  Hi all, could someone explain me what's the idea behind using Auto-Implemented Properties c#? public class Customer { public int ID { get; set; } public string Name { get; set; } } I get the motivation to use properties for private field, so we can determine how one can access a private field. But here - it's just like defining the field to be public from the first place. no? Is there a difference between defining a field to be "public const" or define it to have a get-only property ?   Hi all, I wrote some code in c, using pthread (I configured the linker and compiler in eclipse IDE first). #include <pthread.h> #include "starter.h" #include "UI.h" Page* MM; Page* Disk; PCB* all_pcb_array; void* display_prompt(void *id){ printf("Hello111\n"); return NULL; } int main(int argc, char** argv) { printf("Hello\n"); pthread_t *thread = (pthread_t*) malloc (sizeof(pthread_t)); pthread_create(thread, NULL, display_prompt, NULL); printf("Hello\n"); return 1; } that works fine. However, when I move display_prompt to UI.h no "Hello111 " output is printed. anyone know how to solve that? Elad

• XML deserializer (Iserialzable)

  Hey everybody, I have a class in c# that implements Iserialzable. I'm using a XMLSerializer that produces a XML from instance of that class. I get the following XML: <?xml version="1.0"?> <Configuration xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"> <SessionConfiguration> <RemoteMachineName>HV-BENDA</RemoteMachineName> </SessionConfiguration> <SessionsCredentialsList> <CredentialsItem> <User>test0</User> <Password>Pa$$word1</Password> </CredentialsItem> <CredentialsItem> <User>test1</User> <Password>Pa$$word1</Password> </CredentialsItem> <CredentialsItem> <User>test2</User> <Password>Pa$$word1</Password> </CredentialsItem> <CredentialsItem> <User>test3</User> <Password>Pa$$word1</Password> </CredentialsItem> <CredentialsItem> <User>test4</User> <Password>Pa$$word1</Password> </CredentialsItem> </SessionsCredentialsList> <TIME_OUT /> <LOCAL_USERS_NUM>5</LOCAL_USERS_NUM> </Configuration> At some later point in the code I use a XMLSerializer again to deserial that XML document. and I get the following error: {"There is an error in XML document (1, 1)."} Inner exception: {"Data at the root level is invalid.
