  • Google Chrome freezing when I open Bookmark Manager

    I have an issue with Google Chrome freezing whenever I open the Bookmark Manager. Only that particular tab freezes, and I can still use the other tabs. No bookmarks appear, and I cannot type in the 'Search bookmarks' field. This seems to be related with my logged in profile. If I change profile, it allows me to login. I've also tried to login with my profile on different computers using Chrome, and it also freezes. However, I can still add bookmarks from the bookmarks tab. I just cannot use the Bookmark Manager. Any ideas what I can do? Is it possible to somehow export my bookmarks, reset the profile bookmarks (without losing other information like extensions etc), and re-import them?

  • Ubuntu Chromium bookmark icons blank

    Ever so often I load Chromium and it refuses to load my profile. Now that doesn't happen any more but since then it refuses to load the icons for my bookmarks which, if you look at the attached pic, is my only way of identifying which icons do what (other than hover for tool-tip, or actually pressing the icon button). The other possible variable is that the bookmarks are meant to sync with Google sync - I'm not sure if that is a factor. How do I restore the icons to my bookmark bar? Chromium version: Version 20.0.1132.47 Ubuntu 12.04 (144678)

  • Print each bookmark of a PDF separately

    I have a very large (1000 page) PDF which contains about 100, ten page each documents one after the other. I would like to have them sent to my office printer as individual files so my office printer will print them double sided and staple each one individually. I'm using Adobe Acrobat X and think the first step is to bookmark the start of each of those 100 documents. I don't know the next step though. I also have a batch printing program so if i can extract each of those 100 bookmarks to individual files that would work too. Thanks for all the help.

    Hello All, does anyone have a VBA code to create a bookmark into the first column of an MSWord table? Let's say I have a table looking like this .-----.----------------. . ref . Title . .-----.----------------. . 1 . Title 1 . .-----.----------------. . 2 . Title 2 . .-----.----------------. . foo . Title 3 . .-----.----------------. . bar . Title 4 . .-----.----------------. and I want a VBA code fragment that creates a bookmark named "T1_1" on the string "1" in row 2 / column 1, and bookmarks named "T1_2", "T1_foo" and "T1_bar" on the strings in the other cells of column 1. I don't mind to hardcode the prefix "T1" (and substitute for other tables each time). I don't mind to select tables before running the macro, I don't mind giving those cells a special format, and I don't mind to get a superfluous bookmark "T1_ref" from the first row - so the code doesn't need to distinguish between table title and table row.     I am looking for a tool, which helps me to organize my personal bookmarks. I want to be able to assign tags and free comments to a bookmark. I want to search my bookmarks by tags date of bookmarking pattern in title pattern in url It would be nice to be web based to enable sharing my bookmarks between different machines. But for it would be OK, if it works on a single machine as long as it has some import/export way to transfer the links to a new machine replacing the old. As browsers I'm using Firefox and ChromePlus. It would be nice, if the solution works with both browsers. With free comments, I mean additional remarks stored for a bookmark, which is not essential for searching.

  • Push a bookmark to a user's home screen in Android

    Android 2.1 (not sure how much that matters) My test hardware is a Motorola Droid (not sure how much that matters either) I want to push a bookmark/internet-shortcut to a user's home screen as a result of them clicking on a link - via their browser of choice. I know they can usually set the bookmark themselves and then choose to put it on their home screen. But I'd like to provide a link like "Put a shortcut to this page on your home screen" that takes care of everything kind of in the background/underneath. Is this even possible? What parts of the framework would I need access to to make it happen?

  • Windows Workflow Foundation 4 (WF4) Bookmark

    I'm working with Visual Studio 2010 and have a workflow where I'm trying to resume a bookmark. The bookmark appears to be getting set just fine, but when I try to run the code below to resume it, I get an entry in the InstancesTable in the persistence database with the SurrogateLockOwnerID field set to an integer, usually this field is null, and I can no longer do anything with the workflow. I think this is indicating that I have some kind of blocking lock going on, but I can't find any references anywhere to the SurrogateLockOwnerID. Does anyone know what is causing this, and how to fix it?     I ran across a situation at work the other day where we were trying to move a pile of .url files on a Windows XP machine to bookmarks under Firefox on Mac OS X 10.5.8. It proved very frustrating, as we didn't have access to the source machine anymore (where we could have exported the bookmarks properly). Does anyone have a solution for that one?

  • Add Bookmark to IE automatically for new users on a computer

    When I set up a PC, I would like to be able to have it so when anyone logs into that PC from the domain a couple of IT bookmarks will be in IE. I read I can do this with a Domain-Level group policy, but unfortunately, with my current domain group policies have not gone well, so I have fear (Rather not get into this in this question). Can I do this at the PC level when I deploy a new computer? So any domain users who log into the PC will have these bookmarks added when their profile is created (no roaming profiles). These are XP machines, and the domain is run by 2003 controllers.

    In Firefox, how do I set up URL shortcuts that include a wildcard, %s? I have definitely set this up before on another computer. For example, if I wanted to view a Jira ticket, I would enter jira XXX-1234 into the address bar and it would take me to http://jira.sutureself.com:1234/browse/XXX-1234. I remember the entry added to Firefox would be http://jira.sutureself.com:1234/browse/%s, but I can't remember where I add that. EDIT I might add, I have done this without any additional addons.
