• Custom PHPINIDir setting in VirtualHost affecting other VirtualHosts

  One of the clients requested a personal php.ini configuration for his website, so I have set his VirtualHost as follows: <VirtualHost *:80> DocumentRoot "/home/alex/www.domain.tld" ServerName www.domain.tld AssignUserID alex alex PHPINIDir /home/alex/php.ini </VirtualHost> The client created php.ini file under /home/alex/ which contains only this setting: session.save_path = "/home/alex/.php_sessions/" Afterall he started to complaint that he sees all other session files generated by other clients' websites. After doing some basic troubleshooting, I realized, that his php.ini settings are affecting all websites specified in the httpd-vhosts.conf. Question is why? Since PHPINIDir is only specified inside one specific VirtualHost?

• Enable H.264 (or x264) in AVIDemux

  I am trying to get AVIDemux set up with the X264 codec using this tutorial. The following is what goes down when I get to the ./configure --enable-mp4-output command Thomas-Phillipss-MacBook:x264 tomdabomb2u$ sudo ./configure --enable-mp4-output Password: Unknown option --enable-mp4-output, ignored Found no assembler Minimum version is yasm-0.6.2 If you really want to compile without asm, configure with --disable-asm. So I tried it. Thomas-Phillipss-MacBook:x264 tomdabomb2u$ sudo ./configure --enable-mp4-output --disable-asm Unknown option --enable-mp4-output, ignored Warning: gpac is too old, update to 2007-06-21 UTC or later Platform: X86_64 System: MACOSX asm: no avs: no lavf: no ffms: no gpac: no pthread: yes filters: crop select_every debug: no gprof: no PIC: no shared: no visualize: no bit depth: 8 You can run 'make' or 'make fprofiled' now. And as expected, the results are: x264 [error]: not compiled with MP4 output support So I'm stuck. Any ideas?

I've looked at various examples and answers but they seem to create duplicate rows or require indexes (merge on datatable etc) I can't do this via SQL as one source is from a linked Oracle server accessed via MSSQL and the other from a different MSSQL Server that does not have linked access. • Need help with Swift mailer with Kohana wrapper

  My current code is this $swift = email::connect(); $swift->setSubject('hello') ->setFrom(array('[email protected]' => 'Alex')) ->setTo(array('[email protected]' => 'Alex')) ->setBody('hello') ->attach(Swift_Attachment::fromPath(DOCROOT . 'assets/attachments/instructions.pdf')); $swift->send(); The email::connect() returns an instance of SwiftMailer. As per these docs, it would seem that it should work. However, I get an error Fatal error: Call to undefined method Swift_Mailer::setSubject() in /home/user/public_html/application/classes/controller/properties.php on line 45 I've seen that email::connect() does exactly what the example code in the docs does. That is include the correct file return an instance of the library What am I doing wrong? Thanks

How can I prevent this and see actual variable value? In general case, var can be more complicated than "*", for example: "home/alex/mydir/*".

• Quickly, syntax error: media_grid.show()

  i run the app and get this error. the little arrow points to the 'd', dont know what that means. plus i had the same error just before but on this line: from quickly.widgets.dictionary grid import DictionaryGrid the arrow pointed to the 'd' in grid as well. then i changed it to this: from quickly.widgets.dictionary_grid import DictionaryGrid i added a '_' in the middle. and now i have the syntax error in the question. • How to install new Intel Ethernet driver

  Ubuntu 12.04 x64 doesn't recognize newest Intel Ethernet adapter on my desktop (Intel Ethernet Connection i217-V). I downloaded required driver from Intel and compiled it using make. Now I have: alex@alex64-six:~$ find / -name 'e1000e.ko' 2>/dev/null /home/alex/Documents/IntelEthernetDriver/e1000e-3.0.4/src/e1000e.ko /lib/modules/3.2.0-64-generic/kernel/drivers/net/ethernet/intel/e1000e/e1000e.ko The first line is new driver compiled from Intel sources. The second line is probably existing driver from Ubuntu distribution, which doesn't recognize new Ethernet adapter. How can I apply the new driver instead of existing one? Any other solution is welcome. For now, I cannot upgrade to latest Ubuntu release, because I use some third-party products.

  Trying to install CollabNet Subversion Client on Solaris x64, but I'm hung up with: ## Verifying signature for signer <Alexander Thomas(AT)> pkgadd: ERROR: Signature verification failed while verifying certificate <subject=Alexander Thomas(AT), issuer=Alexander Thomas(AT)>:<self signed certificate>. Any way to just bypass the certificate check? None of the options listed in the man page seemed appropriate.

