  • Translate Java to Python -- signing strings with PEM certificate files

    - by erikcw
I'm trying to translate the follow Java into its Python equivalent. // certificate is contents of https://fps.sandbox.amazonaws.com/certs/090909/PKICert.pem // signature is a string that I need to verify. CertificateFactory factory = CertificateFactory.getInstance("X.509"); X509Certificate x509Certificate = (X509Certificate) factory.generateCertificate(new ByteArrayInputStream(certificate.getBytes())); Signature signatureInstance = Signature.getInstance(signatureAlgorithm); signatureInstance.initVerify(x509Certificate.getPublicKey()); signatureInstance.update(stringToSign.getBytes(UTF_8_Encoding)); return signatureInstance.verify(Base64.decodeBase64(signature.getBytes())); This is for the PKI signature verification used by AWS FPS. http://docs.amazonwebservices.com/AmazonFPS/latest/FPSAccountManagementGuide/VerifyingSignature.html Thanks for your help!

  • Print gif using java on a 4x6" paper

    - by Wienczny
What is the best way in Java to print a gif given as byte[] or ByteArrayInputStream on a paper with a size of 4x6 inches? This: PrintRequestAttributeSet aset = new HashPrintRequestAttributeSet(); aset.add(new MediaSize(4, 6, Size2DSyntax.INCH)); aset.add(new Copies(1)); PrintService[] pservices = PrintServiceLookup.lookupPrintServices(DocFlavor.INPUT_STREAM.GIF, aset); DocPrintJob printJob = pservices[0].createPrintJob(); Doc doc = new SimpleDoc(sap.getGraphicImageBytes(), DocFlavor.INPUT_STREAM.GIF, null); printJob.print(doc, aset); does not work because the MediaSize is not a PrintRequestAttribute. This should be almost the same as in Package javax.print Description

  • Format XML with JAXB during unmarshal

    - by Tobiask
Hi there, I want to format a XML document during unmarshal with JAXB. Unmarshal looks like: Unmarshaller u = createAndsetUpUnmarshaller(enableValidation, evtHandler, clazz); return u.unmarshal(new ByteArrayInputStream(stringSource.getBytes())); While marshaling one can format the code via: marshaller.setProperty(Marshaller.JAXB_FORMATTED_OUTPUT, Boolean.TRUE); But this isn´t possible for the unmarchal process... Any idea how I can format the XML string with JAXB during (or after) unmarshal process? BTW: I read some posts here about pretty print, but I want to do it with JAXB!

  • Write wave files to memory in Java

    - by Cliff
I'm trying to figure out why my servlet code creates wave files with improper headers. I use: AudioSystem.write( new AudioInputStream( new ByteArrayInputStream(memoryBytes), new AudioFormat(22000, 16, 1, true, false), memoryBytes.length ), AudioFileFormat.Type.WAVE, servletOutputStream ); taking a byte array from memory containing raw PCM samples and a servlet output stream that gets returned to the client. In the result I get a normal wave file but with zeros in the chunk size fields. Is the API broken? I would think that the size could be filled in using the size passed in the audio input stream. But now, after typing this out I'm thinking its not making this info available to the outer write() method on AudioSystem. It seems like the AudioSystem.write call needs a size parameter unless it is able to pull the size from the stream... which wouldn't work with an arbitrary sized stream. Does anyone know how to make this example work?

Is it because i am using a swingworker to update the contents of the panel every second. Here is my code to update the panel RenderedImage image = ImageIO.read(new ByteArrayInputStream((byte[]) get())); Graphics graphics = remote.rdpanel.getGraphics(); if (graphics != null) { Image readyImage = new ImageIcon(UtilityFunctions.convertRenderedImage(image)).getImage(); graphics.drawImage(readyImage, 0, 0, remote.rdpanel.getWidth(), remote.rdpanel.getHeight(), null); }

