Oracle ADF Framework for 4GL Developers Workshop (15-17/Jun/10)

This 3 day workshop is targeted at Oracle Forms professionals interested in developing JEE applications based on Oracle ADF (Application Development Framework). The workshop highlights the similarities between the 2 development paradigms, while also discussing the crucial differences and components such as the ADF BC and ADF Faces. The goal is to lower the learning curve and enable the attendees to leverage ADF technology immediately, either in developing new applications or re-writing existing Forms applications. Settings xorg.conf to be used with VESA driver?

I have an brand new installation of Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic version) where everything is fine except the video resolution. In Ubuntu 9.10, the file xorg.conf is empty by default. I'm using an onboard video card, and Ubuntu can not find the right resolution for me. It always uses 800x600, but I need at least 1024x768. Also, my monitor is listed as Unknown Type. Ubuntu did find the right resolution when I changed the monitor to a Samsung monitor. By the way what are the generic settings to put inside xorg.conf? What is the settings for Refresh Rate, for example, I got a resolution of 1280x800, but the Refresh Rate generally between 60 ~ 80 htz is ZERO on my resolution.. In 1024 resolution my Refresh Rate is 75 htz.. What is going on with my resolution and how to modify the Refresh Rate?? Many Thanks!

Backup Failed, need help not failing

Backup (Deja Dup) failed to do an initial backup to my Amazon S3, and despite my best Googling efforts, I could not find a solution : ( Here's the error message: BackendException: Error uploading s3+http://deja-dup-auto-akiaiksyiqi3buaaz26a/My-Archive/duplicity-full.20130805T143807Z.vol1.difftar.gpg I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on a System76. What do I need to develop a PHP extension in lampp?

Actually I'm dealing with a trouble in my system, I have to delivery the system to clients and it was built in PHP, JS, ShellScript and SQL. I would like to encrypt the code or obfuscate it from eyes of others! Then someone from the community told me about build my own PHP extension, it sounds to me as a great idea, since it will not be with the main code of the system. But I have a problem doing this way, if a programmer get in the extensions and find it, all the hard work has gone. Then I'm here to ask again about this matter. What is the best way to hide my Business Logic from third parties? I know that has stuffs like IonCube, Zend Guard, and many others. But I'm looking something that I can build myself. Is PHP extension the right way to follow? Or some Half SaaS system, with dependencies (Business Logic) in a remote server? About the environment OS: Kernel Linux 2.6.37.1-1.2 - LAMPP (Apache 2.2, MySQL 5.5 PHP 5.3.8) In php generally the extension is located at /php/ext/ but in lampp I have no idea where it is, I just found a folder /opt/lampp/lib/php/extensions/ is that right place?

I'm Brazilian and I'll go to California in July 2014 to study for 1 year and I'm intending to get a winter internship in the game development industry. I'm a programmer since 2008 and I know C#, PHP, Java, Python and a bit of Perl. My question is: do you know any certified required (or helpful) to get a winter job as a game developer? I have no problem to learn new languages, I'm thinking to get a C or C++ certified because I'm not sure about which is the most used language, but before to start a study marathon to take a certification, I have to choose the language and the certification itself. Can you help me, and is that a valid question?

What is the best idea to put available OS (linux) and Web application to client?

After a year programming a web based business management system, I got my idea divided into two differents ways to do what I'm doing... I will try to explain in follow lines: First I will describe my enviroment: Webserver: apache, ngynx Programming Language: PHP, Shell Script, Java Script, SQL Database: Mysql Operating System: Linux, UNIX (All Distros) (If manually configured works on windows) Authentication Server: FreeRadius First situation I have my application running on this enviroment that I had just described before, as my application is a SaaS app, then I have my own server to run it all and customers pay to use it as a service accessed by webbrowser. Second Situation The same as before but with one big difference, everything (environment) is installed in the customer, then I need to cryptography all my codes (It includes PHP and Shell Scripts). I think this situation is most difficulty, but I would like to hear it from different points of view.

gedit-developer-plugins on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander

I've installed gedit-developer-plugins on a fresh Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander I've lauched gedit (from the terminal) but when I turn a GDP plugin on (in this case GDP Find) I get the following error: (gedit:3640): libpeas-WARNING **: Could not find loader 'python' for plugin 'gdpfind' The same error only shows while turning on GDP plugins, the others work well. Any solution to make this plugins work again?