  Hi, I am basically teaching myself how to use RoR and MongoDB at the same time. I am following the very good book / tutorial : http://railstutorial.org/ I decided to replace Sqlite3 by MongoDB using the mongomapper gem. Everything works out about alright, but I am having some non-blocking little issues that I truly wish I could get rid of. In chapter 6, when working with validation I got 2 issues: - I don't know how to get the validations messages back like with Sqlite3. The "standard" code is: $ rails console --sandbox >> user = User.new(:name => "", :email => "[email protected]") >> user.save => false >> user.valid? => false >> user.errors.full_messages => ["Name can't be blank"] but if I try to do the same with MongoMapper, it throws an error saying that errors is undefined function. So does it mean that this is simply not implemented in mongomapper / mongo driver ? Or is there some other clever way to do this that I could not figure ?   how can I backup and restore my horde sql database The Databse ist located in /var/lib/mysql/horde There are many *.frm files and one db.opt My Server ist broken, so I want to reinstall it. Can i copy this files to a USB Stick, then restore the entire server without horde and then simply copy the files in the same directory? • ubuntu 11.10 foreman error

  Like this post I am also trying to complete this heroku tutorial I have installed and used everything (node.js, npm, express) successfully until I got to Foreman. I installed Foreman by first installing Ruby: alex@ubuntu:~$ sudo apt-get install ruby1.9.1 then installing Foreman. • Is there an high quality natural text reader for the mac?

  I'm reading about 150 pages of text on screen, every day. I will have to read about 15.000 in the next upcoming months. No joke. Well, the problem is this: I suffer from a sort of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder which forces me to read every sentence up to 10 times until I really get it. Mac OS X Snow Leopard has a built-in text reader with the name "Alex". Although it is already pretty good quality, I know there are far better natural sounding voices out there. I have heard already voices that are absolutely amazing compared to Alex. They're so good, that you can't tell anymore the difference between a real person or a computer. Alex still has this "metal factor" in its voice, which makes my ears hurt after 8 hours of listening. The next problem with Alex is, that he never makes a break after a sentence. Also, it's not possible to think about a sentence and then continue reading. It's also not possible to have him repeat a sentence, without tedious text selection and shortcut usage. Actually, the best tool I can imagine would have the option to read a sentence and move on to the next one after pressing a special key, OR repeating the previously one after pressing a special key. That would help so much! And if that's even with one of those bell lab / AT&T / whatever super-natural voices, even better! But it would be already a great relief if there was just a better tool to control Alex. To let him make breaks after sentences or let him speak big chunks of text sentence-by-sentence with fine-grained control over repetition and moving on. Is there anything?

• Ubuntu CD Boots to Black Screen

  I have a new Asus N76 Notebook and just downloaded the lastest ubuntu 12.10 desktop CD (x64). When I boot from the CD, I get to the selection asking to try or install Ubuntu (the text screen not the one with the Ubuntu logo). When I select one of these options, I get only a black screen. I have tried nomodeset, acpi=off but it does not change anything. I also tried booting a CD and an USB stick (same result). I have no idea what to try next. I have installed Ubuntu on several computers yet, never had this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Thomas

• SQL query to count and list the different counties per zip code

  I have a sql server 2005 table called ZipCode, which has all the US ZIPs in it. For each entry, it lists the zip, county, city, state, and several other details. Some zipcodes span multiple cities and some even span multiple counties. As a result, some zipcodes appear many times in the table. I am trying to query the table to see which zipcodes go across multiple counties. This is what I have so far: select zipcode, count(zipcode) as total, county, state from zipcode group by zipcode, county, state order by zipcode Of 19248 records in the result set, here are the first several records returned: zipcode total county state 00501 2 SUFFOLK NY 00544 2 SUFFOLK NY 00801 3 SAINT THOMAS VI 00802 3 SAINT THOMAS VI 00803 3 SAINT THOMAS VI 00804 3 SAINT THOMAS VI 00805 1 SAINT THOMAS VI 00820 2 SAINT CROIX VI 00821 1 SAINT CROIX VI 00822 1 SAINT CROIX VI 00823 2 SAINT CROIX VI 00824 2 SAINT CROIX VI In this particular example, each zip with a total of two or more happens to be in the table more than once, and it's because the "cityaliasname" (not shown) or some other column differs. But I just want to know which zips are in there more than once because the county column differs. I searched before posting this and I found many questions about counting records but I could not figure out how to apply them to my problem. Please forgive me if there is already a question whose answer applies to this question.