  • which xml validator will work perfectly for multithreading project

    - by Sunil Kumar Sahoo
Hi All, I have used jdom for xml validation against schema. The main problem there is that it gives an error FWK005 parse may not be called while parsing The main reason was that multiple of threads working for xerces validation at the same time. SO I got the solution that i have to lock that validation. which is not good So I want to know which xml validator works perfectly for multithreading project public static HashMap validate(String xmlString, Validator validator) { HashMap<String, String> map = new HashMap<String, String>(); long t1 = System.currentTimeMillis(); DocumentBuilder builder = null; try { //obtain lock to proceed // lock.lock(); try { builder = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance().newDocumentBuilder(); // Source source = new DOMSource(builder.parse(new ByteArrayInputStream(xmlString.getBytes()))); validator.validate(new StreamSource(new StringReader(xmlString))); map.put("ISVALID", "TRUE"); logger.info("We have successfuly validated the schema"); } catch (Exception ioe) { ioe.printStackTrace(); logger.error("NOT2 VALID STRING IS :" + xmlString); map.put("MSG", ioe.getMessage()); // logger.error("IOException while validating the input XML", ioe); } logger.info(map); long t2 = System.currentTimeMillis(); logger.info("XML VALIDATION TOOK:::" + (t2 - t1)); } catch (Exception e) { logger.error(e); } finally { //release lock // lock.unlock(); builder = null; } return map; } Thanks Sunil Kumar Sahoo

  • Serialize XML child and keep namespaces in Java

    - by Guido García
I have an Document object that is modeling a XML like this one: <RootNode xmlns="http://a.com/a" xmlns:b="http://b.com/b"> <Child /> </RootNode> Using Java DOM, I need to get the <Child> node and serialize it to XML, but keeping the root node namespaces. This is what I currently have, but it does not serialize the namespaces: public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception { String xml = "<RootNode xmlns='http://a.com/a' xmlns:b='http://b.com/b'><Child /></RootNode>"; DocumentBuilder builder = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance().newDocumentBuilder(); Document doc = builder.parse(new ByteArrayInputStream(xml.getBytes())); Node childNode = doc.getFirstChild().getFirstChild(); // serialize to string StringWriter sw = new StringWriter(); DOMSource domSource = new DOMSource(childNode); StreamResult streamResult = new StreamResult(sw); TransformerFactory tf = TransformerFactory.newInstance(); Transformer serializer = tf.newTransformer(); serializer.transform(domSource, streamResult); String serializedXML = sw.toString(); System.out.println(serializedXML); } Current output: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Child/> Expected output: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Child xmlns='http://a.com/a' xmlns:b='http://b.com/b' />

  • how to convert byte array to image in java?

    - by nemade-vipin
I am developing a Web application in Java. In that application, I have created webservices in Java. In that webservice, I have created one webmethod which returns the image list in base64 format. The return type of the method is Vector. In webservice tester I can see the SOAP response as xsi:type="xs:base64Binary". Then I called this webmethod in my application. I used the following code: SBTSWebService webService = null; List imageArray = null; List imageList = null; webService = new SBTSWebService(); imageArray = webService.getSBTSWebPort().getAddvertisementImage(); Iterator itr = imageArray.iterator(); while(itr.hasNext()) { String img = (String)itr.next(); byte[] bytearray = Base64.decode(img); BufferedImage imag=ImageIO.read(new ByteArrayInputStream(bytearray)); imageList.add(imag); } In this code I am receiving the error: java.lang.ClassCastException: [B cannot be cast to java.lang.String" on line String img = (String)itr.next(); Is there any mistake in my code? Or is there any other way to bring the image in actual format? Can you provide me the code or link through which I can resolve the above issue? Note:- I already droped this question and I got the suggetion to try the following code Object next = iter.next(); System.out.println(next.getClass()) I tried this code and got the output as byte[] from webservice. but I am not able to convert this byte array to actual image. is there any other way to bring the image in actual format? Can you provide me the code or link through which I can resolve the above issue?

  • What can cause my code to run slower when the server JIT is activated?

    - by durandai
I am doing some optimizations on an MPEG decoder. To ensure my optimizations aren't breaking anything I have a test suite that benchmarks the entire codebase (both optimized and original) as well as verifying that they both produce identical results (basically just feeding a couple of different streams through the decoder and crc32 the outputs). When using the "-server" option with the Sun 1.6.0_18, the test suite runs about 12% slower on the optimized version after warmup (in comparison to the default "-client" setting), while the original codebase gains a good boost running about twice as fast as in client mode. While at first this seemed to be simply a warmup issue to me, I added a loop to repeat the entire test suite multiple times. Then execution times become constant for each pass starting at the 3rd iteration of the test, still the optimized version stays 12% slower than in the client mode. I am also pretty sure its not a garbage collection issue, since the code involves absolutely no object allocations after startup. The code consists mainly of some bit manipulation operations (stream decoding) and lots of basic floating math (generating PCM audio). The only JDK classes involved are ByteArrayInputStream (feeds the stream to the test and excluding disk IO from the tests) and CRC32 (to verify the result). I also observed the same behaviour with Sun JDK 1.7.0_b98 (only that ist 15% instead of 12% there). Oh, and the tests were all done on the same machine (single core) with no other applications running (WinXP). While there is some inevitable variation on the measured execution times (using System.nanoTime btw), the variation between different test runs with the same settings never exceeded 2%, usually less than 1% (after warmup), so I conclude the effect is real and not purely induced by the measuring mechanism/machine. Are there any known coding patterns that perform worse on the server JIT? Failing that, what options are available to "peek" under the hood and observe what the JIT is doing there?