Xubuntu 12.4 upgraded fine but there are everywhere pale grey windows/menus with white fonts!

I upgraded to Xubuntu 12.4 through the update manager. Everything works fine except that many windows and menus (Ubuntu Software Center,Transmission properties etc) apear in pale grey with white fonts. For examle, it's impossible to read n change properties on Transmission. Titles apear excellently, the rest is really hard to read: white text on allmost white background ... I have tried already:rebooting, changing theme/apearance photo1 http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/-26042012-102025.php When login as guest everything works fine. I created a new account, all is fine photo2 http://en.zimagez.com/zimage/-26042012-103258.php But I still want my initiall user-account which i had so well tuned...

Audio not working for Gnome Screencast Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R

I can do screencasts by pressing ctrl+alt+shift+r, but I get no sound when I view the videos, I've check my built in mic and headset, they both work on skype and such, I just can't record sound with the gnome built in screencasting. Also, when I open the videos in movieplayer they are in mute by default and there's nothing the the preferences I can find to change that. Any help would be awesome!

I tried to use the Random in the config element where i have defined the Minimum value: 47.9999 (RND1) Maximum value: 30.9999 (RND2) Then in the selected Prepared Selected Statement i placed this values: Parameter values:${RND1},${RND1},${RND2} Parameter types:DOUBLE,DOUBLE,DOUBLE But it seems not work, because i receive an error: Response message: java.sql.SQLException: Cannot convert class java.lang.String to SQL type requested due to java.lang.NumberFormatException - For input string: "${RND1}"

Slow performance over network (Ubuntu)

i did setup this NodeJs TCP Server and tested it with a message flooder. Just to see how the performance of the server is. While the message throughput is great if i run the server and the message flooder on the same computer (ubuntu), the throughput dramaticaly decreases if i start the server on computer1(ubuntu1) and the message flooder on computer2(also ubuntu). Both PC are on the same network. In fact, they are directly connected to each other. I started searching the internet for reasons and i suppose i need to tune TCP on both Ubuntu-pcs but until now i haven't been successfull at all. Has anyone experienced such problems, or could someone help me out? HP Proliant ML115 G5 - Boot order lost after reboot

I have one HP Proliant ML 115 G5 (AMD) with the latest BIOS (07-06-2009) and recently I've installed an USB disk. This is a common problem on old Proliant servers. When you plug the USB disk, BIOS boot order changes and tries to boot via USB. So, I'll change the BIOS settings and make the SATA disk the default boot device. The problem is, when I need to unplug the usb disk, and plug it again later. I can't be always changing the BIOS settings... How can one solve this for ever?!?!

Comunication from Server to Client + Client LAN

I'm having some trouble with some network setup. I've tried OpenVPN, SocialVPN, Hamachi, still it is not working. This is my setup: Server A: NIC 1 with internet public address, NIC 2 to LAN Client B PC: NIC 1 (192.168.10.2) connects to router 192.168.10.1 Client B Device: 192.168.10.3 (Configured via software, can't do much here) Problem: Server A must connect to cliente device B. (I can install software needed at Client B PC). However... I can't change the router to some model with VPN like Draytek or Cisco :( OpenVPN fails at bridging, PC B can ping Server A, but Server A can't ping Device B, only PC B. What else can I do?!?!?

I use svcutil.exe to generate proxy classes from a hosted WebService created by WebSphere that uses Java under the hood. I am using the XmlSerializer instead of DataContractSerializer and targeting Framework v3.5 with VS2010 The proxy classes are generated with the following attribute for each property [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlArrayAttribute(Order=20)] How can i tell the utility to suppress generating the Order parameter?
