jQuery - ajax page load - php scope

I am using jquery.tabs() and want to load the pages of the tabs with ajax. I am using MVC pattern with PHP and used a frontcontroller / pagecontroller pattern. The templating is done by PHP, e.g.: <?php if($this->userLoggedIn == TRUE): ?> <span>Herzlich Willkommen <?php echo $this->userName; ?>! [<a href="logout">Ausloggen</a>] </span> <?php endif; ?> The variables ($this-userName) are injected by the pagecontroller class. The problem is, that when I load a page via ajax, the variables are not known. Following PHP error is coming up: Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context.... Any idea, how to use / load the variables and using it in the template files.

Zend not autoloading models

Ok, this is driving me nuts! I have a directory structure as follows: application - modules -- default --- controllers --- models ---- DbTable ---- Cachmapper.php --- views My config file looks like this [production] phpSettings.display_startup_errors = 0 phpSettings.display_errors = 0 includePaths.library = APPLICATION_PATH "/../library" bootstrap.path = APPLICATION_PATH "/Bootstrap.php" bootstrap.class = "Bootstrap" resources.frontController.moduleDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/modules" resources.modules[] = The application seems to work, if I navigate to localhost, it correctly goes to the index controller. But, for some reason it refuses to load any models. Fatal error: Class 'Model_Cachmapper' not found in .............................../application/modules/default/controllers/IndexController.php on line 26 Ideas? Thanks

access models and forms within modules

Hi Stackers, What is the best way to access my models and forms from a controller of a module? Let's explain with "pictures": /application/module/storage/controllers/IndexController.php needs to call readAction in the class called storage_Model_Files in /application/module/storage/models/Files.php I've made this app's dir structure and these forms and models with zf.sh (Zend_Tool). I've read about all sorts of ways of manually including these files. I want to lazy load them much like everything is done automatically with the default module. I can't seem to find how in the docs. Does that make sense? I have: resources.frontController.moduleDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/modules" in my application.ini file. So I can access my controllers fine. Thanks for your help!

Zend framework "invalid controller" error message

When I load the homepage of a ZF site I get a message saying "Invalid controller specified (error)" where "error" seems to be the name of the controller. In my bootstrap.php I have the snippet below where I added the prints statement in the catch(): // Dispatch the request using the front controller. try { $frontController->dispatch(); } catch (Exception $exception) { print $exception; exit; exit($exception->getMessage()); } This prints out: exception 'Zend_Controller_Dispatcher_Exception' with message 'Invalid controller specified (error)' in /www/common/ZendFramework/library16/Zend/Controller/Dispatcher/Standard.php:241 Stack trace: #0 /www/common/ZendFramework/library16/Zend/Controller/Front.php(934): Zend_Controller_Dispatcher_Standard->dispatch(Object(Zend_Controller_Request_Http), Object(Zend_Controller_Response_Http)) #1 /www/site.com/htdocs/application/bootstrap.php(38): Zend_Controller_Front->dispatch() #2 /www/site.com/htdocs/public/index.php(16): require('/www/site....') #3 {main} Can anyone make sense out of what it going on? I have a hunch it has something to do with case sensitivity and the naming conventions of ZF. Zend Framework - How do make a hierarchy without it being a module?

Here is my specific issue. I want to make an api level which then under that you can select which method you will use. For example: test.com/api/rest test.com/api/xmlprc Currently I have api mapping to a module directory. I then setup a route to make it a rest route. test.com/api is a rest route, but I would rather have it be test.com/api/rest. This would allow me later to add others. In Bootstrap.php: $front = Zend_Controller_Front::getInstance(); $router = $front->getRouter(); $route = new Zend_Controller_Router_Route( 'api/:module/:controller/:id/*', array('module' =>'default') ); $router-addRoute('api', $route); $restRoute = new Zend_Rest_Route($front, array(), array( 'rest' )); $router-addRoute('rest', $restRoute); return $router; In application.ini: resources.frontController.moduleDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/modules" I know it will involve routes, but sometimes I find the Zend Framework documentation to be a little hard to follow. When I go to test.com/rest/controller/ it works how it should, but if I go to test.com/api/rest/ it tells me that my module is api and controller is rest.
