckel. I clearly understand it's not enough for efficient development, but I want, at least, to try. I would be very appreciated for the advises, which framework (for example) or technology to choose (Spring, Grails etc.) and what primary aspects and technologies of Java should I pay attention to?     Well, I'm trying to gzdeflate my code to perform some very low level encryption for distribution, to use with eval(gzinflate('deflated_code')); However whenever I try to inflate the deflated string, it outputs an error. For example: echo(gzdeflate('test')); outputs +I-.? But when I try to echo(gzinflate('+I-.?')); it only outputs Warning: gzinflate() [function.gzinflate]: data error Is there something I'm missing? Why is it outputting this error rather than test?

    I work with Delphi 6 and SQL Server 2008. With Windows Vista everything runs ok. But since i change my OS to Windows 7 all my projects started to show a message when i'm trying to compile them that says "Stored procedure (SPname). Doesn't found or doesn't exist in the server. I look my server and it has the Sp with the correct name. i used ODBC connection and try the SQL Server and the SQL Native client 10.0 but the problem continues. the projects connect to the D.B with no problem until i try to run a SP. if i run the same projects in a vista again they work fine. If any of you can help me i really appreciate.......

    Java generates a proxy class for a given interface and provides the instance of the proxy class. But when we type cast the proxy object to our specific Object, how java handles this internally? Is this treated as special scenario? For example I have class 'OriginalClass' and it implements 'OriginalInterface', when I create proxy object by passing 'OriginalInterface' interface java created proxy class 'ProxyClass' using methods in the provided interface and provides object of this class(i.e ProxyClass). If my understanding is correct then can you please answer following queries 1) When I type cast object of ProxyClass to my class OriginalClass this works, but how java is allowing this? Same in case of instace of? 2) As my knowledge java creates a proxy class only with the methods, but what happen when I try to access attributes on this object? 3) Only interface methods are getting implemented in Proxy, but what happens when I try to access a method which not in interface and only mentioned in the class? Currently, my script is following: grep -srhw "[[:alnum:]]*@[[:alnum:]]*" /etc It working OK - a see some of the emails, but when i modify it, to catch the one-or-more charactes before- and after the "@" sign ... grep -srhw "[[:alnum:]]+@[[:alnum:]]+" /etc .. it stops working at all Also, it does't catches emails of form "[email protected]" Help !

  • Database Engine not appearing in SQL Server listing

    I don't know if I'm searching for the wrong queries in google but I can't seem to find an answer to this. I have SQL Server 2008 installed in my pc and according to services.msc, I've got 2 database engines running: SQLEXPRESS (probably one that came along with Visual Studio) and MSSQLSERVER. When I try to connect only SQLEXPRESS is visible in the Server Name drop down list. I tried to explicitly state MSSQLSERVER by typing in MYPCNAME\MSSQLSERVER Didn't work. The best solution I could find in the internet was to enable stuff at Configuration Manager. Didn't work either (although I did find that TCP/VIA and all other options were disabled for MSSQLSERVER). Anyone have any other ideas on what I should try next or probably something that I overlooked?

    I am creating a bluetooth application. I created a simple midlet with a exit command and i create a thread for finding the service and discovering the device. While doing so it displays a animated screen on which i added the parent commandListener for exit command. After successful connection both user is represented with greetings(Current screen calls the parent Display method setCurrent for displaying itself). This screen also have CommandListener set to the parent. Now i want to add few more commands. I Implemented the CommandLIstener Interface in this class, added few commands but the commands are not working. I dont whats wen wrong.   • Windows Phone 7 Application + WCF + SSL + Username Authentication

    Hello, I have developed a test service with WCF, which I try to consume from a Windows Phone 7 Application, however when calling a method from the service I get a weird exception: There was no endpoint listening at https://server/Service.svc that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. The WCF service uses a custom binding with UserNameOverTransport authentication and SSL. For the authorization I am using an implementation of the UserNamePasswordValidator. If I try to consume the service from a console or silverlight application (cross domain policy is enabled) - it works fine (authorization as well). And the most weird thing is that the ServiceReferences.ClientConfig file generated for the WP7 App is exactly the same as the config file generated for the silverlight application. I have no idea what is wrong with my service...

    I try to access some values in a NSMutableArray I created, but I only get some numbers (address?) if I try to access them. I was able to initialize an array and can add and change objects with [myNSMutableArray addObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:10]] and [myNSMutableArray replaceObjectAtIndex:0 withObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:47] I also can print the value at index [0] with NSLog(@"%@", [myNSMutableArray objectAtIndex:0]); and I get 47 as expected. But how can I access the integer value of the object in the array so I can save it tomyIntValue?

    I have a WCF webservice I can connect to it via basicHttp, but not wsHttp. I try to conenct to it via wshttp via the following: $service = new SoapClient ("http://service.companyname.local:6666/Service/?wsdl", array( "location" => "http://service.companyname.local:6666/Service/WCF", "trace" => true, 'soap_version' => SOAP_1_2 ) ); The call to the SoapClient constructor returns fine. When I try to call one using $client-FunctionName, the page just sits there loading for quite a while, and eventually returns the error "Error Fetching http headers". What exactly is this supposed to mean and how do I fix it? (Consuming the service from .Net client works perfectly.)
