• Cant add network printer with system-config-printer package

  Hello im new here and I dont know if im doing it right but I hope yes. I have a printer conected to a windows 8 machine, also I had ubuntu 13.04 and it worked fine when I printed from linux to windows but when I upgraded to 13.10 my printer didnt worked, I removed it thinking that would fix it but when I tryed to add the printer again I couldnt, I reinstalled cups and the system-config-printer-gnome package but didnt worked. • I cant add PPA repositories!

• Cant get lm-sensors to load ATI Radeon temp or fan

  New to Linux and having minor issues :/ . I followed this guide initially but did not recieve the proper output and did not show my ATI Radeon HD 5000 temp or fan speed. Then used this guide, same problems exhibited. No issues installing and no errors. I think its not reading i2c for some reason. The proprietary driver is installed and functioning correctly according fglrxinfo. I can use aticonfig commands and view both temp and fan. Any ideas on how to get it working under 'sensors'?   I have a sub-class(let's call it sub) and it contains all the function of an object in my game. In my main class(Let's call it main), i connect my sub to main. The problem is that I don't want to connect my main class to use my main's int, booleans and others. If i connect it, it will have a stack overflow.   whenever i attempt to install aircrack-ng in terminal i get the following error "Package aircrack-ng is not available, but is referred to by another package. • Cant get internet connection at all on Ubuntu 13.04

  I installed Ubuntu 13.04 alongside my Windows Vista, at the start of installation it doesn't connect to the internet to download updates during installation, also during installation towards the end it removes a lot of stuff that i couldn't catch the details of at the time, it won't find my internet connection even though windows does, i tried using the ethernet cable but it wouldn't pick that up either. So i clicked in Ubuntu... System, network-Browse Internet, then Windows Internet and it said "failed to retrieve share list from server:no such file or directory" how can i get Ubuntu to find my internet???

  I was thinking of "Getting Involved" with Ubuntu and decided to join the Bug Squad. After a few steps of joining, I got an email with a OpenPGP key licenced at Gnu version 1.4.10 and went on their website. They recommended me a couple of apps that can decode the code, but none of them worked, in fact each of them said that the code is corrupted. I thought that there's something wrong with that email, so I resent the request. As I got another email and tried the code with those programs, the programs said the same thing. How can I decode the code properly? Is there an online way of doing it? Any suggestions?

I have to connect through a proxy on ubuntu, which works fine. This is not a ubuntu version related problem as i have been getting it from ubuntu 11.04. I want to know what difference is there in ubuntu and windows 7 which creates such results and how to fix it?

  ive been trying to dual boot Ubuntu with windows 8 but so far I haven't been able too. the laptop im using is a HP Pavilion g6-2240sa pre-installed with windows 8. ive made the bootbale USB with Ubuntu 12.10, it installs but when I restart the computer boot straight into windows, no grub boot options. I can get into Ubuntu once by doing an advanced restart and booting from the Ubuntu partition. I can use Ubuntu fine but once I restart or shutdown, I do the advanced restart again and the Ubuntu partition is now gone and I have to reinstall. i used this tutorial to install Ubuntu, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNCSbTyUzoM After i have to reinstall and still no grub boot menu, i used the boot repair to re-install it. once i rebooted the computer it went straight to windows again and the Ubuntu partition was gone. can i dual boot windows 8 and unbuntu 12.10 with the grub so i can pick what OS to boot into when the computer is starting, and without the partition going AWOL????   I took about 1 hour installing Ubuntu to my Acer chrome book. I turned off my computer and now it boots back into Chrome OS (yes i know its supposed to) Then i went onto the Chrome OS dev terminal thing and put in the code sudo cgpt -i 6 -p 5 -s 1 /dev/sda. Nothing happens it comes up with another Local Host slot. I tried using the Ctrl Alt f2 and ctrl alt f3 but nothing happened. I really need to get back onto Ubuntu. All help is appreciated.

• Cant mount cryptswap1 ?

  From the reading I've done, it seems it's having issues mounting the encrypted files. The guys here: could not mount /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 Seem to be suggesting how to fix it, but I am new to Linux and have NO idea how to do any of that. Can anyone walk me through how to edit that file? Or should I just reinstal? Is there a way to reinstall and keep my programs?   So I tried to install wine 1.5 a few times, I got 1.4 installed, and 1.6 installed oddly enough, I completely removed and purged all wine and still nothing.   I list products on my homepage and on a company details page. I use the exact same HTML, but for some reason the product appears different: The productname is "Artikel 1". Here the product is displayed correctly: http://www.zorgbeurs.nl/ Notice how the green price area is right below the product. But here: http://www.zorgbeurs.nl/bedrijven/76/mymedical the green price area is all the way at the bottom of the page. Why?

• Workflow 4.5 is Awesome, cant wait for 5.0!

  About 2 years ago I wrote a blog post describing what I would like to see in Workflow vnext: http://geekswithblogs.net/JoshReuben/archive/2010/08/25/workflow-4.0---not-there-yet.aspx At the time WF 4.0 was a little rough around the edges – the State Machine was on codeplex and people were simulating state machines with Flowcharts. Last year I built a near- realtime machine management system using WF 4.0.1 – its managing the internal operations of this device: http://landanano.com/products/commercial   Well WF 4.5 has come a long way – many of my gripes have been addressed: C# expressions - no more VB 'AndAlso' clauses state machine awesomeness - can query current state many designer improvements - Document Outline is so much more succinct than Designer! Separate WCF Service Contract interfaces and ability to generate activities from contract operations ability to rehydrate to updated flow definitions via DynamicUpdateMap and WorkflowIdentity you can read about the new features here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh305677(VS.110).aspx   2013 could be the year of Workflow evangelism for .NET, as it comes together as the DSL language. Eg on Azure it could be used to graphically orchestrate between WebRoles, WorkerRoles and AppFabric Queues and the ServiceBus – that would be grand.   Here’s a list of things I’d like to see in Workflow 5.0: Stronger Parallelism support for true multithreaded workflows . A Workflow executes on a single thread – wouldn’t it be great if we had the ability to model TPL DataFlow? Parallel is not really parallel, just allows AsyncCodeActivity.     support for recursion an ExpressionTree activity with an editor design surface a math activity pack return of application level protocol (3.51 WF services) – automatically expose a state machine as a WCF service with bookmark Receive activities generated from OperationContract automatically placed in state transition triggers. A new HTML5 ActivityDesigner control – support with different CSS3  skinnable hooks,  remote connectivity (had to roll my own) A data flow view – crucial to understanding the big picture Ability to refactor a Sequence to custom activity in a separate .xaml file – like Expression Blend does for UserControl state machine global error handling - if all states goto an error state, you quickly get visual spagetti. Now you could nest a state machine, but what if you want an application level protocol whereby each state exposes certain WCF ops. DSL RAD editing - Make the Document Outline into a DSL editor for adding activities  – For WF to really succeed as a higher level of abstraction, It needs to be more productive than raw coding - drag & drop on the designer is currently too slow compared to just typing code. Extensible Wizard API - for pluggable WF editor experience other execution models beyond Sequence, Flowchart & StateMachine: SSIS, Behavior Trees,  Wolfram Model tool – surprise us! improvements to Designer debugging API - SourceLocation is tied to XAML file line number and char position, and ModelService access seems convoluted - why not leverage WPF LogicalTreeHelper / VisualTreeHelper ? Workflow Team , keep on rocking!