  • Why do I get empty request from the Jakarta Commons HttpClient?

    - by polyurethan
I have a problem with the Jakarta Commons HttpClient. Before my self-written HttpServer gets the real request there is one request which is completely empty. That's the first problem. The second problem is, sometimes the request data ends after the third or fourth line of the http request: POST / HTTP/1.1 User-Agent: Jakarta Commons-HttpClient/3.1 Host: 127.0.0.1:4232 For debugging I am using the Axis TCPMonitor. There every things is fine but the empty request. How I process the stream: StringBuffer requestBuffer = new StringBuffer(); InputStreamReader is = new InputStreamReader(socket.getInputStream(), "UTF-8"); int byteIn = -1; do { byteIn = is.read(); if (byteIn > 0) { requestBuffer.append((char) byteIn); } } while (byteIn != -1 && is.ready()); String requestData = requestBuffer.toString(); How I send the request: client.getParams().setSoTimeout(30000); method = new PostMethod(url.getPath()); method.getParams().setContentCharset("utf-8"); method.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "application/xml; charset=utf-8"); method.addRequestHeader("Connection", "close"); method.setFollowRedirects(false); byte[] requestXml = getRequestXml(); method.setRequestEntity(new InputStreamRequestEntity(new ByteArrayInputStream(requestXml))); client.executeMethod(method); int statusCode = method.getStatusCode(); Have anyone of you an idea how to solve these problems? And consequently receive the expected output of the System.out.println(s) command (å).

  • Sending buffered images between Java client and Twisted Python socket server

    - by PattimusPrime
I have a server-side function that draws an image with the Python Imaging Library. The Java client requests an image, which is returned via socket and converted to a BufferedImage. I prefix the data with the size of the image to be sent, followed by a CR. I then read this number of bytes from the socket input stream and attempt to use ImageIO to convert to a BufferedImage. In abbreviated code for the client: public String writeAndReadSocket(String request) { // Write text to the socket BufferedWriter bufferedWriter = new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(socket.getOutputStream())); bufferedWriter.write(request); bufferedWriter.flush(); // Read text from the socket BufferedReader bufferedReader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(socket.getInputStream())); // Read the prefixed size int size = Integer.parseInt(bufferedReader.readLine()); // Get that many bytes from the stream char[] buf = new char[size]; bufferedReader.read(buf, 0, size); return new String(buf); } public BufferedImage stringToBufferedImage(String imageBytes) { return ImageIO.read(new ByteArrayInputStream(s.getBytes())); } and the server: # Twisted server code here # The analog of the following method is called with the proper client # request and the result is written to the socket. def worker_thread(): img = draw_function() buf = StringIO.StringIO() img.save(buf, format="PNG") img_string = buf.getvalue() return "%i\r%s" % (sys.getsizeof(img_string), img_string) This works for sending and receiving Strings, but image conversion (usually) fails. I'm trying to understand why the images are not being read properly. My best guess is that the client is not reading the proper number of bytes, but I honestly don't know why that would be the case. Side notes: I realize that the char[]-to-String-to-bytes-to-BufferedImage Java logic is roundabout, but reading the bytestream directly produces the same errors. I have a version of this working where the client socket isn't persistent, ie. the request is processed and the connection is dropped. That version works fine, as I don't need to care about the image size, but I want to learn why the proposed approach doesn't work.

  • final transient fields and serialization

    - by doublep
Is it possible to have final transient fields that are set to any non-default value after serialization in Java? My usecase is a cache variable — that's why it is transient. I also have a habit of making Map fields that won't be changed (i.e. contents of the map is changed, but object itself remains the same) final. However, these attributes seem to be contradictory — while compiler allows such a combination, I cannot have the field set to anything but null after unserialization. I tried the following, without success: simple field initialization (shown in the example): this is what I normally do, but the initialization doesn't seem to happen after unserialization; initialization in constructor (I believe this is semantically the same as above though); assigning the field in readObject() — cannot be done since the field is final. In the example cache is public only for testing. import java.io.*; import java.util.*; public class test { public static void main (String[] args) throws Exception { X x = new X (); System.out.println (x + " " + x.cache); ByteArrayOutputStream buffer = new ByteArrayOutputStream (); new ObjectOutputStream (buffer).writeObject (x); x = (X) new ObjectInputStream (new ByteArrayInputStream (buffer.toByteArray ())).readObject (); System.out.println (x + " " + x.cache); } public static class X implements Serializable { public final transient Map <Object, Object> cache = new HashMap <Object, Object> (); } } Output: test$X@1a46e30 {} test$X@190d11 null

  • InputStreamBody in HttpMime 4.0.3 settings for content-length

    - by Ram
    I am trying to send a multi part formdata post through my java code. Can someone tell me how to set Content Length in the following?? There seem to be headers involved when we use InputStreamBody which implements the ContentDescriptor interface. Doing a getContentLength on the InputStreamBody gives me -1 after i add the content. I subclassed it to give contentLength the length of my byte array but am not sure if other headers required by ContentDescriptor will be set for a proper POST. HttpClient httpclient = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpPost httpPost = new HttpPost(myURL); ContentBody cb = new InputStreamBody(new ByteArrayInputStream(bytearray), myMimeType, filename); //ContentBody cb = new ByteArrayBody(bytearray, myMimeType, filename); MultipartEntity mpentity = new MultipartEntity(HttpMultipartMode.BROWSER_COMPATIBLE); mpentity.addPart("key", new StringBody("SOME_KEY")); mpentity.addPart("output", new StringBody("SOME_NAME")); mpentity.addPart("content", cb); httpPost.setEntity(mpentity); HttpResponse response = httpclient.execute(httpPost); HttpEntity resEntity = response.getEntity();

  • How to verify if the private key matches with the certificate..?

    - by surendhar_s
I have the private key stored as .key file.. -----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY----- MIICXAIBAAKBgQD5YBS6V3APdgqaWAkijIUHRK4KQ6eChSaRWaw9L/4u8o3T1s8J rUFHQhcIo5LPaQ4BrIuzHS8yzZf0m3viCTdZAiDn1ZjC2koquJ53rfDzqYxZFrId 7a4QYUCvM0gqx5nQ+lw1KoY/CDAoZN+sO7IJ4WkMg5XbgTWlSLBeBg0gMwIDAQAB AoGASKDKCKdUlLwtRFxldLF2QPKouYaQr7u1ytlSB5QFtIih89N5Avl5rJY7/SEe rdeL48LsAON8DpDAM9Zg0ykZ+/gsYI/C8b5Ch3QVgU9m50j9q8pVT04EOCYmsFi0 DBnwNBRLDESvm1p6NqKEc7zO9zjABgBvwL+loEVa1JFcp5ECQQD9/sekGTzzvKa5 SSVQOZmbwttPBjD44KRKi6LC7rQahM1PDqmCwPFgMVpRZL6dViBzYyWeWxN08Fuv p+sIwwLrAkEA+1f3VnSgIduzF9McMfZoNIkkZongcDAzjQ8sIHXwwTklkZcCqn69 qTVPmhyEDA/dJeAK3GhalcSqOFRFEC812QJAXStgQCmh2iaRYdYbAdqfJivMFqjG vgRpP48JHUhCeJfOV/mg5H2yDP8Nil3SLhSxwqHT4sq10Gd6umx2IrimEQJAFNA1 ACjKNeOOkhN+SzjfajJNHFyghEnJiw3NlqaNmEKWNNcvdlTmecObYuSnnqQVqRRD cfsGPU661c1MpslyCQJBAPqN0VXRMwfU29a3Ve0TF4Aiu1iq88aIPHsT3GKVURpO XNatMFINBW8ywN5euu8oYaeeKdrVSMW415a5+XEzEBY= -----END RSA PRIVATE KEY----- And i extracted public key from ssl certificate file.. • Use of text() function when using xPath in dom4j

    - by jlawless
I have inherited an application that parses xml using dom4j and xPath: The xml being parsed is similar to the following: <cache> <content> <transaction> <page> <widget name="PAGE_ID">WRK_REGISTRATION</widget> <widget name="TRANS_DETAIL_ID">77145</widget> <widget name="GRD_ERRORS" /> </page> <page> <widget name="PAGE_ID">WRK_REGISTRATION</widget> <widget name="TRANS_DETAIL_ID">77147</widget> <widget name="GRD_ERRORS" /> </page> <page> <widget name="PAGE_ID">WRK_PROCESSING</widget> <widget name="TRANS_DETAIL_ID">77152</widget> <widget name="GRD_ERRORS" /> </page> </transaction> </content> </cache> Individual Nodes are being searched using the following: String xPathToGridErrorNode = "//cache/content/transaction/page/widget[@name='PAGE_ID'][text()='WRK_DNA_REGISTRATION']/../widget[@name='TRANS_DETAIL_ID'][text()='77147']/../widget[@name='GRD_ERRORS_TEMP']"; org.dom4j.Element root = null; SAXReader reader = new SAXReader(); Document document = reader.read(new BufferedInputStream(new ByteArrayInputStream(xmlToParse.getBytes()))); root = document.getRootElement(); Node gridNode = root.selectSingleNode(xPathToGridErrorNode); where xmlToParse is a String of xml similar to the excerpt provided above. The code is trying to obtain the GRD_ERROR node for the page with the PAGE_ID and TRANS_DETAIL_ID provided in the xPath. I am seeing an intermittent (~1-2%) failure (returned node is null) of this selectSingleNode request even though the requested node is in the xml being searched. I know there are some gotchas associated with using text()= in xPath and was wondering if there was a better way to format the xPath string for this type of search.

  • getting base64 content string of an image from a mimepart in Java

    - by Bas van den Broek
Hello, I am trying to get the base64 content of a MimePart in a MimeMultiPart, but I'm struggling with the Javamail package. I simply want the base64 encoded String of a certain inline image, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this though. I wrote a method that will take the mime content (as a string) and an image name as a parameter, and searches for the part that contains the base64 content of that image name, and in the end returns this base64 string (as well as the content type but that is irrelevant for this question) Here is the relevant code: private static String[] getBase64Content(String imageName, String mimeString) throws MessagingException, IOException { System.out.println("image name: " + imageName + "\n\n"); System.out.println("mime string: " + mimeString); String[] base64Content = new String[2]; base64Content[0] = ""; base64Content[1] = "image/jpeg"; //some default value DataSource source = new ByteArrayDataSource(new ByteArrayInputStream(mimeString.getBytes()), "multipart/mixed"); MimeMultipart mp = new MimeMultipart(source); for (int i = 0; i < mp.getCount(); i++) { MimePart part = (MimePart) mp.getBodyPart(i); String disposition = part.getDisposition(); if (disposition != null && disposition.equals(Part.INLINE)) { if (part.getContentID() != null && part.getContentID().indexOf(imageName) > -1) //check if this is the right part { if (part.getContent() instanceof BASE64DecoderStream) { BASE64DecoderStream base64DecoderStream = (BASE64DecoderStream) part.getContent(); StringWriter writer = new StringWriter(); IOUtils.copy(base64DecoderStream, writer); String base64decodedString = writer.toString(); byte[] encodedMimeByteArray = Base64.encodeBase64(base64decodedString.getBytes()); String encodedMimeString = new String(encodedMimeByteArray); System.out.println("encoded mime string: " + encodedMimeString); base64Content[0] = encodedMimeString; base64Content[1] = getContentTypeString(part); } } } } return base64Content; } I cannot paste all of the output as the post would be too long, but this is some of it: image name: [email protected] This is a part of the mimeString input, it does find this (correct) part with the image name: --_004_225726A14AF9134CB538EE7BD44373A04D9E3F3940menexch2007ex_ Content-Type: image/gif; name="image001.gif" Content-Description: image001.gif Content-Disposition: inline; filename="image001.gif"; size=1070; creation-date="Fri, 02 Apr 2010 16:19:43 GMT"; modification-date="Fri, 02 Apr 2010 16:19:43 GMT" Content-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 R0lGODlhEAAQAPcAABxuHJzSlDymHGy2XHTKbITCdNTu1FyqTHTCXJTKhLTarCSKHEy2JHy6bJza lITKfFzCPEyWPHS+XHzCbJzSjFS+NLTirBx6HHzKdOz27GzCZJTOjCyWHKzWpHy2ZJTGhHS+VLzi (more base64 string here that I'm not going to paste) But when it finally prints the encoded mime string, this is a different string than I was expecting: encoded mime string: R0lGODlhEAAQAO+/vQAAHG4c77+90pQ877+9HGzvv71cdO+/vWzvv73vv71077+977+977+9XO+/vUx077+9XO+/vcqE77+92qwk77+9HEzvv70kfO+/vWzvv73alO+ Clearly different from the one that has its output in the part above. I'm not even sure what I'm looking at here, but when I try to load this as an image in a html page, it won't work. This is fairly frustrating for me, since all I want is a piece of the text that I'm already printing, but I'd rather not have to search through the mime string myself for the correct part, introducing all kinds of bugs.So I'd really prefer to use the Javamail library but could use some help on how to actually get that correct mime string.

  • Why can't Java servlet sent out an object ?

    - by Frank
I use the following method to send out an object from a servlet : public void doGet(HttpServletRequest request,HttpServletResponse response) throws IOException { String Full_URL=request.getRequestURL().append("?"+request.getQueryString()).toString(); String Contact_Id=request.getParameter("Contact_Id"); String Time_Stamp=Get_Date_Format(6),query="select from "+Contact_Info_Entry.class.getName()+" where Contact_Id == '"+Contact_Id+"' order by Contact_Id desc"; PersistenceManager pm=null; try { pm=PMF.get().getPersistenceManager(); // note that this returns a list, there could be multiple, DataStore does not ensure uniqueness for non-primary key fields List<Contact_Info_Entry> results=(List<Contact_Info_Entry>)pm.newQuery(query).execute(); Write_Serialized_XML(response.getOutputStream(),results.get(0)); } catch (Exception e) { Send_Email(Email_From,Email_To,"Check_License_Servlet Error [ "+Time_Stamp+" ]",new Text(e.toString()+"\n"+Get_Stack_Trace(e)),null); } finally { pm.close(); } } /** Writes the object and CLOSES the stream. Uses the persistance delegate registered in this class. * @param os The stream to write to. * @param o The object to be serialized. */ public static void writeXMLObject(OutputStream os,Object o) { // Classloader reference must be set since netBeans uses another class loader to loead the bean wich will fail in some circumstances. ClassLoader oldClassLoader=Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader(); Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(Check_License_Servlet.class.getClassLoader()); XMLEncoder encoder=new XMLEncoder(os); encoder.setExceptionListener(new ExceptionListener() { public void exceptionThrown(Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); }}); encoder.writeObject(o); encoder.flush(); encoder.close(); Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(oldClassLoader); } private static ByteArrayOutputStream writeOutputStream=new ByteArrayOutputStream(16384); /** Writes an object to XML. * @param out The boject out to write to. [ Will not be closed. ] * @param o The object to write. */ public static synchronized void writeAsXML(ObjectOutput out,Object o) throws IOException { writeOutputStream.reset(); writeXMLObject(writeOutputStream,o); byte[] Bt_1=writeOutputStream.toByteArray(); byte[] Bt_2=new Des_Encrypter().encrypt(Bt_1,Key); out.writeInt(Bt_2.length); out.write(Bt_2); out.flush(); out.close(); } public static synchronized void Write_Serialized_XML(OutputStream Output_Stream,Object o) throws IOException { writeAsXML(new ObjectOutputStream(Output_Stream),o); } At the receiving end the code look like this : File_Url="http://"+Site_Url+App_Dir+File_Name; try { Contact_Info_Entry Online_Contact_Entry=(Contact_Info_Entry)Read_Serialized_XML(new URL(File_Url)); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } private static byte[] readBuf=new byte[16384]; public static synchronized Object readAsXML(ObjectInput in) throws IOException { // Classloader reference must be set since netBeans uses another class loader to load the bean which will fail under some circumstances. ClassLoader oldClassLoader=Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader(); Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(Tool_Lib_Simple.class.getClassLoader()); int length=in.readInt(); readBuf=new byte[length]; in.readFully(readBuf,0,length); byte Bt[]=new Des_Encrypter().decrypt(readBuf,Key); XMLDecoder dec=new XMLDecoder(new ByteArrayInputStream(Bt,0,Bt.length)); Object o=dec.readObject(); Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(oldClassLoader); in.close(); return o; } public static synchronized Object Read_Serialized_XML(URL File_Url) throws IOException { return readAsXML(new ObjectInputStream(File_Url.openStream())); } But I can't get the object from the Java app that's on the receiving end, why ? The error messages look like this : java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: PayPal_Monitor.Contact_Info_Entry Continuing ... java.lang.NullPointerException: target should not be null Continuing ... java.lang.NullPointerException: target should not be null Continuing ... java.lang.NullPointerException: target should not be null Continuing ...
